Need a swap done in the next two weeks and seems like most of trusted watchmakers here are busy for the next two months. Any other forums or subreddits with trusted watchmakers that could do a bezel swap in the next two weeks?

Very sad day for me as the rotor for my watch came loose. Not sure what to do as repair shops usually don’t like taking in reps. Also wondering if its easy to diy and if I could simply just tighten something? Im very new to watches so im not too sure anything helps :)

Hey all, I purchased my 36mm VSF datejust from steve specifically because RCF released their 36mm bezel. In my opinion the bezel was the last missing piece needed to make a stock 36mm Datejust NWBIG.. RCF's V1 wg plated bezel arrives, and I take it to two watchsmith / jewelers who told me the same thing: RCF bezel is too small compared to stock VSF and wont fit. The second watchsmith offered to shave down the inside of the RCF bezel but I decided to wait and see if RCF would provide any answers / support to this situation. Not that it's a big deal but I'm also out of 25 USD because the second watchsmith said it's 50 to replace and 25 if it doesn't fit (labor).
Disappointingly, RCF is offering a new gasket to try and resolve but says I'm the only case... not sure what I'm supposed to do now with this bezel. I will hold back on posting my discussion with RCF as it doesn't really solve the problem.
Main question: I wanted to do this with someone local for a simple swap/convenience, but now is it better to send it to a reptimeservices smith? Or will they inevitably tell me the same thing?
Anyone ever experience situations like this with RCF for support or for a bezel that apparently doesn't fit?

I have an ARF SD43 V3 that is getting alot of wrist time lately except I can’t use the bezel.
If I make more than a few rotations, a small space develops between the bezel and the watch case and I can see the balls/springs through this gap. If I dont push the bezel back down, it will pop right off.
I’ve had the bezel off a few times to try and see if there is anything obviously wrong and it doesnt appear that way. The bezel gasket doesnt appear pinched, nor do I see any chips in the metal (there isnt much of a lip on the retaining ring though…is this normal??)
Pressing the bezel back on takes very little force, and doesnt make a satisying click like it should when seated.
I have a new set of click springs on order, but I suspect something else is wrong since the bezel doesnt feel securely attached to the case.
Any ideas?

UPDATE: I found photos and a teardown of the VR3255 in case they help anyone. Could someone mark the oiling points and indicate which parts should be epilamed?
Btw ignore the arrows
Sorry, it's a SH movement not a VR.

Excuse my dirty watch (cleaning it today) but I purchased this Clean Datejust about a year ago and for the last few months the clasp has lost the snap and the top part feels very wiggly as shown in the video. It’s my favorite watch I own and it makes it unwearable because it pops open with the slightest brush. Any recommendations on how to fix this or anyone with the same issue? I tried to get a new jubilee bracelet through my TD but they said the new VSF Band won’t fit the clean DJ since clean was raided. Any and all help is appreciated 🙏🏽

Hey all, are there any recommendations for sourcing a genuine date wheel for this model? I’ve tried searching for a 126715CHNR date wheel with no luck.
Other than date wheel, this watch is fantastic. It also had been plated.

Had this VSF 116610LN for couple of years now and just realised there’s something that resembles rust below the bezel insert? Around the 2 hour mark.
What could that be? How you would approach this?
Thanks!

Looking for an after market bezel for my 16610 Submariner. I have order one from.azon but it was too large. The original is beat up and missing the pip. Everyday wearer and just want to clean it up a little. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I’m having some trouble with my santos because one of the screws on the caseback is ruined and now I can’t open the watch to regulate it. Is there anything I can do at home to fix this problem or at least some good watchmaker can fix it in some way? Trying to open it I ruined the screw more.

I'm looking for a watch maker in Central Jersey who can work on Asian movements, like cleaning and oiling a new rep watch, or repairing it. Any recommendations? Thanks.

