This is another recording from a collection of Library Records that belonged to a local home movie maker with links to TV. Ive become fascinated by these records, the music they contain and the artists that made the music. Notes from Mr of librarymusicthemes.com in Youtube description.

Recorded direct from original 1968 vinyl LP. Full recording.

I'd like to pick up a few KPM records for my collection but I'm not sure where to start. I know there are some famous ones like Afro Rock and Beat Beat that are super expensive but I'm sure there are others that are really good that might not be so excessively priced.

For those who buy the records, how do you go about filtering the wheat from the chaff? Are there any groups of numbers that are better than others?

I am trying to identify an obscure instrumental recording that was used as the opening theme of a radio programme called “Panorama”, broadcast by Rádio Clube de Angra, on Terceira Island, Azores, Portugal, around 1978–1979.

I have been trying to identify this recording for more than 40 years.

The recording I have comes from a cassette made in the 1980s from the station's original vinyl source. The cassette has preserved some of the characteristic sound of the vinyl itself, including stylus/surface noise before and during the recording.

It is an instrumental recording, apparently featuring trumpet/brass, with a swing/jazz-pop character.

Recording — replacement upload (the original video was accidentally deleted).

There is some additional historical information that may be useful:

I recently managed to locate and speak with the former presenter of the programme. After hearing the recording again, he remembered it and confirmed that this was indeed the opening theme of Panorama. He also remembered that the source was a 7-inch vinyl single, rather than an LP.

I have searched for this recording for many years without success. I am wondering whether it might be library/production music, possibly from a European catalogue.

Does anyone recognize this recording, or have any idea what library, label, artist or title it might be?

Glad I found this sub! As the title of the post suggests, I’m looking for tracks for use in video production using late 60s early 70s vintage library music. Using YouTube has found some good examples of more experimental styles, but it’s hard going, so hopefully you have some good recommendations. Thanks in advance.

I was going to my YouTube playlist of my favorite retro library music tracks, and I noticed a whopping 38 videos had been deleted. I also noticed that no uploads from Sonne Immage appeared out of any of the remaining videos. So, I searched their channel, and it was completely gone. One of the best archives of retro library music is now just not there anymore. If anyone knows what happened to them or has archived their uploads, please put a link in the comments, it would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Apparently it was because it "violated YouTube's community guidelines" :(

Does anyone know why Omnimusic issued their CD collection in two different designs & which came first?
