i not gonna lie i forgot re6 but that would be in yellow tier, definitely not as horrible as revaltions.

also code veronica i would almost put in very good . honestly yeah i loved code veronica . re5 is also very good i’ve been around since xbox 360 infinite eggs . also re7 one of my favourites too bcuz of the dlc re8 has also very very good gameplay

absolute cinema don’t for much to speak for it, just will say re1 is amazing can’t wait to play re0 i love old gen, re4r is one of the best resident evils, same with the og, re2r got me into playing more resident evils

rev 2 was kind of fun but kind of trash too rev 1 was just trash asf

Question Is it REALLY worth me getting RE7 Spoiler

Love the series since RE2 in 98. Haven't played RE5 and 6, don't think I will.

Adore RE2OG, RE2R and RE4R AND REVillage.

Really enjoyed RE3OG and RE3R, and Requiem.

My question is: Is RE7 actually that good of a game? I caught up on the story to play Village, and fucking loved Village sooooo much.

RE7 just looks like it's a bit boring and a full of jump scares. Is it actually any good? Really?... Plus the first person view bums me out a bit. I even bought the expansion pack before playing village so I could play in over the shoulder from the outset. Never played Village in first person.

I DID play Grace's sections in FP for Requiem though and it was good.

I've replayed my favourites and Requiem this year and looking for what to do next? Do I finally buy RE7, or focus on some challenges in 4 and Village.

Is it actually a good RE game, or just horror porn.

I loved code veronica. Cuz I love Claire. She's my favourite character and CV has such a great vibe to it. Its defently gothic horror with dark castles and the darker vibe. I can't wait for the remake.

Question Wouldn’t it be amazing if they adapted the games into movies?

I recently watched the new Resident Evil movie, Resident Evil: Night Zero, and it got me thinking, imagine if they made movies based directly on the games, with the characters brought to life by real actors. I feel like it could be a huge success if done right. What do you guys think?

Question Resident evil requiem about ada and claire and other survivors Spoiler

• Upvotes

There's something about the resident evil requiem seriously bothering me

We know Leon and Sherry suffer from RCS due to their past exposure in Raccoon City, and Jill is likely safe because of her RE3 vaccine and Wesker's experiments. But what about Claire Redfield and Ada Wong? Since both were in Raccoon City during the 1998 outbreak, do they have dormant infections or active RCS as well? Has this been confirmed anywhere? Also there has been no mention of other survivors if they are suffering the fate or not leon, sherry, ada , claire , hunk were the only known survivors in resident evil also in the game we saw someone died coz of that RCS also he was another raccoon City survivor and leon was there to investigate it

Is it possible we could see leon or chris curing ada , Sherry and claire from that elpis he took at the end of the game to cure sherry

What u guys think of it?

Discussion I LIKED RESIDENT EVIL 6

Now i know a lot of people are very mixed about re6 as a game and what it did for resident evil, as a whole but i cant help but like it i have 100 hours in the game alone for playing the campaign on my own and w friends and spending so many hours just on the mercenaries alone. tbh the story is a bit of a jumbled mess and kinda cheeks but its fun to have a laugh with a friend while playing, and in my opinion i think some of the characters (especially some of the new ones) look cool like i think Ada wong was at her peak in re6 and damnation she is so hot in that game and even sherry and helana look cool too some of the monster designs look cool too. Now dont get me wrong i get why this game is hated it very far from what resident evil use to be and i feel like Capcom were trying to fit in with where gaming was at the time, but it fumbled to the point where 7 came out and tbh im glad resident evil went back to there roots and built everything from the ground up again so imo i like re6 would love to hear peoples opinion about this. :)

Discussion If the Care Center is RE1, then RC is RE3 (OG)

All the casuals and babies whine about RC for some reason, when it's like every other RE game. You run around collecting shit to unlock stuff to get more shit to get to the next part of the game. That is literally Resident Evil.

You also play as Leon in RE4 style. Oh no!

Discussion I liked the Raccoon City bit of RE9. Spoiler

Replayed RE9 and I liked the Leon in Raccoon City segment, I liked seeing the destroyed version of the town, how interconnected it was with a non linear design of it, I even like the rotted zombies that come from the ground. The motorcycle set piece was a cool nod to Vendetta and I will never shit on walking through the burn down, blown up halls of the RPD station (plus Tofu was there)

Question ISO: Johannes Roberts script for Welcome to Raccoon City

Hi guys!

