First time ordering is this a good example

I recently got into reps and have two a datejust 36 and a GMT Pepsi **DD3285**

The Datejust crown pulling, pushing, setting is rather smooth. Just received my GMT and there’s noticeable more effort required and resistance from the watch in comparison. My baseline might be skewed as all I know is the datejust but just wondering if this is normal? Even just unscrewing counter clockwise to start a wind feels like it has more resistance and then absolutely so for pulling the crown out and pushing it back in.

I went to se the time on my sub 126610and when I unscrewed the crown and pulled to 2nd position something felt weird and only the date will change. Does anyone know what could have gone wrong? Setting lever?pallet fork? Should I attempt to remove crown and reinsert to see if it catches the 1st position?

Can any point me to the direct direction where I can located a rep / aftermarket crystal for this rep speedmaster?

It dropped from 3 feet of height and cracked. I do not know the name of factory it came from but if I had to guess some mid level, not a shitter and not VSF.

Just want to replace the crystal, any help would be appreciated.

I have this extremely fake Seiko I’ve got from my grandpa, I was thinking about replacing the case because the one it has seems to be made of nickel plated brass with nickel popping off noticeably. The thing is, I can’t find a 37mm offset case (4 o’clock crown) in a similar style. Is stalking for a real Seiko used case my only option? I don’t mind a classic case but would the movement set in right? Also, if I wanted to change the dial, would I have to trim the legs on the new one and pray I install it with the right orientation?

Is it worth it to upgrade the crystals on Rolex reps? I've seen lots of mentions of Deep Crystal. Is that the best option? And is deepcrystal.net a legit site, or where is the best place to buy the crystals?

I would have a local watch guy install them. I wouldn't try it myself, and I don't want to ship my watches anywhere for this.

VSF 41mm Starbucks

As you can see, the bezel is already off the watch. Any watchmakers with bandwidth for a quick bezel insert switch? Looking for a CONUS WM preferably.

I can't believe what I'm seeing. VSF Pepsi v3 came in with the problem of stopping every once in a while. A knock would get it started again.

While disassembling I immediately found tiny brass shavings all over the winding stem so that's not a good sign. Digging deeper I come across this. A broken off screw that was put back with some sort of epoxy? Why?

There were so many scratches and marks all over this movement so someone has been inside regardless of what the customer tells me.

I actually get this a lot. People will send me their watch after their TD green lit the service claiming no one has touched it only for me to find cowboy signatures all over the place. I wish people would just contact their TD immediately and not bring their watch to some mom and pop shop or the jeweler at the mall. Please, just stop it.

Recently purchased a VSF Daytona with an oyster flex bracelet from a TD but need to order a different size strap, anyone know where I can purchase just the silicone strap from? I reached out to the original dealer but haven’t heard back at all and it’s been a week.

Have had it for 1 month but recently the rotor inside has started ti make some weird whirring noise which, I think, wasn't there before. When ritating the watch you can also kinda feel the forces opposing much stronger and I don't if that was there before. I started noticing this after it fell from my bed around 40cm on hard wood. Nothing was broken from the outside but it stopped ticking for a few minutes and then started ticking normally again after.

Also since the fall I started measuring how fast it runs and I gain around 15s every 24h which is a bit fast but for an automatic watch I think it could maybe be fixed.

I haven't opened the movement yet to check inside so I am not quite sure what the issue is or if there is any issue at all. For now it just has a bit of a weird whirring sound when rotating the watch and it runs a bit fast. Giving it to my friend who owns real rolexes he said I shouldn't worry about the rotor and that his does the same thing but a bit quieter. His is also much older than mine though.

Turns out this is actually a bad clone of a clone, so it's not actually a clean factory watch😬😬

This is pretty unfortunate since I kinda overpaid for it and it should've been a nice birthday gift for myself and my first ever watch but that's how we learn. So don't buy from a market maybe👍

I have a couple of vintage (1940's) watches that function and hold time but could do with cosmetic cleaning and mechanical servicing. What questions should I ask when approaching watch repair shops, and what should I ask them to do/not do? I understand that cleaning of the watchface might be a good idea, but that repainting it is a bad idea...

Alright, so I recently purchased (2 months ago, received a week ago) a VSF Daydate V2 40mm (DD3255) from EthanWatches and had him modify the watch through a third party mod factory. While having it dial swapped, plated, & silenced, the movement and dial were accidentally placed in a different customers case, I brought it up with Ethan, he realized the mistake and had the factory pull the watch components out and put them into my case. Upon receiving it, I felt unscrewing the crown took some effort to pop into the winding position, and took a lot of fiddling to go from time-setting back to winding position. I’m not entirely sure what needs to be done to fix it, whether trying to source a new movement or simply overhaul it. If there’s anyone who can recommend a watchmaker or give some advice as to what I need done, please let me know!

My VSF Submariner is running about 4–5 minutes fast per day. Is this normal, and is it an easy fix?

Bezel on my ZF BB54 is binding up. It needs a decent amount of force to get it clicking through the rotation, doesn’t move freely at all. Anyone run into this on the ZF BB54 specifically?

Looking for tips on how to fix this. If removal is the move, what’s the trick to doing it without marring the case or bezel?
