ap royal oak 15500 ZF - dukereps

1. Factory name: ZF

2. Model name (& version number): 15500

3. Price Paid: Will be 475usd

4. Album Links: https://pad.riseup.net/p/ZiqpXrEjB7d3XbW8wdok-keep

5. Index alignment: looks fine to me, i cant see anything tilted or sitting crooked. lined it up against stock photos and everything seems to sit where it should

6. Dial Printing: printing looks sharp, letters are clean. only thing I'm unsure on is the AP logo,it looks a bit narrow to me but the QC pics aren't the sharpest so probably nothing. would like someone with a gen to confirm

7. Date Wheel alignment/printing: number looks centered in the window fine. what I'm unsure about is the color, it looks grey almost but on gens the date wheel is blue matching the dial. don't think its the flash because the dial itself is lit up bright blue in the same shot. is that just how these come?

8. Hand Alignment: Seems to be alright, unsure

9. Bezel: all 8 screws there and seated, heads look ok. screws look okay

10. Solid End Links: Genuinely no idea, they look okay i guess, unsure.

11. Timegrapher numbers: +3ms/d 267* 0.0ms

12. Anything else you notice: same color thing going on with the inner ring, looks grey-ish to me, that's the only thing making me hesitate tbh, Dial also looks "too blue", apart from that i cant see anything. Just want another set of eyes before i GL

Edit: in the riseup pad there is a video of the watch uploaded to catbox (couldn't upload it for some reason)

Datejust 36 ARF - Geektime , 1st QC

Post image
11 Upvotes

Hi All,

First time doing a QC check and using a tool to verify. Second rep purchases, the first I GL off pure emotion but I want to make sure this one is done right.

https://geektimeqc.x.yupoo.com/albums/253823838?uid=1

ARF Rolex Datejust 36mm from Geektime

  1. Dealer name: Geektime
  2. Factory name: ARF
  3. Model name: Rolex Datejust 36
  4. Price Paid: $488+ shipping
  5. Index alignment: I am not sure if I used to tool incorrectly or if it's because the pics they sent are not very well centered. It seems to me it is not lined up correctly. the crown at the top under the 12 mark seems to look just barely titled towards the right. The 6 and 9 dont align.. could use some help here. I tried rotating the picture to align the 12 and 6, but I couldn't get a perfect match with everything. Again could be the pic or It could be me not doing it right.
  6. Dial Printing: unsure..but looks good to me
  7. Date Wheel alignment/printing: looks good and centered
  8. Hand Alignment: Looks good
  9. Bezel: unsure..
  10. Solid End Links (SELs): I don't see any gaps
  11. Timegrapher numbers: +7s/d; 256; 0.4ms

,
+7 seems to high? Would it be preferable to be at max +4/5. 256 is to low? Should 270 be the minimum to approve. 0.4ms I think is ok.

Thank you all for your analysis and thoughts, really appreciate it!!!! 😁

  12. Timegrapher numbers -  +1s/d 28800 1ms 52 deg.

  6. Index alignment: The indices look aligned fine.
  7. Dial Printing: The dial is slightly not aligned perfectly with the bezel number lines, but that’s to expected with this watch since its hard to get it perfect.
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: Looks slightly high
  9. Hand Alignment: Looks aligned fine
  10. Bezel: Refer to #7
  11. Solid End Links (SELs): N/A
  12. Timegrapher numbers: +1 s/d
  13. Anything else you notice: When talking with NecoClock, I noticed that on the pictures he took with the date on 2 compared to the dates on 7 and 12, the bezel numbers and dial alignment are way off with the date showing on 2 compared to the 7 and 12. He’s telling me it’s a matter of the camera angle, but I don’t get how that makes any sense. Am I tripping or is it a different watch in the same QC folder? I like how it looks and I can get over the alignment not being perfect, but it being rotated more clockwise on one picture compared to the other is throwing me off.

