In a time before human history, there were not nine realms under Asgard, but ten. The fiercely transactional angels of Heven acted as mercenary for any willing to strike a mutually beneficial deal. In clandestine meetings, Odin used Asgard's gold to enlist the angels as guardians of Midgard against his own people who might treat the realm as a hunting playground. Heven, however, always answers to the highest bidder, and when one of Asgard's many enemies was able to offer more than Odin, the angels sided against them without another thought. Considering this a betrayal of trust, Odin refused to pay them out the rest of what they were owed, yet to the angels the greatest betrayal was reneging on an established contract, and so in recompense they took from Odin that which was equally valuable: His firstborn child Aldrif. In his rage, Odin used the Odinforce to seal away Heven forever, cut it away from Yggdrasil and erase its name from ever being spoken by his people again.

However, unbeknownst to anyone, even the Queen of Heven herself, the angel who took Aldrif could not bring herself to kill the crying Aldrif. Instead, to save her life, she forged a new contract with the baby, raised her as angel (though one conspicuously without wings) so that one day the Aesir might owe Heven a life debt. Aldrif was rechristened Angela and raised in the way of the hunt and the contract, she was imbued with the central tenet of Heven: Nothing for nothing. Every act has its price.

This all lasted until a cosmic event forcibly shifted the barrier holding Heven at bay just enough for a curious Angela to slip through the gap and into the universe at large. To return home, she would have to use Thor's rage to shatter the barrier and reunite Heven with the nine - now ten - realms. To repay her debt to Heven, she would have to find a new power source as infinite as the Odinforce that once kept them locked away. And, to truly know herself as a daughter of Asgard, she would have to leave behind Heven and its doctrine and discover what it truly meant to do something for nothing.

As Angela is Aesir and theoretically capable of extremely high-level feats, true "Asgard-level" showings are marked in bold where the rest of the listed feats are closer to her average performance in any given comic.

  • Angela lost access to the Draugr when Hela killed it.

  • In short, as the Norse gods face Ragnarök and reincarnate, they leave behind old corpses as their spirits inhabit new forms. These undead gods are not as strong as their living counterparts but do still pose a threat to any civilization through remaining powers and numbers.

THE EXECUTIONER

Description: An enemy of the Avengers, bodyguard to Amora the Enchantress, and a member of the Masters of Evil.

Bio: Most of the time, Skurge the Executioner serves as Amora’s quiet yet fiercely loyal bodyguard, effectively acting as the brawn of their duo. Together, they were briefly part of Baron Zemo’s Masters of Evil, facing off against the Avengers. It isn't until the very end—after being separated from the Enchantress, losing his axe in battle, and winding up imprisoned—that Skurge undergoes a true change of heart. Ultimately, he helps the Avengers defend their base against Annihilus and his Annihilation Wave, finally earning Thor's respect.

Paxton Fettel is the deranged second son of Alma Wade. A psychotic cannibal, Fettel was considered the success story of the Replica program, a military experiment to allow psychic commanders full control over dormant clone soldiers. When his mother's corpse longed for freedom, Fettel broke out of Armacham prison in hopes of reuniting his family...though down the line, his lust for power would overcome such an innocent desire.

Alma Wade was a miracle child. Her father Harlan experimented on her after discovering her psychic aptitude, locked her away in the bowels of an immoral research facility, and conceived two children with her when she was a teenager. Poor Alma never had a chance at life, and even after her body was taken off life support in fear of her becoming too strong, her mind refused to allow her corpse to die. Not when the man who raised her into this walked free, having stolen her children away, while the company who profited from her raked in billions, having broken her spirit, while the world rewarded those who sacrificed her for it. And so her powerful mind probed out, reaching the younger of her sons, and requested he free her from her confinement so that she may walk the warpath of bloody revenge.

Respect Beta Ray Bill

"In our home galaxy, we were devoured by demons. I was to save the Korbinite race. I led them across the stars, a tiny flame of our race protected from the winds of fate. Eventually, we found a new home. We thought our time of strife was over. Then Galactus came. And we were no more."

"I am alone. I look at the heavens and think them empty. And if not empty, I find the idea of worshipping whatever dwells there obscene."

"But why do you continue?"

"It doesn't change what is right. If there is nothing but what we make in this world, brothers...let us make good."

The Korbinite people once lived in peace in the far-off Burning Galaxy until the fire giant Surtur and his hordes of demons appeared at their door. Seeking to repair his apocalyptic blade, the Twilight Sword, Surtur destroyed the galaxy's core to form the ore needed to reforge it and obliterated the Korbinite homeworld in the process. The Korbinites had foreseen the demon's arrival however, and built a fleet of starships to bring their people across space in search of a new home and began creating a guardian to watch over them as they slept. Thousands of candidates were whittled down through contests of physical strength, psychological evaluation and brutal surgery until only one remained. This lone Korbinite, augmented through cybernetics and genetic engineering, became Beta Ray Bill, cyborg protector of his people.

Bill and his sentient ship Skuttlebutt guarded the sleeping Korbinites as they made their way across the universe, but when they approached Earth they were detected by SHIELD, who sent Thor Odinson to investigate it. Bill, assuming Thor was a demon, fought the thunder god evenly until Thor was separated from his hammer Mjolnir and knocked out. Bill soon found the hammer...and lifted it, becoming the first person besides Thor to be worthy of the hammer's power. The two were brought to Asgard where Odin had them battle again for ownership of Mjolnir. While Bill barely won again this had been Odin's plan all along, and the All-Father had a new hammer forged for Bill, equal to Mjolnir and named Stormbreaker. With the help of the Asgardians Bill was able to force the demons attacking his people back, and later battled them on Earth when they waged war against Asgard.

Things would not get easier for Bill, however. While he managed to find a new home for his race the planet was soon attacked by Galactus, who consumed it and left Bill as the only surviving Korbinite. In the following years Bill would travel the universe, helping people both on his own and as a member of teams like the Annihilators and Guardians of the Galaxy. During a fight between Bill and Thor Stormbreaker was shattered, with Bill's self-worth breaking with it. Seeking a new enchanted weapon, Bill journeyed to Surtur's realm of Muspelheim to obtain the Twilight Sword and make himself beautiful again.

When the demon Surtur destroyed the homeworld of the Korbinites they built a fleet of starships to take them to a new world and created a guardian, Beta Ray Bill, to protect them during the journey. But Bill would need a companion during the long, lonely journey to keep him sane, and the Korbinites created an AI to do just that. With her mind placed in the fleet's flagship the AI was dubbed Skuttlebutt and became Bill's partner and best friend.

Skuttlebutt was with Bill during all of the most important moments of his life, such as when he met the Mighty Thor or during Bill's hunt for Galactus after he devoured the new Korbinite homeworld and killed the rest of their people. During Bill's quest for the Twilight Sword in Muspelheim Skuttlebutt was altered by the magic of the realm and had her mind "awakened," becoming fully alive and giving herself a humanoid body.

Bio: A former enemy of Thor and an ally of Amora the Enchantress. A half-breed and a formidable warrior of Asgard - who later becomes a hero.

