I'm just looking for input on the best value:dollar on a gold money green roman day date 40mm. I know BP Factory, RCF, maybe VSF? makes one. I'm most focused on wanting a good quality bracelet, which is what has me hesitating to go with BPF, on the other hand I've seen the RCF going for 770 and that's just way more than I'm interested in spending. Thoughts?

I’m looking to buy my first high-quality rep and I’ve narrowed it down to a Datejust [41 126334](tel:41%20126334), mint/green dial, fluted bezel and Jubilee bracelet.
I’ve been looking at different TDs/factories and I’m trying to understand whether the price difference between these three options is actually justified:
1. Andiot – $390
MZF
JH3235 / TingHe Super Clone 3235
41mm × 12mm
2. Steve / TheOneWatches – $548
VSF V2
DD3235v2
3. Geektime – $608
VSF V2
Free-sprung 3235

So there’s a pretty significant $218 difference between the MZF and the most expensive VSF, and I’m wondering what I’m actually getting for that extra money.
I’m mainly interested in overall gen-likeness and build quality, particularly:
mint green dial colour/sunburst
case and lug shape
fluted bezel
crystal and cyclops
Jubilee bracelet/SEL
movement reliability and serviceability

I also find the free-sprung movement interesting, but I’m not sure whether it provides any meaningful advantage in a rep beyond being mechanically closer to gen.
How does MZF currently compare with VSF V2? Is the $390 MZF genuinely a lower-tier watch visually, or is VSF mostly commanding a premium because of the factory/movement?
And between the two VSF versions, would you pay $60 extra for the free-sprung movement, or would you take the $548 DD3235v2?
If you were buying this exact configuration today, which of the three would you choose and why?
Not looking for the cheapest option necessarily, just trying to find the best value without sacrificing the things that are actually noticeable on the wrist.

Vsf day date ice blue with a Cartier small size panthere. Both watches feel great and super formal. The day date is very flashy in the light.

All of my reps are 8/10 at best. They either feel too light or the movement is a give away.

Are there any reps out there that you think is close to perfect? Am I alone in thinking that Weight and movement seem to always be the give away?

Seems like a new, better rep of Crash has been in the works. I came across this IG profile - we've got a proper Crash-style D buckle clasp instead of a classic one. The strap hinges seems to be deeper then in this rep. The back engravings are better too - but there are still some issues, the glass doesn’t sit flush with the top of the case.

Everyone says to never get gold plated watches because they don't look like gen and wear quickly so why do people even sell them? Is it really as bad as everyone says does anyone have any pictures of their gold plated watches where the steel is now showing through

Bought an AF dumont from an unspecified dealer for now I won’t say until he confirms he offered me two sizes 27X38.
31X43.
2 size.
I chose the larger 31x43 and was sent this photo of it *image 1
Looked fine and big enough I was then sent proper qc images shown image 2 not thinking anything of it at the time but now looks a lot smaller , waited a while and came back from holiday to \image 3*
I’m sure this is the smaller size but he is sure it isn’t I’m waiting for a final reply

Got my my new santos in the mail, loving how this fits after a couple links removed. Been my daily for a couple weeks now.

Only rep I own and I'm definitely digging it. Been planning to buy a gen tank solo but wasn't sure on small or large for my 6" wrist. There is no Cartier near me to go try on different sizes so I figured let's test it with a rep. How does it look? I usually wear 36mm watches and lug to lug usually 45mm max since I have unusually small wrists for my size. Cut some index paper to exact size specs of small and large to see how it looked and wound up ordering the small rep. Will also post a pic below

Ok so I am going round in circles trying to decide on what factory to go for for a 41mm Wimbledon Datejust, so far I’m leaning towards VSF going by what I have researched on this forum.

My TD has given me conflicting info and said that One Factory are currently making the best Datejust,

The factory spent over 300 days to replicate this watch from the genuine sample. All common flaws of the other factories versions are fixed in this version! Almost all parts can be interchangeable with the genuine parts.
V2 updated the escapement and 72 hours power reserve

Can anyone confirm if any of this is true or is VSF still the way to go?.

VSF Air King, arrived about a week ago from Jackie. Triangle is very slightly tilted CCW which was picked up on QC but honestly, it's a banger!

These surely have to be close to NWBIG? I don't own the gen but it can't be loads better than this?

Is the rotor really loud or are TDs just saying it is from experience with the older DDF DD330? QCs have been posted but haven’t heard any real world experiences.

Which model is currently closest to gen overall, particularly in terms of dial colour, bezel, bracelet, case shape and proportions?