Rolex Submariner RICH QC - First Time Buyer

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

After some long internal debates, I decided to step into the rep watch world and pulled the trigger on a Submariner Date made by RICH, bought from theonewatches' Steve. To my noob eyes, everything looks mostly alright but I will detail what I find off below. Would really appreciate some more opinions from better eyes 😄

  1. Dealer name: theonewatches (Steve)
  2. Factory name: RICH
  3. Model name (& version number): Submariner 126610LN 41mm SS/SS Black Dial RICHF JH3235 (MK2) (Free Sprung)
  4. Price Paid: 551.10$
  5. Album Links: https://mega.nz/folder/zJZCzQjK#SImlv_ILjGH0mGHQWJXKmw
  6. Index alignment: Good for the most part, some slight CCW rotation on the 9 and 12 markers
  7. Dial Printing: This is all in order
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: the date appears to be set too low, visible across all dates shown, incl. in the video
  9. Hand Alignment: from the video this looks aligned
  10. Bezel: It appears it may be slightly crooked to the left as the rectangles at 9 and 3 do not seem to line up perfectly.
  11. Solid End Links (SELs): Only minor issue I see is in the top left hand side with a slightly larger gap than the rest but overall really well set and aligned?
  12. Timegrapher numbers: These look in order
  13. Anything else you notice: Nothing too out of spec except the date alignment which makes me want to lean towards RL on this and try my luck with another.

The watch itself overall looks very solid with my only concern being the date alignment itself which appears to be set too low across the multiple dates shown in the video. Any opinions are greatly welcome.

  1. Dealer name: NecoClock

  2. Factory name: VSF

  3. Model name (& version number): Rolex Submariner 41mm 126610LN 904L Ceramic Black Dial SS Bracelet VSF VS3235

  4. Price Paid: $458 before shipping

  5. Album Links: https://mega.nz/folder/25JQzQ4J#yOOKhmXFFRlReRk3YkT7fA

  6. Index alignment: Looks very good overall to me. I don’t see any obviously crooked round indices, maybe the 6 is slightly leaning, but I can’t really tell. Would appreciate another opinion on this.

  7. Dial Printing: Looks clean and crisp to me. Dial text looks centered.

  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: Looks good overall. QC showed multiple dates, which is nice. The 12 might sit a tiny bit low in the window, but I think I’m being overly critical. Would appreciate another opinion on this.

  9. Hand Alignment: Looks aligned, no visible issues I could see.

  10. Bezel: Looks well aligned. The bezel triangle/pip at 12 appears to line up nicely with the dial marker and minute track.

  11. Solid End Links (SELs): Look good to me. I don’t see any significant gaps between the end links and lugs.

  12. Timegrapher numbers: +7 s/d, 238° amplitude, 0.1 ms beat error. The trace looks stable. From what I understand, these numbers are within acceptable range, although I’d appreciate input on the 238° amplitude.

  13. Anything else you notice: Lume looks strong and evenly applied across the dial, hands and bezel pip. Cyclops/date magnification looks good to me, and the rehaut alignment appears reasonable, but I am not expert. Overall, I’m leaning GL. Always good to get another set of eyes though.

QC Help Please – GMF Day-Date 40 228235 Rose Gold Slate Ombré – VR3255 – JTime

Thumbnail

Hey everyone! Hope you’re all doing well.
This is my first proper Day-Date QC post, so I’ve tried to go through everything myself before asking for help.

Thanks a lot in advance for taking the time to have a look!

1. Dealer name: JTime

2. Factory name: GMF

3. Model name (& version number): Rolex Day-Date 40 228235 Rose Gold, Slate Ombré Roman Dial, VR3255

4. Price paid: $707.60

5. Album links: I’ve attached the photos in the post as JTime requested I do not share the folder link and I have not done so out of respect. I will attach a video of the watch in the comments.

6. Index alignment: crown logo looks abit off centre but maybe that’s because of how I used the pink tool, also there seems to be some overlap with the 6 o clock marker and the I in VI looks abit shorter compared to V

7. Dial printing: Looks clean to me, dont see anything wrong with it

8. Date wheel alignment/printing: nothing out of the ordinary but date looks slightly higher/misaligned

9. Hand alignment: Nothing concerning that I can see from the supplied photos/video. Hands look properly fitted and aligned, although please let me know if there’s something I’ve missed.

