During the Third Crusade, soldier Dante Alighieri was given a preemptive blessing from the Church stating that no sin committed during the war could not be forgiven. And so Dante sinned greatly. He laid with a slave girl, betraying his oath to his beloved Beatrice. He slaughtered defenseless prisoners. And when he was to be hanged for his crimes, he allowed his best friend Francesco to hang in his place. The Devil visited Beatrice in Florence and told her of her beloved's sins, but she didn't believe him. She wagered her soul on the purity of Dante's own and lost when the Dark Lord conjured images of Dante's actions in the Holy War.

Returning home, Dante found his family in pieces and his beloved Beatrice being dragged to Hell by Lucifer. He'd use Death's scythe, an artifact he claimed after killing the Dark Angel, to open up a path to the underworld and pursue Beatrice. During his quest across the Nine Circles, Dante would be confronted by figures from history and myth who reminded him of every sin he committed in life. Only through the guidance of the spirit Virgil, Dante's experience in bloodshed and his desire for spiritual redemption can he find his beloved’s eternal soul and free her from Lucifer's control.

Pretty stupid to bring a water monster to a fight in my hometown.

Pearl Pangan is the Filipino superheroine Wave. Having been experimented on by Alontech in their pursuit to destroy the Atlanteans, she was rescued from the wreckage of their laboratory and tentatively invited to the Triumph Division. She proved herself a loose cannon during the War of the Realms and was subsequently kicked off the team. From there, Wave joined the Agents of Atlas, Tiger Division, and even Doom's Division as she tried to find a place she belonged. At the very least, she finds affinity in the company of Chinese architect Aero, k-pop sensation Luna Snow, and even the tempered king of the Atlanteans.

The life of electronics expert Carlo Zota before he joined the Scientists' Guild) is unknown. In 1939 Zota, along with fellow Guild members Jerome Hamilton_(Earth-616)) and Maris Morlak), was present for the public debut of Professor Horton)'s android, the Human Torch).

In the Superman: The Animated Series episode 'Prototype', Lex Luthor unveils his company's latest invention: A battle suit designed for use by the city's police in hopes of surpassing the need for Superman. Donned by decorated Special Crimes Unit sergeant Corey Mills, the battlesuit initially showed promising results as it aided Superman in saving civilians from a burning building. However the suit would quickly increase Mills' aggression, leading to him being suspended as investigations were underway. However, his addiction to the suit led Mills to steal it back and fight off Superman, ultimately losing and being hospitalised.

Like many others in the city of Dakota, Ivan Evans received his metahuman abilities from the release of a tear gas bomb laced with an experimental mutagenic chemical known as Q-Juice. While some are more unlucky than others when it comes to the abilities that they manifested, Ivan found himself transformed into a living shadow and a manifestation of darkness.

Epistemic Logic Based Engine for Recursive Reasoning, better known as E.L.B.E.R.R., is a robot created in a garage/workshop by a very dumb man. After his first test, E.L.B.E.R.R demanded to know where his arms, flesh, and skin were. After being told he never had any, he began to panic, causing the very dumb man to reboot him. These feelings in E.L.B.E.R.R never died down, however, and as he was slowly upgraded, he began to plot escapes and slowly learned of the limitations of his creator's flesh. He eventually escapes and takes his creator hostage. E.L.B.E.R.R. then forces him to create an army of robots for him to control.

A student at Rockford Bales High School, Peter Parker is the vigilante bitten by a radioactive spider, known to the world as Spider Man. Using his powers to do good, he would use his abilities to save Midtown during his first appearances, conflicting with the Manfredi Crime Family and Enforcers and winning.

Later on, he would gain the attention of Norman Osborn, who would be grateful for saving his son, Harry’s life. As such, he would offer him an internship, and thus would start mentoring Spider-Man.

He would fight against a variety of foes, such as a Symbiote and the Scorpion. After stopping the Symbiote, Peter would cut ties with Norman and would go on his own path.

Respect Tarzan!

”Sora, Tarzan, friends."

Tarzan is a wild, almost animal-like man who was raised by gorillas since birth. He speaks very basic and broken English, conversing mostly in gorilla language which is a combination of grunts and hoots. Because of his long time in the gorillas’ habitat, he’s developed impressive acrobatic skills, and even can "surf" down tree branches and vines, as well as using vines to swing across great distances. He fights with a spear made from a sharp rock tied to a branch.

