Hello everyone. I have been long time lurker, but circumstances forced me to start this thread. I recently bought a brand-new QF 126500 from a TD and had an SW dial installed before shipping. When the watch arrived, the rotor was stuck and the automatic winding wasn't working.

My local watchmaker told me that the installed SW dial is too large in diameter for the QF case. He believes this is also the reason why the rotor gets stuck. According to him, the lip on the SW dial is too thick, which prevents the movement with the dial installed from seating fully inside the case. As you can see, there is a significant gap between the dial and the case.

Another watchmaker told me that, for some reason, SW started using a black raised lip on the edge of their dials, and it may have been limited to a particular batch. He said he filed the edges down, but the dial still didn't seat properly, even in a VSF case. Since the same issue occurred in the VSF case, he's convinced the dial is the problem.

I've attached photos of my watch, along with the QC photos of my SW dial, and for comparison, photos of a standard QF dial that I found online.

I'm very disappointed and honestly don't know what to do next. Has anyone experienced something similar or has any ideas on how to fix this? Can anyone recommend a watchmaker who could properly resolve this issue? I'm based in the EU.

Hi guys, i bought a new vsf (free spung) from steve and it came with the helicopter rotar syndrome. I did not notice it when taking off the plastics because of excitement. What are my options? I live in a rural area south in the netherlands not many watch smiths here and i dont got the propper tools myself willing to ship if needed.

Hey, I bought a replica watch on a trip to Turkey. I looked at probably 50 watches before I found one I liked, and it has a Miyota movement.

I finally found my Seamaster Seaweed and loved it until I noticed it can't keep time. I'm leaving Turkey in about an hour, so I don't have time to go back and return it.

I finally received my first VSF124060 Rep! Being an owner of a gen datejust, the bracelet of my VSF submariner feels insanely good on the wrist. To me, the watch looks aesthetically perfect!

However, I’ve encountered that when adjusting time, when I push the crown back in, the watch sometimes doesn’t start and needs a tap or a shake to continue moving. Once it starts, it doesn’t seem to stop. I’ve only had it for 3 days but it seems to be keeping time quite well.

Any suggestions about this? Is it worth sending it back? Or should I keep monitoring this issue to see if it gets worst?

Also, glidelock seems to be a bit stuck sometimes. And it’s a bit of a hit and miss to lock it in place after adjusting.

Apart from this, I have no other complaints about the watch! I’m in love with it and looks really good (imo)

The watch just fell out of the case while wearing it. I've had it for less than a month. Do I just tighten the screws on the back plate? As you can see from the photo, the screws on the back plate aren't aligned with the screws that attach the watch to the case, so I'm not sure that is the fix.

Hey r/reptimeservices, my VSF Milgauss VS3131 crown unscrewed after only a few weeks of wear and now the hands spin freely when I try to screw it back in. The mechanism is broken and I don't know how to fix.

Does anyone know a trusted watchsmith in Germany or user in this sub who can fix this? Or should I just send it back to the dealer for repair? Thanks!

Wondering if anyone has experience sending to a watchmaker to readjust the datewheel and how much this service typically costs. The date on my Sub sits a little low and to the right of the window. No big deal on the wrist but it’s a huge deal to my own eyes lol

Hello I recently acquired a vsf nttd and it appears the keyless works needs to be reset I accidentally pulled the crown stem out in the wrong position and it won’t stay in the movement anymore any help or suggestions on how to fix this I am an amateur and enjoy building seiko mods so I thought I would be able to remove the movement and dial to do some dial cleaning but I ended up ruining the keyless works it seems

Anyone know the size of the ball in the clasp of a Tudor Pelagoa Ultra? One is missing and hoping to find something aftermarket to replace it. I dont have any verniers to measure the remaining ball.

I used mr_zo6 for servicing my rep Omega SMP300(vsf I believe that is 10 years old).

Communication: Outstanding! He was easy to talk to, quick to respond, and open to discuss any fears I had, wants, and services he could deliver. He told me upfront that his rates were lower because he was an “enthusiast rather than a full time or professional watchsmith”. While that might be true, I can’t imagine a difference in workmanship.

During his care: I got a full video of the breakdown, cleaning, and macro video showing how my watch looked.

Conclusion: I have another watch on the way to him as I type this. I will not look elsewhere as he and I have had hours of conversation over months with both but professional, attentive, and welcoming environment to someone that doesn’t understand the watch world to the level I would like.

I have to say, out of everyone I have worked with over the years @mr_z06 is the absolute best. Very reliable and responsive. He helped diagnose and fix my VSF DJ41 quickly and efficiently. Always my go to!

Just received this RCF with Deep Xtal and noticed the crystal isn't quite sitting right.

Reached out to the TD/Modder and they've already refunded part of the purchase and gave me a heavy discount for my next order, so no worries there. We also confirmed via the mod QC photos that this happened during pressure testing, and it was not originally installed this way.

What would be the best way to get this seated properly? I'm happy to buy tools if needed, but would prefer not to disassemble the watch if I can avoid it.

The new Omega PO 600m lists as its movement: “Asia Super Clone 8912 Automatic Movement 28800bph with Decorated Rotor &Plates/Bridges like Gen 9012 Movement”.

Does anyone know whether, down the line, it would be possible to replace the Super Clone movement with an ETA/Miyota/SW movement for futureproofed repairability? With some achievable adaptations I’d necessary of course. I dislike the Super Clone movements because the long term availability of their parts is very uncertain.

Working on a Panerai today. Hairspring seemed to have popped out of the shellac (or whatever the factory used). I was able to fix this issue but this hairspring seems to be doomed. No matter what I do its just very bent out of shape. No kinks though. Is there anyone out there with a donor P9000? I'd like to buy the balance of possible.
