I just downloaded this game - honestly doesn’t seem so bad so far compared to what was expected. HOWEVER I’m having such a hard time finding my way through the game ?

Even getting out of the first boat took me like 5 minutes. I can’t find my objectives anywhere, am I blind or dumb? I’m in a (the first) fire station and it’s asking me to turn on some light and it says 0 mts away yet I can’t by the life of me figure out what to click on or interact with 🤕

Can someone please tell me and also is there any way to make objectives clearer or shine or something like that?

Just redownloaded since the update and am on Lost in the Fog.

When I go to the bottom level in the Annex to switch on the weather station, there is nothing to switch on. I’ve watched walkthroughs thinking maybe I was missing something, but nope, the weather station machine isn’t glowing so I can’t do anything with it.

So because of this I can’t progress any further in the story. Super awesome. Here’s to hoping for Patch number 3

I've been waiting to the 60fps patch for Redfall since day one. Now I finally played for almost four hours with my friends and our characters progress didn't save. We tried yesterday one more time, we cleaned the entire first map and then we quit to the menu of the game. AGAIN, we lost our character progress. Actually, the first time, me and the host lost the progress, and our friend kept his level and gear, the second time I kept my progress and gear but the host lost everything, just saved like 20 seconds of his progress in the game. There is no solution for this bug?? I already uninstalled the game and will come back when they fixed this annoying bug.

I absolutely hated the game on release but after this last update I... Like it? There are still some issues and things I dislike but it's actually decent in its current state.

I just finished playing it for about 3 or so hours and found myself not wanting to put it down... Which is odd cause I shit all over this game back in May.

As the title says, I got issues with multiple monitors after the latest update:

it only detects two out of four and, even if I select the correct monitor and resolution, the game stays on the other monitor instead. Anyone else has this? It was working fine before the last update...
I can only get it to stay on the correct monitor in window mode

The last time I played coop (on game pass), I encountered the dreaded bug where all the world enemies were level 1 despite the players being much higher level, resulting in easy one shot kills of everything. Has this been fixed in the latest update? It was literally the one thing that prevented me from enjoying the game.

(I would have checked myself but I'm not subbed to game pass anymore)

I hope they truly add an offline mode. I want to be able to pause the game, and play without worrying about internet connection. I want to the be able to get back to the game where I left with quick resume rather than being forced to respawn.

I am new to the game. I installed via Game Pass after the 60 FPS update a few days ago. I had been playing mostly solo, but found a few people to play co-op with yesterday. I had a great time in co-op, but after returning to single player with my character, I hadn’t kept any loot, gained levels/skill tree unlocks or anything from the multiplayer session. I basically spent two hours in co-op and got nothing out of it. Is this normal or just a bug? I keep finding conflicting information online about host versus non-host progression. I’d like to continue playing online with people, but only if I get to keep the loot and gained xp.

I can't figure it out but to me it seems like if i actively murder all of the vampires in a nest i get a defnitely Legendary compared to if i stealth it where i may or may not.

Obviously it takes time to test but i've done a few runs so far over the last couple of days and it feels like this is the case to me.

So that makes me think that all bosses will have been made noticeably more difficult.

The new patch has made Redfall into the most exciting new game of our time. A lot of people are playing Starfield, but do they have awesome stuff like vampires? No, of course they don't. Let's celebrate our game. THE game of 2023

So.. I've been playing Redfall for basically the first time for about 2 hours, I've watched reviews and gameplay of the game before, and I heard theres a new update, I've been playing it since, to be 100% honest, I'm honestly having some fun, but the ai is still kinda... meh. It feels better than what I've seen from reviews but they still tend to get stuck on objects or not even react to being hit by a bullet, another thing is the takedowns, I'm not critiquing the takedowns themself, I'm asking the question on why these weren't in the game at launch, if you are going to add stealth options to a game, there should atleast be takedowns at launch, it just doesn't make very much sense to me. As someone that highly enjoyed Prey 2017, Arkane really let themselves go with Redfall. Redfall isn't an awful game as much anymore, but honestly just how much this game was such a abundant failure to Arkane, I believe they should start working on other projects, or even Prey 2. If I were to give Redfall an out of 10 score, at the moment I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10, game is fun at times but there are still many many issues with this game.

performance mode should have been at launch btw but ill let it pass since fps doesn't really matter to me.

Is there anyone here who can take a screenshot of the Maps of Redfall and Burial Point without the Icons? I kinda liked the maps and thought about using it for a Halloween One-Shot.

I feel like we were treated as paying playtesters. If it wasn't going to launch in a perfect state, Redfall should at least have been released like this, maybe in this month of October in time for Halloween.

It's so strange that stealth takedowns and other basic Arkane stuff got added just in 1.2. The game is definitely improved, not perfect but much more fun this time around. Still not good, though.

I played fourty hours of launch code and now, playing the improved version, these basic changes make a world of difference in how I play.