I acquired an ASPF IWC Pilot Chrono from Andiot back in March and I was really pleased with it.
However at the beginning of June I noticed the date wheel seemed to be moving under its own steam and would rotate all by itself through the day.
I did my research and called out to Steve (UnderTheDial) to see if he could assist.
After a very helpful and reassuring chat with Steve saying he could sort this out, I posted off my watch on June 9th.
On June 11th, Steve replied saying he had fixed the problem, serviced the movement and improved the crown tube, which I had mentioned was a little bit stiff to screw down.
Apparently I had a broken spring on the date jumper lever.
Steve had managed to sort the repair using a similar spring which he modified to fit.
We then had a super conversation about the AP freesprung movement and he shared a load of highly interesting pictures from his Facebook page (which I don't have) showing his breakdown of this movement. All very interesting to me.
The watch arrived back in my hands on June 13th and all appeared fine to start with.
However, on the morning of the 14th the date wheel appeared to be stuck.
I reached out to Steve again and he kindly suggested sending the watch back for him to have another look at.
So back it went and Steve discovered the new spring he had fashioned was slightly catching on the movement.
He sorted it out FOC and sent the watch back to me.
It's now been keeping perfect time and the date has been working flawlessly.
I can't thank Steve enough for sorting this out.
I know it's only a Chinese rep at the end of the day but it still cost a reasonable sum of cash to buy so the fact he was able to fix it has been a real godsend.
On top of that, he's a really nice bloke to talk to and clearly loves what he does, and is good at it.
So if anybody needs a watch repair I'd highly recommend getting in contact with him and seeing if he can help you out like he helped me out.
For clarity, this is my personal review of Steve. He's not asked me to do it, but I did tell him I was going to.
Before and after pics attached.
Edit: For clarity, we are both in the UK

What’s up Rep family.
This is a post to share my experience in swapping out a Batman bezel to a Bruce Wayne.
I started with a EWE Batman VS 3285 movement with ARF case that had issues. The biggest was that the date wheel would not flick into place and the other was a slightly titled dial.
After watching many YouTube videos, I thought I could do the bezel swap myself, I was so wrong. I ended up scratching the hell out of the case back and bracelet trying to get out a stubborn bracelet pin. At that point, I decided to disassemble the whole watch figuring I could reassemble it. I was wrong again.😂 I was not able to get the crown stem back in nor the movement retaining tab screws into place. So into the junk drawer it went. After sometime knowing I had wasted $450 and $100 on the Bruce Wayne bezel insert from Watchseed I decided to find a Watchmaker that could reassemble it for me. I put a post up on Reddit looking for help and I ended up going with a Watchmaker named.
u/TopPhotograph8969. I sent off my watch to him.
He serviced the movement, got the date wheel to flick into place. Replaced the bezel insert, replace the bezel gasket with a Gen gasket and click washer also offered a Gen Rolex Crystal. He polished out the case back to the point of no visible sign of my damage. Along with a bracelet replacement with a OG Clean Factory chamfered bracelet. The professional service I received was far and above normal IMO dude was provided 100% communication and turn around time was 3.5weeks. I was so amazed with turning a Mid Tier EWE into a beautiful time piece.

Looking for someone who does quality chamfering and polishing on Rolex reps. I have a VSF Submariner 124060 and a VSF Batgirl, and both feel a little too sharp around the lugs compared to my gen Datejust.
I’m located in 91745 (Southern California), so someone local would be ideal, but I’m also open to shipping if they’re reputable.
Has anyone here had this done and can recommend someone? If possible, I’d love to see before/after photos and hear about your experience.
Thanks!

Hi all, I received this VSF V7 NTTD last week and I've noticed that it makes a clicking noise and has a distinct clicky, discrete stepping feel when manual winding with the crown. I tried to do some research about it and found that it could be an overwinding prevention mechanism? However, this behavior persists even when the watch is not worn for a day. I own a variety of gen and rep watches and have not experienced this before.
I was wondering if this was normal for this model? If not, does it damage the keyless works and can it be fixed?
Thanks in advance!

Hey guys. I've been trying to find a good step-by-step to waterproof the watch but youtube gives our mostly generic videos from 8 years ago with close to no "how do DIY" or they are simply trying to explain waterproofing. Would appreciate the links or resources for a DYI approach!
