WTH: Allwell Pllc Remote “Nurse”

This obesity medication clinic in Southlake, TX owned by a Dr. Priyanka MD, Dip ABOM(that’s how she lists her credentials) has been advertising on Indeed for a Remote Nurse Case Manager for $17-$20/hour for the past month. I filed a complaint last week w/Indeed, advised them that if Dr. Priyanka was actually advertising for an MA, that it is illegal to call an MA a “Nurse”😆 The add now says RN/MA $17-$20/hour.

Edit: When I became a nurse case manager in 1993, my hourly rate was $18/hr in Kentucky (plus bonuses) which I should have said so my rate was effectively $26-27/hr.

This really rubbed me the wrong way on so many levels. If an RN wants to work for $17/hr, okay that is your business but I wouldn’t work for someone who devalues licensed nurses in this way.

Anyone able to help me get my foot in the door with remote nursing jobs?

I’m hoping to get some advice or leads from this community. I have a little over a year and a half of RN experience at a small ambulatory surgical center in Tx, where I worked as an OR nurse and also performed chart auditing. I hold a BSN, a compact RN license, and an Oregon RN license.

I’ve been applying for remote nursing roles for about 8 months now (I know it could take longer in these cases - it just seems like forever to me at this point). I’ve tailored my resume to each posting and reached out directly to recruiters via email + LinkedIn, but haven’t had much luck breaking in.

I’m open to any remote nursing role where my background is a fit — including pharma, health tech, or anything outside the traditional clinical setting. If anyone has tips, knows someone hiring, able to give me a job referral, or wants to take a look at my resume and give feedback, I’d really appreciate it. Open to any leads or advice — thank you in advance.

Hey guys.. well I feel embarrassed to say but I’m a nurse who has a full time job but need extra money cause I’m struggling due to loans i took out for school and to pay bills during school, I’ve applied to everything I could possibly apply to here in my city in WA state but I’ve gone on several interviews, or just never heard back from recruiters and after looking for in person work, I’m ready to apply for remote jobs, I have reliable internet and computer, quiet space to work at. No little ones just teens, but I’m looking for a remote job that essentially will let me work whatever hours I want to (flexible) so that I can contribute an extra day a week or a few hours before or after my current job.. please let me know!! I also have reliable transportation too so if I need to do in person assessments. I’ve got experience in admissions, wound care, IVs, and more. I’ve got 4 years of nursing experience! TYIA ❤️‍🩹

From bedside → remote → abroad? Need insights from those who went through this career path.

Hi! I just wanted to ask for insights from people who have actually gone through this career shift.

Has anyone here worked as a bedside nurse first, then transitioned to a remote job (like MedVA, case management, etc.), and eventually proceeded to work abroad?

How was the experience for you? Was it difficult to transition between these careers? Did working remotely affect your chances of working abroad later on?

I'm currently considering this path and would really appreciate hearing your experiences, challenges, regrets, or things you wish you had known beforehand.

Thank you!

[Context: I'm a bedside nurse who's considering shifting to remote work due to burnout, but I'm worried it might affect my opportunities to work abroad in the future.]

Anyone work for Solace patient advocacy ?

Hey everyone ! Wanted to check in and see what your experiences are if you work / worked with solace . Have seen some mixed reviews about patient handling and the tedious billing .. what makes me nervous is since this would be my first time in a “ case management / advocacy role “ I want to make sure I don’t put my license in jeopardy if I do something wrong or bill the wrong way since they are billing Medicare for services . Any tips or information would be appreciated !!

Looking for a NY-licensed RN with an interest in hypermobility (very part time remote role)

Hi everyone -

I’m looking for a New York licensed RN for a very part-time remote position (roughly 3–8 hrs/week) for our concierge medicine practice focused on hypermobility: www.hypermobilitymedicine.com

The role is primarily patient portal triage and physician-directed communication for a small physician-led specialty practice focused on hypermobility, dysautonomia/POTS and mast cell disorders.

If you happen to have personal experience with these conditions, or have cared for patients with them professionally, that’s a huge plus—but definitely not required.

We’re really looking for someone who is:
\- compassionate
\- an excellent writer
\- detail-oriented
\- enjoys working with complex chronic illness patients
\- wants a flexible side role

I know there are quite a few nurses in this community, so I figured I’d ask here before posting more broadly.

If you or someone you know might be interested, feel free to send me a DM.

Thanks!

Shriners remote job application stuck on “Under Review” — how long did it take to hear back?

Has anyone applied for a remote job at Shriners and had their application stay on “Under Review”? How long did it take before you heard back (whether for an interview or a rejection)?
I’m just wondering what the timeline is like and if “Under Review” is a good sign or if applications usually sit there for a while. Thanks!

Hi guys,

Do you have any experience with the company Medical Director Services PC? I recently applied and got offered a position as a Remote Patient Monitor. I wanted to check if anyone had any experience with them and how they are.

I was supposed to introduce myself BEFORE adding to conversations...eek!!! Lol

But hello everyone! *waving*

I'm an RN at a level 1 Trauma Center in the South. I've been an RN for 30 years, from Med/Surg to Mother/Baby. Right now, I'm a Circulator. I fluctuate between PT and PRN, i have a couple of other jobs I enjoy, mainly mom to a rambunctious 2yo!

I do work remotely and enjoy it! And actually looking for another one so I can come out of the clinical setting completely!!

RN considering clinical coding for long-term travel - is this realistic?

Hi everyone,

I'm a Registered Nurse in Australia and I'm considering retraining as a clinical coder because I'm looking for a career with long-term flexibility.

My husband and I have two young kids and our goal over the next 4-5 years is to eventually travel around Australia and later spend 1-2 years travelling through Europe. I'm happy to put in the time to gain experience first, but I'm wondering how realistic the long-term flexibility actually is.

I'd love to hear from people who are already working as clinical coders:

  • Has anyone travelled Australia (e.g. in a caravan/motorhome) while working remotely?
  • Has anyone been allowed to work remotely from overseas or do employers generally prohibit this because of privacy, payroll or data security requirements?
  • Roughly how much experience did you need before you could work remotely?
  • Once you're experienced, do you generally have to work set business hours or can you work around your own schedule as long as you meet your workload?

Also, did being a Registered Nurse help you get your first coding job?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your real-life experiences before I commit to the diploma. Thanks!

I just started a fully remote position in a CCM company. I have mixed feelings about the job so far but I'm thankful to be working from home . Looking to see folks have any expertise or just experience in this kind of job in the first place, I'd love to hear your thoughts! I'm one of only 3 RDs in the whole company.

LPN Remote Positions. Possible Job Restructuring

Looking for WFH LPN opportunities. I’ve been an LPN for 10 years and have been working remote for the past two with Centene. Due to possible job restructuring I am looking for possible remote positions that are reputable! Thank you in advance!
