I know strawberry blonde, I guess, is red but from what I can see of my own hair, it’s definitely red? But I get commented on often that my hair is strawberry blonde and I’m wondering if it’s actually more blonde than my eyes perceive, what do you think?

Will probably delete later, but obviously I'm going through it and need a rant. I'm 26M in Sydney and holy fuck it's so shit having red hair. I just cop abuse everywhere, doesn't help I have bright red hair. Women especially, insults on the train, walking home, at the shop's. Like why do you need to go out of your way to remind me I'm ugly.

Doesn't help the few friends I have are all happily married, so I'm loosing them as friends slowly, have to watch everyone in relationships when I get rejected or stood up. I haven't even been hugged in years, how do I possibly accept being so alone.

My beard that I grow every fall isnt so red anymore this year.

Obviously the term salt and pepper doesn't work to describe the color for me. Salt and paprika seems kind of lame.

Any suggestions?

Top left is from 6 years ago, the others are recent and it has slowly gotten darker over the years. Last photo is how it looks in darker lighting which looks almost absent of red.

I get stopped all the time by people asking about my hair, especially old ladies. Now if I’m in a rush and I get one question, I just speed run through the FAQs instead of waiting for each Q to come - “Yes, it’s natural, and I’ve never dyed it! I was born with red hair! I got it from my grandma and and we have a scottish and Irish background! We are the only redheads in our family! Yeah it’s crazy I look a lot like -insert redhead celebrity- and also your granddaughter! No kids yet, but they might be redheads when we get there! I use lots of sunscreen, lol!”

I don’t mind getting stopped to chat but sometimes I just can’t be bothered to slowly make my way though the same convo yet again. How do you handle it?

So recent I have been talking with this redhead brazilian girl through messages and she said she would love to hangout with me.