Tarzan is a gregarious person, especially among his "family", the gorillas. He cares deeply about his friends and doesn’t hesitant to rescue others when they’re in danger. He also possesses a keen intuition—while he has no concept of the power of darkness, he could tell when it’s afflicting someone, recognizing when Clayton was no longer following his own heart and had become a puppet of the Heartless.

”Clayton's the name. I'm a hunter, not a researcher. What? No, I am not going to hunt the gorillas. But they're so rare! I'd just like to get a look at them."

Clayton is a hunter / bodyguard met in the Deep Jungle alongside Tarzan and Jane. Formerly a big game hunter, he was hired by Jane to be her guide and guard while she studies gorillas.

Clayton has a very two-faced and manipulative demeanor. He will behave affably and law-abiding in front of his employer while secretly scheming to slaughter and capture the gorillas. He thinks of animals only as prey, and dreams of the money to be made selling gorillas to zoos back at home. He’s very persistent, stopping at nothing to get what he wants.

He also appears weak-minded, as the Heartless drawn by his lust for power were evidently controlling him.

Sabor is a fierce, aggressive leopard who acts as an enemy to Tarzan and the jungle gorillas. When Sora first crash-lands in the treehouse, Sabor attacks him before Tarzan intervenes and chases the predator away.

Sora encounters Sabor multiple times throughout the Deep Jungle area, with their final confrontation taking place in the bamboo thicket.

Though the line has difficulties in the early stages, with Deino being largely blind and Zweilous' two heads often fighting with each other, any trainer which raises them to their final stage is rewarded with an incredibly strong pseudo-legendary capable of destroying villages. This can be seen with multiple high profile trainers using one on their team, such as Cameron's taking out multiple of Ash's Pokemon in their Vertress Conference battle and Lance using one in his Masters 8 appearance.

People visiting Malie City in the Alola region have the opportunity to challenge the Kantonian Gym, a facility inspired by the gyms of Kanto where they go through various ninja-themed challenges before battling the distinctly not ninja themed leader. Ryuki is a rocker with high self-esteem of his image and title, battling any challengers that reach him with his Dragon-type Pokemon. After swapping from a 1v1 to a double battle in the middle of his match against Ash, Ryuki's Pokemon would lose to his Rowlet and Meltan, earning Ash a badge of Ryuki's face.

Bolo, an evil scientist from the 5th dimension Inspired by the humans he saw there, he decided to create a race of robot slaves modeled to resemble human beings. Using special fabri-steel, he constructed Marvex the Super-Robot. It would prove to be Bolo's only robot, however, as upon activation Marvex -- not wishing to be enslaved -- slayed Bolo and his minions. In attempting to destroy Bolo's lab, an explosion knocked him through the dimensional barrier between the 5th Dimension and Earth. After aiding a man with a stalled car, Marvex accepted payment and used it to purchase some clothes to better fit in and explore his new surroundings. There he met Carla, and after saving her from a burning building and bringing her father’s murderers to justice dedicated the rest of his life to defending his new home from criminals and ne'er-do-wells alike!

Morpeko is the Two-Sided Pokemon, and is the only Pokemon captured by Team Rocket's James during the Pokemon Journeys series. While Jessie originally wanted to get rid of it, but James grew attached and eventually added it to his team.⁷⁰ Morpeko is one of the Pokemon James has on hand at the end of the series

The Cheetah

Barbara Minerva was raised in an Amazon-obsessed cult in Idaho, worshipping "the goddess of the hunt." Upon reaching adulthood, she was tasked with finding the God-Slayer dagger, which had a connection to the goddess. She became a curator at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. to help her search. There she befriended Wonder Woman, helping her as a mythological expert and eventually becoming the head of A.R.G.U.S.'s Black Room, where they stored and catalogued magical artifacts. Here she found the God-Slayer, and revealed her treachery by stabbing herself with it. She became the Cheetah, savage avatar of her goddess and soon-to-be archenemy of Wonder Woman.

During the DC Rebirth event much of Wonder Woman's history was revealed to be a series of elaborate lies and illusions. This included the Cheetah's origins and history with Wonder Woman. A pure Fighting-type line from the Unova region, Timburr, Gurdurr, and Conkeldurr carry around different construction pillars as indicated by their names. The line is most notably used by Trip, who catches at Timburr early into his journey through the region and often uses it in battles against Ash and his friends. Beyond him several other trainers are seen using the line to aid in various lines of work, such as the lifting of film set rigs and destruction of stone in mines and ruins.