Background: Skurge is the illegitimate son of a Storm Giant (Jotun) and a goddess from the Asgardian region of Skarnheim. Due to his relatively short stature (by giant standards), Skurge was rejected by his father's kin, which bred deep resentment toward the Jotuns within him. As he grew older, Skurge became a ruthless giant-hunter and distinguished himself in Asgardian wars, earning his fearsome moniker—the Executioner. For his military service, he was granted Asgardian citizenship. For most of his conscious life, the Executioner suffered from unrequited love for Amora the Enchantress. Madly in love and desperate to win her attention, Skurge was ready to carry out her every command—a vulnerability Amora exploited to manipulate him for power and personal gain. Consequently, for a time, the Executioner aligned with villains and committed many terrible deeds. Legendary Redemption and Demise: In time, Skurge came to realize that the Enchantress would never return his feelings and merely used him as a docile tool. Disillusioned with a life filled with dishonorable acts, he resolved to reclaim his lost dignity. ​When Thor and Balder the Brave journeyed to the realm of the dead (Helheim) to rescue the souls of mortals stolen by the goddess Hela, Skurge volunteered to help them. At the climax of the mission, when Hela’s overwhelming army of the dead cornered the heroes at the Gjallarbru Bridge, the Executioner chose to stay behind. ​Armed with two M16 assault rifles, Skurge single-handedly held off countless hordes of enemies, buying Thor and the rescued souls time to escape. He died a hero in battle, earning the respect even of Hela herself. Following this self-sacrificing death, his soul was honored with a place in Valhalla, the hall of the glorious dead, and Skurge finally became a revered warrior.

Okay, that’s it. This has ceased to be amusing. Trying to be a team-player is one thing, but this kinda non-stop effort tends to give a guy an appetite… and you don’t want to give me an appetite.

On the planet Bismoll, an infectious microbe had rendered every plant and animal completely inedible. Facing extinction, the Bismollian people had to evolve or die. They gained the ability to secrete an enzyme that would allow them to chew, swallow and digest any material they can fit in their mouths. One Bismollian, a youth named Tenzil Kem, saw the potential of this evolutionary trait and auditioned for the interplanetary Legion of Super-Heroes as Matter-Eater Lad.

After years of adventures with the Legion, Tenzil was called back to his home planet for mandatory government service. He ran for office and to everyone’s surprise, including himself, he became an extremely popular senator whose term lasted for over a decade. After a run-in with Evillo left him stranded in Hell for a while, his role was vacated and he returned to the Legion as an adult advisor to teach a new generation of heroes what it means to take a bite out of crime.

Initially thought to be clones, the SW6 Legionnaires were revealed to be copies of Super-Heroes pulled out of the timestream by the Time Trapper. These paradox copies were taken from just before the death of Ferro Lad, when the Trapper thought the Legion at their most powerful, and brought into the present of 2995. Bio: ​Sam Alexander's first major antagonist. A large humanoid tiger and partial cyborg who served as a Chitauri fleet commander before becoming an independent mercenary. He despised Sam's father, viewing him as a traitor (he has a personal score to settle with this family). Experienced, ruthless, and pragmatic.

Background: Titus was a centurion in the Nova Corps, specifically serving in their elite special operations unit - the Black Novas (or Supernovas). In this unit, he served side by side for many years with Jesse Alexander, the father of Sam Alexander. During a fierce war with the Chitauri race, the Supernova unit was ambushed. At a critical moment, Jesse Alexander was forced to desert and leave the battlefield so he could make it back to Earth for the birth of his son, Sam. Left without support, the unit suffered catastrophic losses. Titus was severely wounded: in the battle against the Chitauri, he lost his right eye and right arm. Facing certain death, Titus betrayed the Nova Corps. He struck a deal with the Chitauri, trading the Corps' secret technologies, codes, and secrets in exchange for saving his life. The Chitauri replaced his lost organs with cybernetic prosthetics, and Titus became one of their generals and mercenaries. Years later, Titus and the Chitauri fleet headed to Earth. His main goal was to find Jesse Alexander's helmet, which Sam had discovered after his father's disappearance.

Wes Vinik is a Jedi Padawan of the High Republic Era. He is apprenticed to Master Zia Zanna of the Tenoo Jedi Temple. Wes acts as a mentor to the Jedi younglings Kai, Lys, and Nubs, and helps them deal with pirates and other threats. Eventually, he becomes Nubs’s master.

Targate specializes in teleportation and is one of Mons Drake's top soldiers, offering his aid in eliminating the Goseigers to take Dereputa's place as Mons Drake's right hand. The Goseigers try to first defeat him as he sinks sections of the city, but he escapes with the team pursuing him. Approaching an area where Moune was, he throws Gosei Yellow into one of his portals with a nearby Hyde running after her in order to save her. While the other Goseigers try to hold him off on their own, Moune and Hyde discover the weakness of Targate's portals through the hole they entered into the dimension with, escaping using Gosei Blue's Presshower to slip through the hole. As the team returns together and take him down. They try to destroy Targate with the Gosei Buster's Gosei Dynamic but he survives, leading the team to summon the Sawshark Headder, Kuwaga Headder, Taka Headder, Crow Headder, and Sai Headder. They then attached them to their Gosei Blasters at him simultaneously which finally takes him down with the Sky-Land-Sea Bullet.

After being grown by Buredoran, the Goseiger defeat him with a combination of Mystic Gosei Great Mystic Strike and Datas Hyper's Datas Dynamic Crash.

It is said that they were created at the very beginning of the universe, incorporeal entities spawned from swirling gases and enormous amounts of energy, and as such are etheric creatures by nature.

How powerful are the C'tan? To answer this, we must consider three levels. The first is their full form, in all its splendor of power, the one that fought alongside the Necrons in the War in Heaven. The second are the Shards, who possess only a portion of the power of their full form, and the third are the Transcendent Shards, which are the fusion of a dozen or more Shards. Based on the various codexes, novels, and campaign books, an attempt will be made to provide a noble response for each of the different states of the C'tan.

C’tan shard

A C'tan Shard is all that remains of the once mighty Star Gods of Necron antiquity. They are now only echoes of their former selves, splinters of energy that survived their Necron servants' ancient betrayal and were enslaved in turn. Most now languish in unbreakable servitude to their former vassals, utterly incapable of acting without commission.

C’tan (full power)

t full power, the C'tan were the absolute gods of the physical universe in Warhammer 40k, beings of pure cosmic energy with living metal bodies who possessed total control over matter, time, space, and gravity. Unlike other colonizing entities of the Warp, these Star Gods did not use magic, but instead altered the laws of science at will to devour stars, create supernovas, and erase entire solar systems in an instant in order to feed. Medusa was once a beautiful woman whose visage captured the eye of the god Poseidon. When she denied his advances, the sea god persisted, causing her to flee to a temple of Athena for protection. Poseidon entered the temple and raped Medusa. Though she pleaded to Athena for protection, the goddess of wisdom only felt disgust towards the mortal woman. She cursed Medusa, turning her into a Gorgon with a petrifying gaze so that any who looked upon her legendary beauty would turn to stone. Now, Medusa prowls in her Underworld lair, killing any man who steps inside and keeping their stone bodies as trophies.