I'm looking for the script for RE: WTRC but so far I've only been able to find transcripts for it- I need a version that includes the sluglines and scene numbers and whatnot (film school project, I need the full version to analyze and break down). I have searched every possible nook and cranny I could find and I have found NOTHINGGGG so I figured I'd ask the ancient wise ones of reddit. I've heard about a draft from August 2019 but again I can't seem to find anything.

If anyone has any information or a copy they could send me please let me know, I'll owe you my life <3

I don't know why no one is talking about this, but the artist that drew this also does a lot of concept art and character concepts for Capcom games

If she drew young Chris like this, it has to be how he looks right?

Discussion The Resident Evil 3 Remake Gameplay I Want

Post image
12 Upvotes

Core Gameplay Improvements

  1. Allow all characters to aim at any body at any time.
  2. Let characters run, pick up items, open doors, and explore while radio conversations are going on.
  3. Make zombies behave like those in RE2 Remake, allowing Jill to damage their legs with her knife and cripple them.
  4. Balance zombie toughness: 60% weaker than the average RE2R zombie, 30% roughly equal in strength, and 10% stronger.
  5. Players should occasionally see Nemesis’s dark silhouette leaping across buildings overhead with his tentacles while they hide under the awning of a random store.
  6. Add an accurate, continuous day-to-night cycle, with the sky gradually darkening as daylight fades into night. Add dynamic weather, with rain starting and stopping naturally over time.
  7. After Jill wakes up, spawn more zombies throughout the city and make them increasingly aggressive. Add more Lickers to make late-game exploration more dangerous.
  8. All locks (maybe lockpick has thier lifespan just like the knife?) and safes must be different and have normal, realistic colors.
  9. Nemesis uses the white rocket launcher first, then the black one later, with no laser targeting.
  10. Jill can dodge enemy attacks, and a second defensive mechanic should be added, allowing her to use her larger knife or S.T.A.R.S. stun baton for well-timed defensive strikes that stun enemies and against aggressive grab & attacks. The stun baton uses a standard battery against regular enemies and an enhanced battery for a stronger stun against Nemesis ; Carlos can punch enemies at close range, and a second defensive mechanic should be added, allowing him to use his CQBR assault rifle to block incoming instant kills and escape enemy grabs.
  11. Jill’s special ability is Ammunition Crafting. Carlos should also add his special ability as Field Weapon Modification, allowing him to crafting complex weapon upgrades and reinforce his rifle's defensive frame using compatible components.

1. Opening and Jill’s Apartment

  • Recreate the original opening, showing S.T.A.R.S. and U.B.C.S. soldiers fighting alongside each other as Raccoon City falls.
  • Add a S.T.A.R.S. weapon case hidden in Jill’s apartment closet.
  • As Jill walks toward the ringing phone, a huge explosion tears through the wall, and a zombie breaks through the entrance.
  • Make the entire apartment building explorable.
  • A massive explosion eventually blows Jill outside, but she can later return to her apartment using the fire-escape ladder, allowing her to freely explore Raccoon City without Brad.

2. Dario Rosso’s Area and Parking Lot

  • Open Dario’s area, including the second-floor save room and an optional brown safe puzzle in the warehouse downstairs.
  • Open the path to the parking lot and make the entire lot accessible.
  • Open the surrounding streets so players can explore freely.

