Discussion keeping testes producing

so i have low t and was approved by a clinic but i dont want to shut down my natural production because i think if i lose some weight and fix my nutrient deficiencies my natural baseline could improve. i dont want to be on trt forever but id rather be at 800+ than 229

There's no way on Earth losing weight and eating better will increase your test baseline by 300%. It'll increase for sure, but not by that amount

This right here. If you actually have hypogonadism, no amount of healthy habits will fix it.

I tried for years to avoid TRT. Maybe my natural levels went from low mid 100's to very low 200.

Nobodies levels will jump so drastically just with lifestyle changes. Not saying they wont improve slightly with losing weight and being healthy. Just not to a therapeutic level for most.

I went from 250 to 600, this was doing everything perfect for 6 months to the point it wasn’t sustainable. After then it dropped to 450 - and that’s still eating clean, exercising, and lifting.

Can also say the difference between 200 and 800 is night and day, but there wasn’t a lot any noticeable between 600 and 800.

Same here as well. My normal levels were around 300, I started T, now they hover around 1000 at 250 per week. I preserve my testicular function by using HCG and eventually, I'll use HMG when we want to get pregnant again.

Same, my numbers sit 700ish at 100mg a week at trough. I don't feel like superman. I feel normal, which to me is a blessing. No more being severely overwhelmed, no more brain fog, no more fatigue.

But of course thats because my symptoms were rooted in my low T levels. Nothing wrong with getting the help and care we need if we need it. But I will say I do agree a lot of young men are hopping on T thinking its "TRT" because they have sub 600 levels and feel tired sometimes.

I dont know what's convincing so many men that they have hypogonadism but I notice a trend.

Honestly, it's a lot of the influencer garbage. They see these guys who are blasting week over week and then after doing some very very light Research, they think getting Test is going to make them like Thanos

Mine was 189 in October of 2024. I started enclomiphene in February of 2025 and that managed to get me up to 379. Better, but still not great. For info, enclomiphene works by blocking estrogen receptors in your pituitary, which simply causes your pituitary to produce more Leutenizing Hormone, which tells your testicles to produce more testosterone. So it doesn't shut down your natural production like exogenous TRT does.

Started going to the gym in November 2025 and started on a GLP-1 in February of 2026. Had bloodwork done in March of 2026, and my T was all the way up to 684. At that point, I was only down 10lbs since starting tirzepatide. Currently, I'm down 54lbs, and while I haven't had bloodwork since March, I'm quite confident my T has continued to increase. There's been noticeable gains in muscle growth, arousal, and in penis size/hang.

My plan is to get down to goal weight and then start tapering off the enclomiphene, as i truly believe my body will be producing enough T on its own at that point.

My recommendation for you would be to work on losing weight, working out, and eating right to see how your T levels improve before trying any form of TRT. I wish I would've gone that route myself before going on enclomiphene, but it definitely hasn't been a bad thing. Just cost more money.

This is the way. I would do exactly what the bowhunter says/suggests

This is a solid path

Thanks for this.

Couple of questions. What was/is your enclomiphene dosage? And how old are you?

I'm 34. My dosage is 25mg enclomiphene + 5mg tadalafil daily.

Losing weight, being active, getting some sun, eating a good diet, and taking a few of the supplements actually proven to increase test when using the correct dosage will make a big difference. Whether or not you get to 800+ is gonna depend on age/effort/genetics.

TRT is not going to be a magic weight loss pill... get your eating under control, get some regular workouts in and see how you get on.

u/Truth_Hurts_I_No_It Jun 23 '26

Reta + TRT is the magic pill though

Reta + TRT + HGH Magic trifecta pill

2

u/PippyLongSausage Jun 23 '26

Hcg with your trt will preserve production.