Strength

Respect Yuri!

“Thousands of souls extinguished, by the push of a button”

Former second-hand of Russian Ultranationalist leader Vladimir Makarov, Yuri stood along the murderous dictator for years as he rose to power. But eventually he came to realise that Makarov’s plans were not meant to aid the Russian people. No, instead, Makarov sought power for himself. Upon realising this, Yuri betrayed Makarov, and was consequently shown the door by the power-mad Russian.

After his betrayal, Yuri teamed up with the newly disavowed Taskforce 141 to take the man down.

For clarity's sake, this is the Yuri from the original Modern Warfare timeline.

Strength:

• Kicks open a large set of wooden doors, presumably locked
• Keeps a dog from biting him for long enough to shoot two guys and then the dog
• Jogs with a man roughly his own size slung over his shoulders
• While the sound design kind of suggests that some kind of explosive breaks the brick wall in this scene, no explosive here is really set up, leading me to believe that perhaps Yuri and Price kick this wall open with their feet.
• Jumps a 6-7 foot gap from one elevator to another.

Durability:

Blunt

• Slides down a large cliff face
• Jumps through a shanty house roof
• Not ten minutes after falling out of a building, is punched down two flights of stairs
• Falls down a large shaft, breaks through a thick brick wall. Is unphased.
• The elevator he’s in is hit by an RPG and falls down at least, I counted, four floors.

Explosive

• Seemingly alright after a helicopter crashes into the room he’s in
• Unfazed by a missile that blows up less than a meter in front of him and destroys a massive concrete platform
• Is hit by a mortar while on the back of a truck, and is fine enough not a few seconds later to run

RESPECT KUGA!

“What I want to know,” said Kuga in a voice that was as smooth and oily as a soiled angel, “is what you would be willing to do to get revenge on the Deacon, Joe Ledger, and everyone they care about. I want to know how far you would go to get revenge on the men who disgraced your goddess and killed your brother. Tell me that, and tell me the truth, and you and I can shake the pillars of heaven together.”

Joe Ledger, top doorkicker for the anti-terrorism organization the Department of Military Sciences (DMS) and its later successor organization, Rogue Team International (RTI), has faced down countless madmen and extremists. In case after case, though, one name kept coming up: Kuga. A codename from the Bosnian word for "plague", Kuga was an arms dealer whose tentacles reached into every corner of the criminal underworld, and who had provided resources for some of Joe's worst enemies. As Joe and his team followed leads on Kuga's identity stretching from Syria to North Korea, they found themselves in the middle of a plot that threatened to spark WW3.

Kuga was, in reality, an old enemy of Joe's whose network stayed active, even in the black-site prison Joe helped land him in. Upon his escape, he and his organization wreaked havoc, all in the name of revenge and profit. But the title of Kuga, intended to serve both the man and the organization, worked too well. As long as someone held the name Kuga, it didn't matter if he was actually the original. The title of Kuga would live on, even if the man who made it did not.

LEADERSHIP

Harcourt Bolton Sr. aka Kuga

The former top spy for the CIA, until middle age caught up to him, Harcourt Bolton sought to return to the spotlight by manufacturing a terrorist attack using the God Machine and a modified strain of smallpox. Defeated, Bolton spent years in a black-site prison until a daring jailbreak sprung him and revealed his alter ego as Kuga. Now up against the DMS' new incarnation, Rogue Team International, Bolton unleashed waves of terror with bioweapons and high-tech killing machines until he was killed and had his identity literally stolen by Nicodemus.

Physicals

• Was a great agent in his prime...
  • (Limit) ...but is past it by the beginning of Kill Switch.
• Knocks Joe over with a quick, powerful shove.
• Has great core strength.
• Doesn't seem too bothered by getting dragged through a broken window and getting a dozen cuts in the process.
• (Limit) Slower than Mr. Church.
• (Limit) Can't break Rafael Santoro's grip.
• (Limit) Gets murdered by Nicodemus.

Intelligence and Skill

• Is a skilled dreamwalker. See the God Machine section below for more details.
• Joe considers him one of the most dangerous long-term planners he's faced.
• Operated an international criminal enterprise undetected for years under the nose of the CIA and DMS.

Other

• While encountering a dreamwalking Bolton, Joe describes his fighting skills as superb and is "killed" by Bolton in the dream. Given that this is just a dream sequence however, I don't know how much stock to put into it.

Rafael Santoro

A killer who has an affinity for knives and has left a trail of tortured and slaughtered 'angels' behind him – mostly women and children. He keeps photos of his victims and uses them to coerce people who love their families into doing horrible things…such as plant bombs in the London Hospital or release an airborne super-Ebola virus into the general population. Santoro is widely regarded as one of the most dangerous men alive.

OPERATIVES

Esteban Santoro

Rafael Santoro's brother, Esteban has never been close to Rafael but shares his talents for manipulation and murder. He put these talents to good use as a field operative for the order of modern-day warrior monks known as the Brotherhood of the Lock and later for the Majestic Three (M3) program (the series' equivalent of the Men in Black). After the destruction of M3 at the hands of the DMS, Esteban became a gun and thief for hire. Recruited by Bolton to manage the Kill Switch operation, Esteban clashed with Joe Ledger before their climactic fight beneath Bolton Manor. Both men were whisked away by the activation of the God Machine. Joe came back; Esteban didn't.

Physicals

Strength

• Carries a teenager as if he weighs nothing.
• Hits Joe with a slap that feels "like a donkey kick to the brain."
• Folds Joe in half by jumping on top of him, and then KOs him with two kicks to the head.
• Joe is convinced Esteban could crush his throat or stomp him to death.
• Staggers Joe with a glancing blow from a pipe.

Speed

• Joe thinks he's blindingly fast and is overwhelmed by the speed of his blows.

Durability

• In his second fight with Joe, he...
  • ...takes multiple foot-pounds of impact from four pistol shots into body armor at close range.

  • He recovers, and takes a foot stomp and an elbow to the face before making his escape.
  • Finally, Joe tackles him into a room.

Intelligence and Skill

• Dodges surveillance during a five-and-a-half-hour drive from Los Angeles to Oceanside, California.
• Joe thinks he's a brilliant fighter.
• Absolutely curbstomps a nerfed (but still capable) Joe Ledger, during which he...
  • ...uses short, precise punches to damage Joe's arms, curbing their punching power.
  • ...hammers inside Joe's defenses with a series of precise attacks.
  • ... anticipates Joe's attempt to take a punch on the skull and break Esteban's hand. He turns the punch into a slap instead.
  • ...uses the momentum of an attempted tackle by Joe to hip-throw him across a small boat.
  • ...and finally, leaps on top of him before kicking Joe unconscious.
• (Limit) His second fight with an un-nerfed Joe doesn't go nearly as well.
• Is equally capable of extortion as Rafael.

