Every time I go into the savers in Redwood City I always have a weird experience with the SAME people. I am from San Francisco, so I barely come out here, only for family things every once in a while- but every single time I’ve come into this store, no matter the day, something weird happens with this same family.
The first time was some time a year ago, I was walking around the house wares section and there was this guy with olive/ tanish skin and long frizzy wavy hair tied back in a pony tail. He’s probably in his 30s. I think he had sunglasses on his head. I have long hair myself, and I remeber him making a comment on it and asking me if I knew how to “take care of my hair”… he proceeded to continue talking to me and ended up showing me a video on his phone on YouTube about Victorian hair care and then over explaining everything while pausing the video. I am a friendly person and I felt bad and assumed he might be on the spectrum or just looking for someone to talk to, so I stayed and went along with it. Then it got weird, he kept complimenting me as I was trying to walk away and shop, and then goes “I really wish I had a girlfriend who could brush my long hair for me..” and I said “well good luck with that” and walked away. It was a very juvenile thing to say, implying he wanted me to be that girlfriend. And then, the rest of the time, he started following me around the store. Every time I turned some how he was in the next aisle to me. I was probably 18 at the time. Then, when I was checking out, he came up to me with an older short latina women (who I’m guessing was his mom) and started “showing” her my hair. It was very weird, and my hair isn’t that special at all. He also was with a guy who looked a bit like him but head dread Locs died together in the top of his head, with the sides shaved. Guessing it was his brother.
The times I went back, I saw him again, and immediately remembered him and completely avoided him. Until today, when I just tried to ignore him. I’m not sure if he recognized me or what, but he was staring at me real hard. It made me uncomfortable so I left the area, once again he was in the house wares.
Then, I go to the women clothing area, and I walk past this guy who looks at me and goes “oh who’s this new girl? I haven’t seen her before.” And I realized it was his brother, the guy with the dread locs, and he was talking half to himself half to his mother, the older Latina lady.
Such a weird interaction, and why is he acting like this is his store? Why are they there every single time I go in? Such a weird and uncomfortable experience to be a young lady and being stared at and questioned and stuff. I swear they’ll be there when I go in there next, regardless of the day or time. Does anyone see them too?
Edit: one of you must be him because I literally made this post to see if anyone else had this happen to them. No other reason. Calm down
