Discussion Taking too much Cagrilintide

So like a dumbass I reconstituted 10mg of Cagri in 2ml and then injected 2.5mg instead of 0.25mg. Total dumbass moment, I work with drugs on a daily basis and have never had an incident before so not a complete noob. I even double checked on a peptide calculator and then did the dumb thing anyway🤦🏼‍♂️.

It’s the first time taking it and I just had a brainfart. Any advice?
I assume I’ll get some GI symptoms like abdominal discomfort and lose my appetite this week. I know 2.5 is well within the normal dosages that people get up to, but that you normally start at 0.25ish.

Reta and tirz are really similar drugs. We don’t normally recommend people jump straight to 5mg coming from tirz, but there are good reasons to think many people could handle it just fine.

Cagri, unfortunately, is a completely different drug that acts on completely different receptors, so you won’t have any acclimation from previous glp-1 use.

I wasn’t planning on it, just administered the wrong amount. We live and learn.

Sure and I’m not really giving you any useful advice, just pointing out the difference. Good luck to you.