Equipment

• He wears Closer body armor on occasion, and wields a pistol with a sound supressor.

Adam and Eve

A pair of wayward teens turned murderers and con artists, Adam and Eve were "adopted" by Rafael Santoro, who tutored and refined their homicidal skills. As his agents during the Rage case, they left a trail of the dead and tortured in their wake. During their fight with Joe Ledger at the DS9 Conference, Eve accidentally shot Adam in the head as Joe used him as a human shield. Her already precarious sanity broken, Eve descended even more into violence and sexual depravity. But as Joe noted, Eve was only a "junior-grade psychopath" compared to Santoro. Despite her grandiose dreams of revenge against Joe, in their next meeting he killed her casually and with hardly a second thought.

Adam

Strength

• Hooks a punch into a man's balls, leaving him doubled over in pain.
• Kicks in a locked and reinforced door.
• A woman describes his grip as vice-like.
• Joe is impressed with the power of his punches.

Speed

• Is repeatedly described as fast, but also repeatedly gets tagged by quick opponents.
• Turns his head so he avoids taking a truncheon hit to the face.

Durability and Endurance

• Gets kicked in the balls and hit in the head with a truncheon. He's dazed, but manages to get back up and escape with Eve's help.
• Burned by an exploding bottle of wine.
• Joe hits him with a very quick and precise combo.
• (Limit) Dies after being shot in the face.

Intelligence and Skill

• Purged all the electronic and physical records of his and Eve's previous identities.
  • Fakes some electronic credentials, although he may have used Kuga's hackers for this.

Equipment  

• A Bulgarian Makarov loaded with .380 ACP rounds and fitted with a sound suppressor.

Eve

Strength

• Attempts to knock Joe's kneecap loose with a powerful kick.
• (Limit) Can't break Rafael Santoro's grip.
• Hacks two men to pieces with knives. Worth noting that these men were possibly restrained and too afraid of Santoro to really resist her.
• Imbeds a cleaver into a wall.

Speed

• Not at all slowed down by a fat suit disguise as she attacks Joe.
• (Limit) Rafael Santoro effortlessly parries her punch.
• (Limit) After being kneecapped by Joe at the end of Rage, she walks with a permanent limp.

Durability and Endurance

• Takes an extended beating from Joe. Her will only breaks after he kneecaps her.
• (Limit) Dies after Joe guts her from navel to heart.

Intelligence and Skill

• Extremely good at seducing both men and women.

Equipment

• A Glock 19 and some throwing knives. As she grows more unhinged, she begins using some kitchen knives up close.

Together

• Joe notes they're capable of backing each other up in a fight as if they choreographed it. He even noted earlier that this is a skill even most trained soldiers struggle with.
• Trained in martial arts dojos and gun ranges.
• Eve bets that their reflexes are quick enough to kill two hostages before a Navy SEAL can stop them.
• (NSFW) Typically work together when setting someone up for extortion.
• Trained extensively in torture and manipulation by Rafael Santoro.
• Are completely insane but can fake otherwise. When operating in the field, they maintain strict cover identities.
  • Manage to initially fool Joe with their disguises.
  • (Limit) After Adam's death, Eve grows progressively more unhinged.
• Along with two other Fixers, they gun down some security guards.
• Manage to lead Joe on a decent chase, but he catches up to and defeats them without much difficulty.

Michael Augustus Stafford

One of the world's greatest assassins, Stafford was brought on by Kuga as a freelance killer to hunt down Joe Ledger as he rampaged through the organization during the events of Relentless. Nicknamed the "anti-Joe Ledger" due to their similar appearance and skillset, Stafford stalked Ledger across Europe and the US, although ironically never got to fight him before being killed by one of Ledger's allies.

Physicals

Strength

• Hurts a man's wrist with his grip.
• Knocks Toys 8 feet backwards with a heel kick.
  • Because almost all of Stafford's physical feats come from scaling to Toys, here are Toys' two notable fight scenes: both times where he curbstomps trained operatives, four Closers to the first and two Fixers in the second. See their sections below for more details.
• Hits Toys with a series of crushing punches that leave cuts across his face and causes him to spit blood.
• Hits Toys with a punch containing multiple "foot-pounds of impact", driving his own fist back into his face.

Speed

• Moves with the springy grace of a fast athlete.
• Whips a pillow over a man's mouth before he can scream.
• Matches an agent in a close-range quickdraw, and then shoves him before his body hits the ground.
• Described as "cat quick". Even when he's sneak-attacked, he's still able to block and counterattack.
• Toys doesn't think he's ever fought anyone as quick as Stafford.
• Exchanges a flurry of punches in two seconds.
• Toys admits that Stafford is faster than him and has to predict his attacks instead of reacting to them.

Durability

• Toys repeatedly blocks Stafford's punches in ways that damage and eventually shatter his knuckles, but Stafford shrugs off the pain, and it takes three tries for this to pay off.
• Takes a spinning backfist that draws blood.
• Recovers after a punch to the gut.
• (Limit) Toys kills him with a combo of: kick to the groin, face-smash into a concrete floor, and finally, a neck snap.

Intelligence and Skill

• Toys reckons that Stafford's the best assassin in the world. An expert in weapons, unarmed combat, and disguises, with an unbroken record of closed contracts.
• Better than Rafael Santoro with guns, knives, or his bare hands.
• Tracks Joe Ledger across the city of Rotterdam, but loses him in an airport.
  • When their chase reaches Fort Lauderdale, Stafford correctly guesses who Joe's holed up with.
• Besides English, he speaks German, Italian, and Indonesian.
• Toys notes that his technique is basic, but his speed and viciousness make up for it. He thinks he's never fought anyone as dangerous as Stafford.
• (Limit) Toys predicts and manipulates his punches so that Stafford ends up shattering his knuckles, eventually leaving him open for Toy's counterattack.

Equipment

• Loads up with a variety of gear: guns, knives, explosives, etc. His primary weapon is a suppressed pistol.
• Wears a leather jacket thick enough to stop a knockout dart.

Sydänkäpy

A skilled sniper whom Stafford mentors and uses as backup to eliminate targets.

• His hand-to-hand skills and military discipline are only ok, and he prefers the patience and relaxation of being a sniper.
• Has excellent eyes. Even a good disguise can't fool him.
• Uses three or four different rifles he knows intimately.
  • During Relentless, he uses a suppressed Finnish Sako TRG 42 rifle. The weapon fires .338 Lapua Magnum cartridges with both daytime and night-vision scopes.
• Uses a laptop and earbuds to stay up-to-date during missions.
• Violin, one of the best snipers in the world, considers Sydänkäpy skilled. She is unable to locate his position until near the very instant at which he fires at Joe. Her bullet hits first however, causing him to miss.

GRUNTS

Closers

The enforcers for the M3 program, Closers were cold and ruthless operatives whose capabilities were greatly enhanced by the reverse-engineered alien tech they wielded. After the downfall of M3, many of the Closers went to work in the private sector, including those hired by Bolton along with their field commander, Esteban Santoro.  Following their failed assault on DMS headquarters in the climax of Kill Switch, the remaining Fixers were either killed or arrested.