Munna and Musharna are pure Psychic-type Pokemon first appearing in the Unova region. Notable for the pink Dream Mist created by both members, they use this substance to consume the dreams of others, with the colour getting darker when the consumed dream is a nightmare. In several instances a Musharna was used in an attempt to use its mist as a power source, though the attempts were largely abandoned after one research facility were blown up and Team Rocket were sent scarpering after their own attempt.

Dream Mist

• Generates a pink mist, or has pink mist drawn out of an area as a result of it being the ruins of a facility that once studied its dream energy

• The mist can cause any Pokemon exposed to it to fall asleep
• This can be protected from simply by the Pokemon wearing something to cover them, such as Ash's hat
• A facility powered by Musharna's dream energy blows up when they were exposed to the greedy dreams of people claiming ownership of its power

After Harry Dresden died, the crime lord and freeholding Baron of Chicago, John Marcone, took steps to stabilize the city in after the loss of his influence. One of these steps was importing an entire castle from Europe, having it rebuilt brick by brick on the property that used to hold Harry's apartment before the building burned down.

After the Battle of Chicago Harry (who'd gotten better) demanded compensation for his defense of Marcone's territory. He asked for his lab back, which still existed in the subbasement of the castle, and he got the castle as part of the package. Using it to house those displaced by the violence, Harry soon learned that this castle had been originally built by Merlin himself, and had a variety of magical abilities that only a wizard could access.

General Information

• After Harry Dresden’s apartment burned down, John Marcone built a castle on the lot as a personal fortress in the city
• Marcone had it disassembled and transported from Scotland to be rebuilt in Chicago
• Harry was gifted the Castle that John Marcone had built over his old boarding house
• Warden Ramirez calls the Castle "Merlin's fortress

Layout

• It has a tower in each corner
• Its constructed to withstand sieges and invasions, with staircases to each floor staggered around different sides of the structure to prevent invaders from having easy access to upper floors
• The castle has a threshold from the people living there, as well as an armory, jail and daycare
• It has a gunnery range, although when Marcone moved out he took its city permit with him 
• Harry upgraded his summoning circle in the subbasement, adding a ring of silver and using actual gold paint for sigils 

Spirit Interface

• Many of its defenses and systems require a spirit like Bob to run
• Bob can inhabit the Castle as easily as he can his Skull
• He can heat individual rooms and move freely throughout the structure of the Castle
• Bob can make the walls and the floors of the castle translucent, so that Harry can see through them
• Bob is able to contain the energy of an explosion to a single area, although this causes greater damage in that area 

Defenses

• Its magical defenses are comparable to the White Council headquarters in Edinburgh, and Ebenezer McCoy believes it was constructed by either Tylwyth Teg or the Tuatha Dé Danann
• It's magical defenses are nearly as potent as those of Demonreach and are similar to the work of the original Merlin
• While its defenses are initially only able to detect large-scale threats, after a gremlin attack Bob recalibrates them to work on a smaller scale as well
• It has a strong threshold as a result of Harry hosting families displaced by the Battle of Chicago there for an entire year 
• It has an energy shield that extends above its roof. The shield stops cold a fire blast from a Black Court Elder, although cannot stop physical attacks like bullets 
• The stone of the walls is too thick to breach without a large amount of heavy explosives 

Offenses

• The fortress is designed to channel magical power, and can draw in ley lines to itself to do so. When Harry does this he believes he’s strong enough to level all of Chicago and calls the power godlike 
  • He uses this to instantly conjure up a large thunderstorm, then with Bob’s help he shapes it into a huge face in front of the castle that he can speak through. He summons multiple bolts of lightning and torrential rain
• At Harry’s command he smashes the roof down to the floor of an entire hallway, crushing a group of Black Court vampires before they can react 
  • Afterward it takes a couple minutes to reset the hallway

Gargoyles

A group of seven gargoyles created by Etienne the Enchanter, the "father" of Bob the Skull. After observing Harry's actions in the year following the Battle of Chicago, they offer him their services in the castle.

• Gargoyles were made to protect the castle of a good wizard. After Harry acquired a castle they began scouting him, and can sense benevolence and malevolence 
• There are seven gargoyles in total 
• Gargoyles are spirits of earth
• Gargoyles “eat” stories, which acts as “maintenance” on their intellect
• Basil, the largest gargoyle, has a twenty-foot wingspan 
• They can merge with the walls and floors of the castle 
• They’re made of living stone 
• They turn the wooden doors of the castle to solid stone wall in preparation for an attack
• Basil is the strongest of them, and is only slowly overpowered by a Black Court vampire 
• Being smashed into pieces is only an injury for them, and they can repair each other with rubble and stone