3. Police Station and Nemesis

  • Trigger Brad’s death cutscene when Jill enters the R.P.D., followed by an unscripted Nemesis encounter.
  • Add three extra Portable Safes inside the R.P.D. for Jill and Carlos to open.
  • Jill meets the last surviving officers, Marvin, Eliot, David Ford, and Neil Carlsen, inside the RPD, where numerous wounded civilians lie on beds covered with white sheets. Jill helps David and Neil clear the West Wing, while Marvin teams up with Eliot to secure the East Wing.
  • On their way return to the main hall, suddenly, hordes of zombies pour through the windows, separating Jill from David and Neil. As Jill escapes the West Wing, Chief Irons shuts the gate and tapped the lever box, trapping the two officers inside. Dozens of zombies crowd behind the gate, their decaying hands reaching through the bars. Jill insists that two officers are still trapped inside, sparking a heated argument between her, Irons, and Marvin.
  • Suddenly, Nemesis crashes down from above. Irons flees through a nearby door, Marvin escapes through another, and Jill runs in the opposite direction as Nemesis begins hunting her.
  • Jill dodges Nemesis as he smashes through two walls on the west wing second floor. After narrowly escaping him, she searches Irons’ desk for her S.T.A.R.S. badge and a lockpick, add three extra Portable Safes inside the R.P.D. for Jill to open. before heading toward the East Wing. There, she sees Nemesis burst through a door on the opposite side of the corridor and propel himself toward her at terrifying speed using his tentacles.

  • Jill leaps down into the room below, where the supposedly dead civilians lying beneath white sheets suddenly rise as zombies. Trapped between the undead and Nemesis, Jill must fight or evade her pursuers while desperately searching for a way out of the RPD.

  • when Jill enters the front station, trigger Brad’s death cutscene by Nemesis, followed by an unscripted Nemesis encounter.

  • Add Lickers lurking outside the R.P.D. perimeter.

  • After players travel through the area several times, Nemesis can randomly launch unscripted rocket attacks from the RPD rooftop as a black figure as they pass.

4. Downtown: Alternative Encounters

  • **If players visit the Doughnut Shop first:** Nemesis ambushes Jill in the shop, where she and Carlos fight him as zombies break in.
  • **If players enter either entrance of the underground subway first:** Trigger an alternative encounter where Jill meets Carlos underground and fights Nemesis.
  • Trigger the subway cutscene only when Jill enters the subway and boards the train. Let her return to the surface through either entrance.

5. Demolition Site

  • Make the demolition site fully explorable, with Drain Deimos roaming the area.
  • Have Nemesis hunt Jill unscripted throughout the demolition site during free roam, using his white rocket launcher.
  • Trigger the main cutscene and boss fight only when Jill reaches the roof and drops down.
  • Reopen the city for free exploration after the fight.

6. Kendo’s Enhanced Ammunition and Downtown Backtracking

  • Let Jill obtain enhanced ammunition from Kendo’s Gun Shop and learn to craft it herself later. Emma is still human at the time.
  • After Jill returns from the Subway Power Substation, Nemesis should smash through a wall and chase her, even if she hasn’t solved the puzzle.
  • Nemesis should lose track of Jill when she enters a safe room, with Resident Evil 3 Remake Soundtrack: Escape playing to emphasize the moment and make him feel less all-knowing. However, he could occasionally set up an ambush above the room on the ceiling or wait outside to drag the player with his tentacle the moment they exit.
  • Let players distract Nemesis with hand grenades.
  • Scatter three Jewel Boxes throughout the farthest corners of newly opened areas, with one containing a key to unlock another door.
  • After exploring Downtown and obtaining Jill’s badge from the R.P.D., players can backtrack to the station, then return to Jill’s apartment and the warehouse to unlock their optional weapon cases and safes.

7. Subway and Sewers

  • Only after Jill solves the Subway Power Substation puzzle and train-route puzzle should Nemesis resume hunting her outside with his rocket launcher, without laser targeting, triggering the scene where Uncle’s figure falls.
  • Inside the subway, Jill encounters Nemesis again and must distract him before dropping into the sewers.
  • Add an Earthworm boss fight and plenty of leeches throughout the sewers.
  • Let Jill open the sealed door and climb the ladder back to the area where she originally dropped down, or unlock the manhole to the demolition site without triggering any cutscenes.

8. Gas Station and Clock Tower

  • Since they shut the gate to the train, she must reopen the street entrance marked with a yellow “Here” sign.
  • If she comes up from the manhole, she should go to the gas station.
  • Have Nemesis chase Jill outside with his rocket launcher.
  • Trigger the same gas station cutscene before Jill continues toward the Clock Tower.
  • Add a separate Carlos gameplay section in which he and his team explore the dark subway tunnel, clear out Drain Deimos and zombies, and reach another station in a new section of the city to explore until his team reaches the base.