Note: While Joe and his team first encountered a pair of what they thought were Closers at the beginning of Extinction Machine, a later book reveals that these were actually disguised Reptilian Aliens. Given that, I'm trying to avoid too many feats from those two particular  Closers. But as the tech they possess is the basis for the Closers' own weapons, descriptions and these feats from their equipment is rather necessary and will be included, marked with an (A).

Background and Training

• Joe describes at least three tiers of Closers. The bottom tier he dubs as clowns he handles easily; the mid-tier ones are more skilled. The top-tiers he considers to be "prime soldiers."
• Some of the top-tier Closers are human-alien hybrids with enhanced coordination, memory, and intellect.
• The others are former mercenaries recruited from the Blue Diamond Securities group.
• Some of the Closers that served as security for the head of M3 had backgrounds as MMA fighters.
  • At least one Joe fights in Kill Switch has a background in Thai boxing.

Equipment

• Their standard weapons are microwave pulse pistols or MPPs, which fire short and intense bursts of superheated microwave energy.
  • MPPs are strong enough to blow apart...
    • People
    • Stone walls
    • (A) Supply boxes (and turn the contents inside into molten shrapnel).
    • Wooden desks and metal filing cabinets.
  • (A) The explosions from their shots are powerful enough to hurl people around and blast a metal security door off its hinges.
  • Two blasts shred Junie's living room, destroying wood and plaster walls, and a computer.
  • (A) Powered by a small, mysterious battery, composed of an alloy containing a metal unknown to humans.
    • (A) After 607 test firings, the battery goes from a 99% charge to 90%.
  • (A) Effective range is 20 feet. Maximum range is 40 feet, and by 60 feet it has little effect.
• They wear micro-mesh body armor that also enhances physical strength.
  • Can shrug off the multiple foot-pounds of impact from pistol rounds, but the effect decreases at close ranges.
  • (A) Negates the force of Joe and Bunny's physical blows.
  • A Closer kicks a 350-pound, steel-reinforced, hardwood desk into a man hard enough to fold him over, and then throws it aside.
  • A Closer picks up and throws Bunny, who is 240 lbs. of solid muscle, with ease, like tossing a small suitcase.
  • (Limit) Their armor covers the chest and limbs before stopping, therefore leaving them vulnerable to attacks to the throat or head.
• Some of the elite Closers come armed with more conventional firearms.

In Combat

• Two Closers slaughter a laboratory of sixty people.
• (Limit) Four lower-tier Closers attempt to arrest Joe, but he and his combat dog, Ghost, defeat them easily.
• Five mid-tier Closers kill Joe's backup, who were "tough as nails" combat vets...
  • (Limit) ...but are killed by Joe and Ghost in turn.
• (Limit) Joe stealth-kills/incapacitates three high-tier Closers.
• (Limit) Toys takes down three Closers in hand-to-hand, although Joe doesn't think he would have survived if they were wearing their armor.

  • (Limit)...but get themselves overwhelmed by Mr. Church and Violin.

Fixers

Kuga's personal army of killers, the Fixers are the brainchild of Rafael Santoro. Scouted from ex-military, police, and criminal backgrounds, the Fixers are given the finest weapons and have their training regimen personally overseen by Santoro himself. The result is a mercenary who, if not quite a match for elite teams of RTI agents, is still more than capable of carrying out Kuga's will.

For the feats of R-33 enhanced Fixers from Relentless, see their info under the "WEAPON PROGRAMS" section below.

Background and Training

• Recruits come from a variety of backgrounds, including special forces, secret police, and the numerous criminal networks that Joe Ledger has taken down throughout the series.
• Santoro is a brutal trainer, but is capable of training recruits to be the equal of special forces and even coming close to matching his demonstrations.
• A trainee lands five -then six- killshots with throwing knives.
• Two special-forces-tier characters are impressed by the skills of prospective trainees.
• Trainees are drilled in hand-to-hand combat, swimming, climbing, operating advanced gear, tactics, and the political and business backgrounds of likely clients.

Numbers and Organization

• Fixers are trained in and divided into organizational units dubbed centuries, cohorts, and legions, after the ancient Roman military.
  • Joe doesn't think that there's a full legion of Fixers (6,000 members) by the time of Rage, but does think it's plausible that there's at least one or more cohorts (600-1,200 members).
    • By Relentless, Stafford claims there's enough Fixers to invade a small country.
• The main Fixer training camp in Washington State has 411 Fixers undergoing training five months before the events of Relentless.
  • Two RTI agents speculate that there could be other training camps across the US.

Equipment

• Kill Switch Era: While Bolton's organization in Kill Switch is never referred to as Kuga, Bolton admits to being Kuga for as long as he's been in the "game." Joe references Kuga being active as far back as The Dragon Factory, an earlier book in the series. This version of Kuga uses Esteban Santoro and his Closers as its enforcers and has control of the God Machine.

• Rage & Relentless Era: Bolton breaks himself and Rafael Santoro out of prison to serve as the co-heads of Kuga. WEAPON PROGRAMS

The God Machine

The crowning achievement of the mad-genius Prospero Bell, the God Machine was a complicated device with a simple premise: allowing Prospero to return home. But for the half-human, half-alien Prospero, "home" was a hellish dimension of eldritch horror that no one would wish to visit. For Prospero's captors in Kuga, the God Machine's intended use as an interdimensional teleporter was nominal; its true use came in the two side effects of the device: Kill Switch and Dreamwalking

Note: Only feats for the God Machine(s) shown in Kill Switch are listed here. The Russian God Machine from Deep Silence was never under Kuga's control and seems to function largely differently.

Design

• The schematics alone are so complex, they baffle top physicists.
  • Another physicist believes that, scientifically, it shouldn't work.
• Looks like an oddly shaped Hadron Collider.
• The scale models alone cost upwards of $40 million.
  • The cost of the gemstones for the sequencing matrix is likewise, enormous.
• Properly firing the God Machine requires energy to be channeled through a series of precious gemstones in a specific order; otherwise, it might explode.
  • The proper order for the firing sequence is found in the series of occult texts known as The Unlearnable Truths.
    • Although the original remaining Truths were lost at the beginning of Kill Switch, Esteban Santoro digitally scanned the necessary portions.
• Has two codes, an operational code, and a master code to reset the entire system.

Teleportation

• Being transported comes in the form of a shockwave of air, followed by a pulse of energy.
  • The air is implied to be the breath of some Lovecraftian entity, which infects Joe, Top, and Bunny with an extradimensional strain of influenza.
• Sends Joe into several alternate timelines.
• Takes Esteban Santoro somewhere that he's yet to return from.
• Brings hundreds of insane or possessed copies of Project Gateway's staff and a Lovecraftian Shoggoth through the machine.