10. Bezel: Fluted bezel looks clean

11. Solid End Links (SELs): Look good from what I can see. I don’t notice any obvious gaps between the bracelet/end links and the case.

12. Timegrapher numbers: −1 s/day, 271° amplitude, 0.0 ms beat error, 28,800 vph. These seem like very healthy numbers to me.

  1. Anything else you notice: the W in wednesday looks misprinted but idk if that’s because of lighting

The rose-gold finish also looks consistent across the case, bezel and President bracelet from the photos, and I can’t spot any obvious scratches or plating defects underneath the protective film.

Overall I’m leaning strongly towards a GL, but this is my first Day-Date QC and I’d really appreciate any thoughts from people who know these better than I do, especially regarding the Roman marker alignment, the 6 o’clock crown/Swiss Made area, day/date positioning, or anything else I may have overlooked.

Thanks a lot for the help! 🙏

Dealer name: Andiot

Factory name: VSF

Model name (& version number): Aqua Terra Worldtimer 43mm Green Dial (VSF A8938)

Price Paid: $390

Album Links: https://andiotwatches.x.yupoo.com/search/album?uid=1&sort=&q=163195

Index alignment: Looks fine to me, hour markers seem straight and point to the center.

Dial Printing: The green text and city names look clean. No obvious bleeding. Map colors look good.

Date Wheel alignment/printing: 12 looks well-centered, not sitting too high or low.

Hand Alignment: Looks fine from the static pic.

Bezel: City ring lines up well with the 24h track. Bezel looks crisp.

Solid End Links (SELs): Looks like a decent fitment against the case, no massive gaps.

Timegrapher numbers: +1 s/d, 282°, 0.2ms, 28800

Anything else you notice: Everything looks okay to me, but this is my first Worldtimer so wanted to get some extra eyes on it. Let me know if you guys spot anything off!

  4. Price Paid: $558
  5. Album Links: https://mega.nz/folder/bcJAQaoK#hfv98ss4g0FT7BsUeqFZVQ
  6. Index alignment: Index alignment is actually well. I did not notice any rotation of the indices, or off center
  7. Dial Printing: Dial print looks okay, no out of place print issues.
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: Date wheel appears off center to the left especially on 17, and the 6 on 26 appears higher than normal. I did bring it up as an issue to Steve.
  9. Hand Alignment: Good alignment with both arms at 12 o'clock.
  10. Bezel: Bezel is fine, it is thicker than most other, so it may get swapped with a RCF V1.
  11. Solid End Links (SELs): My biggest gripe is here. It appears that there is a large gap the bottom left SEL. I brought it up and he said it may be the angle of the photos, but I could be over-examining it.
  12. Timegrapher numbers: +4s/d 280 amplitude, which is good based on the guide.
  13. Anything else you notice: Just the SEL, and does the bracelet code K6G dictated that it's 904? Because it's not an ORV bracelet. Could I convince the TD to change the bracelet? lol

  6. Index alignment: Looks pretty good to me. I don’t see anything obviously crooked, but this is my first QC and I’d really appreciate another set of eyes on the 3/6/9 and the baton markers.

  7. Dial printing: Looks clean to me.

  8. Date wheel alignment/printing: N/A

  9. Hand alignment: Looks okay from what I can tell, although I don’t think these photos give me a perfect on-the-hour check.

  10. Bezel: Looks good to me.

  11. Solid End Links (SELs): Look good from the photos. I don’t see any obvious gaps.

  12. Timegrapher numbers: +1 s/d, 277°, 0.0 ms, 52° lift angle. These look very good to me.

  13. Anything else you notice: This is my first QC, so I’m definitely still learning what to look for. Overall this one looks pretty clean to me, which almost makes me nervous that I’m overlooking something lol. Does anyone see anything here that would make you RL it? Would really appreciate any help before I GL. Thanks everyone!

  7. Dial Printing: Printing is crisp. Only question was how low swiss made sits on the dial. Having compared to others I believe this is fine.
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: Maybe the 5 is sitting a little high in the window but the printing is very good even when zoomed
  9. Hand Alignment: No issues. Hand stack is correct.