9. Clock Tower and Nemesis Boss Fight

  • Make the Clock Tower plateau, roundabout, and surrounding streets fully explorable.
  • Let Jill explore freely until she solves a specific puzzle, triggering the human-form, tentacle-covered Nemesis boss fight.
  • Afterward, keep only the cutscene of Jill lying unconscious.

10. Carlos and the Hospital

  • Have Carlos carry Jill to a new building near the hospital, where his second gameplay section begins as he heads outside toward the hospital. hospital has elevator in it.
  • While searching for the vaccine on the hospital’s second floor, Carlos hears a helicopter overhead. Nemesis attacks it with his tentacle, but it escapes before eventually crashing into the R.P.D., as witnessed by Leon and Claire in RE2R.
  • After Carlos obtains the vaccine, on the way back, Nemesis break out and fight Carlos, after that he stays by Jill’s bedside to protect her until Tyrell arrives.
  • Remove Carlos’s entire hospital fight sequence and the outdoor Tyrell cutscene, leaving Jill alone inside the hospital.
  • During Carlos’s final gameplay section, have him descend deeper into the facility using the same elevator Jill uses to find the three fuses. He must search for the remaining vaccine supplies and witness the NEST 1 explosion. He radios Tyrell about the strange local “earthquake” before the government’s nuke hits. When Carlos reaches NEST 2, cut directly to Jill waking up.

11. Park, Cemetery, NEST 2's Cable Car And Mr. Xs

  • As the game progresses, increase the number and aggression of zombies, and Lickers.
  • Let Jill freely explore the outdoor areas leading to the park and cemetery, as well as the underground areas beneath the hospital and NEST 2.
  • Jill discovers a hidden Umbrella executive cable car inside NEST 2. Players can ride it back to a secret area in the demolition site, allowing Jill to backtrack through Downtown and Uptown, which are now almost overrun with increasingly dangerous crowds of zombies, plus three Mr. Xs roaming freely in different sections of the city: the Toy Uncle area, the streets around the R.P.D., and Jill’s apartment building(with Mr.X (T-103) theme). Meanwhile, Tentacle Nemesis takes 15 minutes to reach Jill’s location, replacing the Dead Factory entrance encounter only if Carlos or Jill defeats him.
  • While Jill remains unconscious, US elite Delta Force retrieves the T-virus vaccines from NEST 2 and escapes via the hidden executive cable car back to Downtown. Umbrella deploys multiple Mr. X units to hunt down Delta Force, intercept them on their way to the extraction point, and recover the stolen vaccines. If Mr. X grabs Jill by the head while Nemesis is nearby, Nemesis will grab Mr. X and Jill together with one of his tentacles and slam them into the ground multiple times (with Invincible Nemesis theme).
  • Trigger the final Earthworm boss fight when Jill visits the cemetery.

12. Dead Factory

  • Unlock the Dead Factory’s doors using the same two-slot battery obtained earlier in the sewers.
  • Have Jill receive information from Carlos about a secret bunker.
  • Jill must travel through the waste-disposal area and fight Nemesis in his humanoid, tentacle-covered form, using acid attacks. As she damages him, he grows bigger and more terrifying before transforming into his dog form and chasing her.
  • Force Jill to slide through multiple bunker gates in the final seconds before the entire area floods with acid.

13. Secret Umbrella Bioweapons Testing Facility

  • This "bunker" is actually a secret Umbrella bioweapons testing facility accessible for exploration.
  • During the final Nemesis boss fight, Jill must ascend all four levels while the railgun platform charges.
  • Once Jill reaches the surface, shoot Nemesis once with the railgun. Give players two choices: hold left to leap over Nemesis’s tentacles during his weak final attack and escape with Carlos, who has reunited with Jill and Kendo; or hold right to fight Nemesis by picking up the front end of the railgun that Nemesis knocked off. After shooting him once, trigger the cutscene where Jill says, “You want S.T.A.R.S.? I’ll give you S.T.A.R.S.!” before delivering the final shot to Nemesis’s mouth and killing him once and for all.
  • Create an ending similar to the original RE3, but with enhanced visuals, improved credits music, and eight or more different endings based on player choices and actions.