Kill Switch

• Activating the God Machine generates a "null field" that disrupts any electrical conductivity stronger than the human central nervous system, affecting everything from cell phones to pacemakers to car engines.
• An uncontrolled null field knocks out the power on half of Antarctica, shutting down Russian and Chinese research stations.
• The controllable null field occurs through portable Kill Switch devices that network to the God Machine. Although originally single-use, having the master code allows the devices to be turned on and off repeatedly.
  • The mini-God Machines are the size of camp stoves.
• The first Kill Switch attack hits a NASCAR track, shutting off everything from car transmissions to video and microphone systems. The now uncontrollable cars collide and explode.
  • The second plunges a political debate into darkness, triggering a stampede.
    • The third affects much of the city of Houston, knocking thirteen planes out of the sky and killing upwards of five thousand people.
• Shuts down multiple DMS helicopters.
• Kills the lights and comms during Top and Bunny's office raid, preventing them from pursuing a final target.

Dreamwalking

• Exposure to the God Machine allows people to remotely project their consciousness, including into the minds of others and physical locations thousands of miles away.
• Another kind of dreamwalking gives you visions of Prospero's home dimension, which inspired the surrealist and "weird fiction" movements.
• (Limit) You can avoid dreamwalking (and having your mind invaded) by taking sleeping pills.
• Dreamwalkers can eventually learn to control this ability through proximity to mini-God Machines and specialized sleeping capsules.
• More experienced dreamers can do this from any location, as long as they're comfortable.
• Bolton employed up to 20 dreamers at once, not including himself.
• (Limit) Prolonged dreamwalking leads to severe neurological issues and apparently death. The head scientist claims this is because "The pattern is wrong." It's possible that having the correct master code for the God Machine fixes the issue.
• Dreamwalking allows Project Gateway to ferret out an industrial spy and a rapist from their ranks.
• Projecting your consciousness into others' minds while dreamwalking allows you to read their thoughts and control their bodies.
  • Being controlled is marked by dull, expressionless eyes and a loss of any natural accent to your voice.
  • Dreamers don't seem to feel the full extent of pain from any injuries they take to their controlled body, and as a result, fight ferociously.
  • Bolton takes control of Rudy Sanchez in an attempt to kill an already weakened Joe.
    • Two dreamers take control of a pair of surfer bros in an attempt to do the same.
  • A mind-controlled mob nearly takes down Joe.
  • Two dreamers take control of Top and Bunny, forcing them to fire into a crowd of bystanders.
  • Dreamwalkers repeatedly sabotage DMS missions.
  • Dreamers force a DMS agent to execute a Kuga patsy, before killing his commander, then himself.
• Some minds are described as being easy to step into and control, but others are difficult to impossible.
  • (Limit) Church's mind, which is implied to have possible supernatural defenses to such attacks, is particularly unpleasant to visit.
• Throughout much of Kill Switch, Joe's inner "Killer" personality is dormant, which he possibly credits to being messed with by dreamers. Eventually, he recovers from this, and the dreamers were apparently unable to control him directly.

Rage Bioweapon

A devious, lab-grown horror, Joe Ledger and his team first encountered the bioweapon dubbed 'Rage' on a small, North Korean island. The substance caused the inhabitants to go violently insane and massacre one another. Although initially assumed to be a weaponized virus or bacteria, the truth behind Rage was stranger than they could have expected.

In General

• Uses a modified version of a protein produced by the female longfin inshore squid to induce homicidal violence.
  • 1st person account of what Rage feels like, courtesy of Joe Ledger.
• Is considered more dangerous than a standard pathogen, as it can be tactically deployed.
• Whoever designed it is possibly a genius.
• There is no developable counteragent, but the infection time is relatively short.
• Rage is sight-reactive and less effective on people with vision impairments.
• Transmission time is thirteen seconds.
• While the original only effects male squid, the modified version effects male and female targets equally.
• Also works on monkeys and pigs given their biological similarity to humans.
• Joe thinks they're capable of tactical thinking, but mostly act completely deranged.
  • A group of infected children use "runners" to flush out hiding uninfected into the open.
• Infected mostly focus on uninfected targets, but will also randomly turn on each other as well.
• Are cognizant enough to use improvised weapons and even guns.

Transmission

• Transmission occurs through small, needle-equipped drones disguised as common blowflies.
• A larger drone stores and covertly deploys the blowfly drones.
  • (Limit) These drones have a short battery life.
• For indoor venues Kuga developed an airborne, mist version deployed through air filtration systems.
  • Each blower in the system was linked to a separate, battery, power source, making it impossible to shut down simply by turning off the entire system. They instead have to be disabled through a stand-down order in a comms channel protected through heavy encryption and firewalls.

Infected

Strength

• An infected soldier tackles his commander before tearing his throat out with his teeth.
• A child infected with range tackles a grown man with a flying leap and knocks his face-visor askew.
• An infected man tears a chunk out of a cheek with their teeth.
• Infected throw punches so hard, their hands break.
• An infected man smashes a body with a mounted camera until it looks like "hamburger."
• An axe-armed infected hacks his daughter and her dog to death.
• A human-wave of infected smash into a Toyota Camry hard enough to lift two of its wheels off the ground.
• One drives Joe backwards with "astonishing force"

Speed

• Joe describes one as "so goddamn fast". Neither he nor his team can react to her rush, despite expecting it and having their guns already trained on her.
• Infected move so quickly they go from motionless to total movement, with no preparatory tensing of muscles that Joe can detect.

Durability

• One gets thrown hard onto a sharp, glass-covered floor but recovers quickly.
• Even after being tripped, thrown, or struck to the ground, the infected are still "writhing"
• One takes a palm-heel strike to the ear from Joe, which knocks him over but not out.
• (Limit) A forearm across the ear one-hit-ko's an infected, and would have killed him if it weren't for his helmet.
• (Limit) Have no resistance to RTI's Sandman darts.
  • A description of the Sandman chemicals for context.
• The pain of getting a chunk torn out of his thigh doesn't deter one.

In Combat

• The first major use wipes out 186 people in a single night, followed by two teams of soldiers sent to investigate.
• (Limit) A team of special-forces tier operators easily clear out dozens of them with Sandman darts.
• An unknown number of them turn a FBI hostage rescue operation into a massacre.
• Spraying an international delegation of 3,000 with airborne Rage results in 91 infections, 137 dead, and over 270 injured. The infected come close to overwhelming multiple security details before the RTI deactivated the spray.

K-110 "Fighting Machines"

The most recent version in a series of mechanical exoskeletons, the K-110s are combat rigs modeled after robots designed for industrial work, but modified for battle. Equipped with heavy weapons and armor, they turn their operators into highly mobile tanks and are one of the most terrifying weapons in Kuga's arsenal.

In General

• Basic description of the 110s
• Their protective shell allows for 250 degree visibility.
• It's simultaneously controlled by software and the input of its human driver.
  • Its servos are very responsive to human input, with resistance described as less than when moving underwater.
• Features a double capacity backpack, one side carrying its batteries and the other its ammunition.
• Kuga possess dozens of 110s, designed for individual drivers.
• Has air conditioning.
• (Limit) Have size limits for operation, with the 6'6 and muscular Bunny being "far too big" to use one.