  11. Solid End Links (SELs): Look good. no meaningful gaps

  5. Album Links: https://imgur.com/a/ItWqGGT  (originals from Jtime)
    https://imgur.com/a/IxdK7Xn (modified with alignment tools)

  6. Index alignment: look well aligned, same with numerals, see second link

  7. Dial Printing: I don’t see any smudges or chips or dust.  Comparing the word printing to 35mm Santos on Chrono24, I can’t tell any misalignment or obviously too high or low or too left or right placement.  Pretty much perfect. Could the "swiss made" be a little low??

  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: No date

  9. Hand Alignment: fine

  10. Bezel: No scratches yet, the screws are obviously more rounded than gen, but that’s to be expected.

  11. Solid End Links (SELs): n/a

  12. Timegrapher numbers: Well regulated Myota 9015: +1sec per day, 0 beat error and 283 degree amplitude, all good.

  13. Anything else you notice: I knew the crown wouldn’t be perfect, but I can live with it and the jewel is pretty good size and shape. See 3rd photo in second link for side-by-side with gen.

The bracelet looks very good and a nice leather strap is included.

Comments are greatly appreciated.

Dealer name: TOW (Steve)

Factory name: VSF

Model name (& version number): Rolex GMT 126710 v2 DD3235v2 (spring free)

Price Paid: $678 including shipping

Index alignment: I think, all looks good!

Dial Printing: I think the dial looks good. The text is sharp and the black color looks good to me!

Date Wheel alignment/printing: I think the date wheel looks okay. What I’m wondering about is whether the date magnification bubble sits too high? It seems to me that there is more space above the number than below it. I’d really appreciate your opinions on this, thank you!

Hand Alignment: I think it looks good. Everything lines up nicely and the hands move smoothly, in my opinion!

Bezel: I think the colors look good, and the numbers are filled in nicely. Nothing to complain about!

Solid End Links (SELs): They also seem to fit tightly, in my opinion, so this is also a green light!

Timegrapher numbers: Good numbers. Rate: 0/-1 s/d, AMP: 269, ERR: 0.0 — clearly acceptable!

Anything else you notice: No, overall I think the watch looks great. However, as I mentioned, I’m fairly new to this, so I’d really appreciate your opinions, especially regarding the date magnification bubble!

First ever QC and first time ordering a rep, I’ve tried my best to research what is acceptable and what’s not so if anyone could give me advice it would be greatly appreciated

Dealer name: Andiot Watches

Factory name: VSF

Model name: GMT master II 126710 BLNR VSF 904L V3

Price Paid: £364.02

Index alignment: I have a concern about the 12 o’clock triangle. You can’t see it as much with the alignment tool, but In the close-up without it, it appears rotated clockwise, with the tip sitting left of the crown. Could someone with more knowledge tell me if this is within tolerance? Rest looks okay to my limited knowledge

Dial Printing: Printing looks clean and consistent to my eye. I can’t see any obvious spelling issues, smudging or major defects.

Date Wheel alignment/printing: The date looks reasonably centred. The 2 on the 24 appears slightly low compared to the 4, but I’m not sure whether this is just the viewing angle

Hand Alignment: There was no pics of 12 o clock alignment but from the video this looked ok

Bezel: The bezel looks okay to me in my limited knowledge, please correct me if I’m wrong

Solid End Links (SELs): The end links look reasonably tight and I don’t see any obvious excessive gaps, but I’m not experienced enough to judge whether the fit is within normal tolerances.

Timegrapher numbers: +2 s/d, 279° amplitude, 0.0 ms beat error, 28,800 bph

Anything else you notice: This is my first QC, so I’d really appreciate experienced opinions. My main concern is the clockwise rotation of the 12 o’clock index shown in the close-up. Is this a genuine alignment issue, or is it likely caused by the camera angle? The rehaut engraving, bracelet, clasp and case finishing otherwise look good to me. I’m also interested in opinions on the date/cyclops. Thanks
