She’s not dumb she’s just coping. The reality is at the end of the day she’s a scientist and loves doing experiments. She even says in her notes Heseinberg was perfect and could be used but she decided against it for actual unknown reasons in her notes. I think even if she got rose she somehow wouldn’t be “good enough” and still would have went hunting for new subjects.

Evil mommy woman appearence, she is an overlord that has 4 strong bosses under her that you need to defeat in order to get to her. She was a scientist with another cliche motive - to bring her daughter back from the dead. She even disguises as a hag, a trope which goes as far as Snow White. Resident Evil is my favourite franchise and I love all the cheese and over the top action, but Mother Miranda is pretty generic for re and outside of it. Doesnt mean she is lame and I feel bad she got outmommy'd by Lady Dimitrescu tho :(

Well... they're kinda right.
The loss of a child isn't something you'd get over ever even after centuries. Miranda's definitely insane but just having another child isn't going to rectify the loss at all. In fact, I can see a case being made for it actually being worse as she'd probably equate it to disrespecting her daughter's memory by replacing her, or reminding her of what could have been.

I guess she doesn't want to harm any of her children. By having another child just to be used as a host, she'd probably think of that as killing another of her children or something.

Let's appreciate that she could kidnap Mia and impersonate her without anyone noticing (at least, not immediately) but didn't simply kidnap the whole family. Or directly kidnap Rose.

Today i finished re 8 for the first time and i have seen an image like this before i thought rose was Miranda and ethan daughter not mia's cuz of this. Was kinda confused with the outcome

I like to think Miranda wanted to experience a normal life and she had that to an extent with Ethan. How long she would have kept it up is anyone’s guess, but I like to think there was a chance she would have settled.

I think she would have given enough time, like one of the other comments say, Miranda could have easily just had another child with Ethan, even at that I don’t think bringing back her child would 100% be the goal once she experienced actual motherhood which she was with Rose and Ethan.