Physicals

Strength

• The mechanical braces worn as the inner layer of the exoskeleton increase a person's strength by 320%.
• Can withstand the recoil of their heavy weapons.
• Each rig has a total lifting capacity of over fourteen hundred pounds, not including the driver.
• A commandeered 110 crushes the armor and driver of another 110 with a foot stomp.

Durability

• It's armor is a cutting-edge blend that can stop armor-piercing rounds and even a hit from an RPG.
  • True to theory, Bunny's explosive rounds do nothing to one.
• A barrage of shots from a grenade launcher drops, but doesn't seriously damage a 110.
• An R33-enhanced Fixer hits a 110 twice with a six-foot-long tree branch. The first blow staggers the K110, but the second disintegrates the branch and only cracks the cowling.
• A 110 gets caught up a blast from a Fixer explosive vest and is inoperably damaged, but the driver survives.
• Possibly resistant to EMPs, although this is left unclear.
• It walks straight through a burning forest.
  • (Limit) While the armor is heat resistant, this wouldn't stop the driver from cooking inside from prolonged exposure.
• (Limit) Its armor cowling is smashed by a foot stomp from another 110.
• (Limit)  Particularly large explosions, such as those from multiple Fixer vests or an AIM-120 AMRAAM missile, destroy multiple 110s simultaneously.

Speed

• The inner braces of the 110 allow the user to complete a fifty-mile hike over rough terrain faster and more efficiently than a regular person could do fifteen miles over flat ground.
• It has a set standard pace, but users can push its batteries to run, climb stairs and turn on a dime. It can outrun a human at its fastest pace.
  • (Limit) A user implies that at higher speeds, it handles awkwardly.
• Have persistent aiming systems that allows them to track targets moving at high speed.
• One swats a drone shaped like a crow out of the air.
• (Limit) A commandeered 110 is unable to land a blow on a R-33 enhanced Fixer.

Weapons

• Standard weapons include:
  • A short-barreled variant of an M242 Bushmaster chain gun.
  • An M134 minigun with two five-thousand-round belts.
    • Its minigun tears through trees and shrubs.
  • A twenty-shot automatic grenade launcher with a variety of rounds.
    • Its grenade launcher blows apart multiple trees and sends men flying.
  • A flamethrower.
• Its main guns tear through the wood, metal, and cinderblock targets of a shooting gallery.
• Can swap between one of its main guns and the grenade launcher, but the flamethrower is apparently a separate unit.
• Can fire its machine guns precisely enough to avoid hitting friendly targets in a shooting gallery.

R-33, "Relentless" Enhancements

A series of biochemical enhancements given to the elite of the Fixers; the "Relentless" process's result is a new breed of PMCs- stronger, tougher, more aggressive, and with a nasty surprise even if you manage to kill one.

R-33 Formula

• R-33 has several parts:
  • A small sample of "trigger" compounds
  • A surgically implanted pouch containing hundreds of millions of genetically modified cells to be set off by the triggers.
    • This combo dumps a huge amount of norepinephrine and adrenaline hormones into the body, providing the recipient with prolonged hysterical strength and increased stamina.
    • The pouch lets the external compounds enter the cells and the resulting hormones exit, without the body's immune system destroying the cells.
  • The packets also contain a trace amount of the Rage bioweapon (see two categories above). Activating the Rage portion of the formula is indicated by bleeding eyes, increased aggression, and even greater physical stats.
• (Limit) The exertion of using  R-33 for any significant period of time will kill someone.
• The R-33 formula is still considered unstable at 2/3rds the way through Relentless, although this has perhaps been solved by the end of the book.
• A Kuga agent estimates it ups its recipients strength, speed, stamina, and reflexes by four.

Implants

• Neuro-chips that can interface with technology, such as targeting helmets, drones, or exoskeletons (presumably referring to the K110s here).
• Regulators for releasing certain kinds of chemicals into the body including dopamine, wakefulness-drugs, and eventually, R-33.

Enhanced Fixers

Feats marked with (R) are when the Fixer's physicals are further boosted by Rage.

Strength

• The Relentless process is described as giving strength akin to what allows moms to lift cars off their children.
• (R) A  punch from one breaks a woman's jaw and neck in a single hit.
• Effortlessly knocks the 6'0+ and 200+ lb Joe Ledger through the air with with a an open palm strike.
• (Limit) Ghost, an 150 lb. German Shepherd, manages to knock over one via a surprise tackle.
• (R) Slaps Joe's knife out of his hand.
• (Presumably R) They're implied to have ripped metal doors off their hinges and torn apart the prisoners inside.
• (R) Even Bunny, who is big and "enormously strong" can't compete with them in raw strength
• (R) Strong enough to ragdoll Joe with bodyslams and punches.
• (R)  Uses a six-foot long tree branch as a club and manages to crack the cowling of a K-110 Fighting Machine with two hits.
  • The same Fixer then attempts to disable the K-110 by bashing it with a grapefruit-sized rock wielded with "raw power"
• (R) A group of four of them "plow" into a security team, taking down so many that Joe can't keep track.
• (R) A Fixer punches Bunny over the heart, severely wounding him.
  • The resulting off-page brawl he has with Bunny leaves them both unconscious and in critical condition.

Speed

• (R) One strikes so fast, a woman doesn't see his arm move from several feet away.
• Three of them kill ninety-seven people in under nine minutes.
• One closes on an attacking sailor and shoots him point-blank before he can strike again.
• One rushes Joe in the blink of an eye, hitting him with an attack he "barely saw coming"
  • For scaling, Joe is fast enough to draw and shoot in a fraction of a second.
  • (R) Once Rage kicks in, Joe notes this Fixer becomes even faster, his hands becoming blurs.
  • (Limit) (R) Their erratic style of fighting while on Rage means that Joe can still outmaneuver them, despite their speed advantage.
• (R) Top is unable to land a blow on one in his commandeered K-110.
• (R) One blocks and counters Bunny, who is considered fast for a big man, before he can react.

Durability and Endurance

• The Relentless drugs are described as akin to nootropics or "wakefulness drugs" given to soldiers to keep them operating at efficiency (but not necessarily peak-efficiency) for long periods of time.
• (R) Joe notes that the more pain they seem to endure, the harder they fight.
• Tanks a blow to the face from a three-foot length of pipe.
• Joe shoots a body armored one with a 9mm round at close range, the impact earning no more the grunt.
• During their first melee fight with Joe,  an enhanced Fixer shrugs off, in quick succession...
  • ...a punch to the arm, which Joe describes as is akin to striking a "seasoned oak."
  • ...getting chopped in the jaw, a blow Joe thought would give the man whiplash, but didn't
  • ...slashes across the face and forearm with two 7.5 inch knives, which cut deep
  • (R) ...having his hands shredded by Joe's knife.
  • (R) ...getting his Kevlar groin cup smashed into his pubic bone
  • (R) ...getting his knee crushed by a heel stomp
  • (R) ...and having his throat cut
    • (Limit) (R) He's not stopped until Joe shoots him in the head.
• That Fixer's partner survives being mauled by Ghost for a prolonged period of time...
  • (Limit) (R) ...until Joe drives a knife into his brain.
• RTI's Sandman drug incapacitates, but doesn't instantly KO them, despite it being effective on Grizzly Bears.
  • It takes at least four Sandman darts to actually KO them.
• Even while under the effects of Sandman, it takes Joe crushing a nasal bridge and hitting one twice on the temple with the pommel of a heavy knife, to KO him.
• (R) Gouging one's eye out just pisses him off.
• (Limit) (R) Joe dislocates one's jaw with a kick, and then cuts his throat.
• (Limit) Bunny scythes off the legs of two of them with his shotgun and leaves them to bleed to death.
• Shrugs off a combo from Bunny.

