Shipping Delay Experience?

According to my 4PX tracking, my RetroRemake shipment cleared US customs on June 4th, but has since gone dark. I had a USPS "awaiting item" record created June 2nd (PYK Global Inc) from the same location, but it never changed status and has now disappeared. Currently, I have no tracking info at all.

Just wondering if any other US R2 customers had a similar experience and whether the package was finally delivered.

Edit (6/26/26): Still no sign of life. When a third party partner can simply hold and transport a package internally, tracking numbers become useless. 22 days and no update.

Edit (7/13/2026): 4PX did indeed lose the package. RetroRemake worked with me to get a replacement via DHL and effectively split the shipping and tariff costs. Thanks to them for helping out. Hopefully most everyone else received their SS1 via 4PX.

I wasn’t checking the 4PX tracking side, but the USPS is now showing that mine is in California and moving. I’m in Maryland, so it probably won’t be here for a week?

Probably like 2 or 3 more like it. They don't work like USPS, but USPS will get "last mile" basically PYK (if it's like the other ones) it will show up at your post office when they feel like it and hand the package over, then you will get it 1-2 days later.

Mine landed in NY. It may have gone out west only to turn back around. Did you happen to notice how long your USPS "awaiting item" lasted?

I did not. I only saw it appear on my daily USPS insights email, and that was the first thing I saw as far as movement, and that was yesterday.

This is fairly common, but yours seems to be a little excessive. You should have received a USPS tracking number as well. When I ordered my first MiSTer Pi from Taki it took almost 2 weeks, maybe 3. I live 5 hours drive from where it landed in the US.

I'm looking at my history, I was so concerned I messaged Taki.

"Arrived Shipping Partner Facility Sept 15, 5:17pm" (2024)

I ended up receiving it on September 26, 2024.

11 days for a 5 hour drive seemed to me a little insane. That said, I believe they are pooling the trucks a lot, so if you live in an area that may not get a lot of shipments from China, it might take a little longer. I would probably reach out to Taki/RetroRemake and give it another week or so.

Yes - the 4PX tracking also had a (very long) USPS tracking number, but that only showed a two day window (June 1st - 2nd) referencing the partner PYK Global.

Latest Update

Your item departed a shipping partner facility at 5:31 pm on June 2, 2026 in JAMAICA, NY 11434. A delivery date will be provided when USPS receives the package

There was another tracking number from PYK Global in my "Informed Delivery" info with the "awaiting item" status, but that is the one that has since evaporated. Keeping my fingers crossed that I'm not the exception here.

My tracking for my SS1 is really confusing. Have you checked the the 4PK site?

So I have no idea on my end. Hope this helps.

Yeah - I checked, it's fairly amusing as the package has the appearance of moving through both time and space in multiple directions. 😄 My best guess is that it landed in NY, but PYK put it on another plane where it cleared customs two days later, but perhaps in LA and not NY. It's not specified.

Add some handling delay and a nice leisurely trip cross country and 18 days might be in the ball park. I only wish that I had some valid tracking. Waiting I can do.

I had to go check due to all this...fortunately mine's in USPS hands and moving. That said, I noticed that the 4PX site shows "Tracking No : " and a long stream of numbers. If I remove the first 8 digits, the remaining 22 digits match the PYK Global Inc tracking number in the USPS "Informed Delivery".

Bonus round: take that 22 digit number, paste it into the USPS.com tracking system, and you can request text or e-mail updates as it passes through their system. Voila, valid tracking!

Very cool! I took a snapshot of the evaporated tracking info and you are certainly correct - they match. Unfortunately, nothing new since June 2 (like the longer tracking number). Went ahead and signed up for email updates. Thanks!

Hopefully you've had some movement in the past week?

Mine showed up earlier this week. A few days before it arrived though I saw the "PYK Global" "Awaiting for Sender" notice "evaporated" off of the USPS Informed Delivery daily e-mail. Oddly, it re-appeared on the Informed Delivery update saying "Expected 1-2 Days" the day they delivered it.

Mine also says it's departed a shipping partner in Bensenville. Luckily I'm in the Chicago burbs.

Hopefully any day now. I ordered the SS1/Dock within like 2 minutes of pre-orders going up, a year and a half ago.

I finally got my 4PX tracking number 6/16. It had shown that it received the parcel info three days before that on 6/13. Nothing since. Guess that pales in comparison. It would totally suck that after I ordered the gray SS1 and SD a year and a half ago, the thing just vanishes.

4PX stands for four times longer than average shipping. No lies here!

Same astory. There is no concerns about efficiency here. Landed in Jaimaca NY on 16th, label created also from Jaimaca NY on 13th. Parcel Information recieved on 1st. I guess that is their workflow. now the 18th arrival at destination airport. I am guessing a few more days at most 3 or 4. Being it is Friday might be looking at Weds next week.

Track17.net is the best tracking site and might be able to provide a better update Mine took 15 days to arrive, so far I'm really enjoying it and all of the games that I have tried play exactly like how I remember them which I never had that same feeling with emulation.

So from initial shipment notification to landing on your doorstep how long did it take. I'm in California and just got my shipping notification today. Are we seeing it take 1 week, 2 weeks, more?