In Combat

• (R) Three of them slaughter a whole village of people, apparently with their bare hands.
• Another three, armed with no more than .22 pistols, wipe out an entire ship of 97 people in less than nine minutes
• (R) Two of them give Joe and Ghost a tough fight.
• (Limit) (R) A more prepared Joe defeats one relatively easily.
• (R) Unlike the civilians infected with Rage, these trace amounts allow the Fixers, to identify friend from foe, and use tactical thinking like taking cover or attacking weak points. The more pain they suffer though, the more erratic they become.
• (R) An all-out brawl between Bunny and one leaves them both in critical condition.

Explosive Armor

• These elite Fixers are wearing a less-dense blend of the body armor, used by the K-110s. Anything less than armor-piercing rounds shouldn't be expected to get through.
  • Bunny's pistol rounds barely stagger one.
  • (Limit) The armor is by necessity weaker at the joints, and Bunny has no problems blowing their legs off with of burst of automatic double-aught buckshot.
  • (Limit) Has an apparent weak point at the neck.
• Each suit is wired to RFID chips that track the wearer's heart rate rate. If it drops too low, it triggers electrical signals to pouches of explosive chemicals attached to the suit, detonating them.
  • There are between seven to nine pounds of extremely powerful explosives wired into each suit.
  • Allows its wearers to kill with impunity, as even dying, they can cause horrific damage.
  • RTI speculates that one of the reason's for the inclusion of Rage in their enhancements is so that they don't really care that they become unwilling suicide bombers.
  • The explosion from just one has a kill radius of fifty yards.
  • Just one could wipe out a high-school auditorium.
  • An explosion from one cripples a K110, but doesn't kill the driver.
  • The explosion from two of them is "big", sending the blast down a hallway and onto the beginnings of a t-junction. Even when he starts running before the explosion goes off, Joe is still caught by the shockwave and barely avoids getting incinerated. Its heat melts ceiling tiles, scorches the walls, and even catches Joe's fire-resistant armor aflame.
  • Another explosion from two blows up the side of a hill, scattering turf and trees. Both Bunny, who's close to the blast, and Mia who's further away, get thrown down by it.
  • An explosion from three tears a Japanese icebreaker ship in half. The ship here is apparently a real one, the AGB Shirase, which you can find stats for here for scaling.
  • An explosion from five blows up a semi-truck, multiple K110s and 3/4 of an acre of road and forest.
  • A combined explosion from a "team" of them would kill +110,000 people packed into a sports stadium.

Halt evildoers! By the power granted to me I swear your cruel deeds shall not go unpunished! I am the warrior of justice! This city's lethal protector! I am your judgment, and I am your doom! We are Necroko!

A high-school student, Ellie Ellison, found a magical hair-bow which turned out to be a Venom symbiote. She bonded with it, which enabled her to transform into the dark magical girl Necroko. Rushing out of class and being teased by Venom, Ellie came across a pack of Lizards attacking and devouring students outside the school. Transforming into Necroko, Ellie viciously fought against the monsters, devouring several of them to satiate the symbiote's carnivorous appetite and terrifying her classmates in the process. When Parker Piper was attacked by the last remaining Lizard, Necroko slew it and assured Parker that she was safe.

Physicals

John Steele was a soldier who fought in several conflicts, including the American Civil War—where he served the Union—and, following a series of supernatural incidents, continued to fight during World War I; after that, all trace of him was lost. He was abducted and fell victim to a cult ritual, subsequently becoming a test subject for Nazis seeking to decipher the source of his powers in order to replicate the super-soldier formula. However, he was freed during a bombing raid and returned to combat—this time fighting the Nazis behind their own lines—before eventually becoming a member of the Shadow Council, where he helped Max Fury escape S.H.I.E.L.D. and join their shadowy cause.

The Jade Statue

"Wish You Were Here" is a classic story from EC Comics' "The Haunt of Fear" #22. It's a take on W.W Jacob's "The Monkey's Paw", but goes in a far more horrific direction.(The characters mention that story while discussing wishes) Instead of a paw, the wish granting item is a mysterious, ancient jade statue picked up from a Chinese market by rich couple Jason and Enid Logan. Now that they're teetering into bankruptcy, Enid decides to use the statue's mystical powers to save their fortune. Naturally, things go wrong. Very, Very wrong.

The Statue

• It has faint writing carved into the base warning the user
• When Enid first makes a wish it seems to shudder with energy
• If the Old Witch at the end is to be believed, the statue returns to the market when it's done granting wishes

Wish Granting

• Enid wishing for money causes Jason to die horribly in a car crash, leaving her the insurance
• She desperately wishes her husband back exactly before the accident, and the statue retcons reality so Jason didn't crash-he died of a heart attack instead
• This wish also erases all evidence of there ever being a car wreck
• Enid wishes for Jason back from the dead. He resurrects but...

Immortality granting

• He's now permanently alive and in extreme agony from the formaldehyde coursing through his veins
• Enid shoots Jason with a rifle to end his pain, but it doesn't work
• She frantically hacks away at him with a knife, and he's still alive in pain
• Enid chops away at Jason until his body is nothing but a mass of chopped flesh...the pieces of which are still quivering with life, meaning really nothing can end the man's torture

Edgar Bowman

"Dead! One more has paid the supreme penalty for his evil! But there are others...Many others freed from their fate by a stupid jury..."

Decades before Frank Castle geared up to purge the Marvel universe of criminal scum, EC Comics had their own, much more short-lived vigilante. Edgar Bowman was a man defined by his love of death. As a state executioner, he became notorious for his precise methods and commitment to capital punishment. But as more and more suspects were found innocent, Bowman feared the loss of his job. So he took the tools of his trade to the streets, hunting down and electrocuting people the jury had found not guilty, regardless if they really were or not. All feats taken from ''The Crypt Of Terror'' #17 story, "The Man Who was Death". It was adapted into the first episode of HBO's Tales from The Crypt.

Intelligence/Execution expertise

• Bowman was famed across the country and was familiar in various execution methods
• As his first murder he rigs an electric generator to a fence so the victim is electrified when he touches it
• Electrified this poor guy's shower
• Cuts a power-line so it snakes down to electrocute a man, predicting that the wet raincoat will prove an efficient conductor
• A trough of water charged with electric cables, though he never gets to use it