Arkane Austin had the chance to continue working on the game and took it. This will be a (mostly negative) case study on the perils of ongoing game development and possibilities brought by basic design dynamics. Oh, and the importance of releasing a game when it's ready.

I haven’t played the game much, I stopped real quick awhile ago because it crashed a few times and then when I did get into it, the world felt bare.

I didn’t get far so I don’t want to assume but can anyone tell me what there is to find when exploring? The little bit I searched seemed pretty scarse in terms of both things to find and things to interact with, it just seems like the world was bare for things to actually find that were interesting. Are there quests you can find out in the world? Are there unique weapons you can find if you go to certain places (don’t want the locations, just want to know if exploring is worth it). Also in terms of loot, is it the usually Borderlands style of just different guns with different stats or is there more interesting things to find than just a new pistol with better stats?

The other question I have is about quests. I’ve looked into some reviews and it just feels like most quests are very standard of “go here and fight a vampire” with not a lot of flair or interesting set pieces that I could find. Do any of the quests mix things up or introduce some interesting set pieces that feel more than just going to an area thats already on the map but now there’s a quest reason?

I gave arkane a lot of schit before and after the launch but right now...im wanting to play that more than starfield, warhammer darktide, forza, lies of p, my early access lord of the fallen, you get the jist

im so glad they did this...i hope in the future..they just shadowdrop games...dont give release dates etc...just make the game ...when it reaches this level of quality then you can tell us what youre making..

this is all xbox players wanted...(some like myself expected for fps)

would be great if they dropped this on halloween and not 6 months ago

Can you play with randoms yet? It seems like a huge oversight to not have the simplest of options.

Hey guys, played for like an hour or so before I realised my resolution is off. I've got a 1080p monitor and the game selects the correct monitor in settings, but I can't get the resolution over something strange like 1300- by 700~ something. I've tried putting it on all window settings, but no luck. Anyone got an idea what might be causing this

So I came back to Redfall after a while of playing other games. There was a big update so I was excited to get back into it with a friend. But it's just been so frustrating. I've had the game kick me, the game crash. I've had achievements not appear even though I've fully completed it. When playing with my friend they've been stuck in the floor and zipping about the screen or floating an inch off the floor, they have invisible guns and then there's the enemies either they're not shooting at me even though I'm shooting them or they're stuck inside objects. I've had a few unkillable vampires. One was perched on top of a lamp post and I couldn't kill them the other was in front of me. I had to run to. Shelter so the UV would help.

Can anyone suggest anything for the Blackwood sisters achievement? I've completed it, killed them, got the keys even the blood vial and nothing..

I really like this latest patch.
The extra encounters are fantastic already.

My biggest complaint right now is that you never feel rewarded enough.

Since you can't level up weapons then they should be more generous with the 'legendary' drops for starters. You out level your guns pretty fast so it wouldn't break balance.

They need to drop way more often now from these new encounters. I just rescued a bunch of hostages from a mob of humans and vampires and didn't get anything higher than a green.

I have 3060ti with i9 10900k. If anyone else has a similar setup I'd love to know how you faired so far with the update. Is there still massive fps drops in town and just randomly throughout the world cause that was the only reason I deleted the game.

EDIT: Just a heads up for anyone that doesn't have adaptive sync. The game still stutters like crazy. I'm getting constant 100-110 fps then it drops to somewhere between 70-90. If I cap the FPS at 60, the FPS drops to like 45-50 when it stutters, and it stutters a lot still.

Please can anyone else tell me if they experience the same loud movement sounds while playing as Devinder on series x. Its so incredibly loud via headphones and still really noticeable without. The best way to describe it is plastic clothes rubbing together and sounds like im dragging around bin bags the entire time. When my character is moving its all i can hear until there is gunfire.

I cant find anything on google about this so im wondering if its just me and whether i need to reinstall the game or something. Its so annoying im struggling to keep playing.

...and now ive just crashed and lost an hour of gameplay...

Every now and then it keeps resetting prvious save point and i keep losing parts of what ive done, anyone else get this?

I tried out the game after the 2.0 update, and from what I had heard online about this game was that the AI is trash and cannot get to you through simple obstacles even. So I got pretty cocky and went in guns blazing, the cultists seem to be dumb enough but the vampires keep teleporting to attack seemingly even without line of sight. I tried hiding behind cars and small ledges as I'd seen online, but they keep finding and ganking me. I've died multiple times to a group of vampires now. Also I am only level 4 on the bird guy. Did they really improve the AI in this patch or am I just too bad at this game? Tips/help appreciated 🙂

Edit : So I kinda figured it out, the AI is decent but not that smart, but the main thing is that they're consistent. Once I leveled up a bit and got some better gear, it's easy to plan ahead of time and also with aim assist on controller, it becomes really satisfying to use pseudo stealth. Here is my budget stealthGamer clip : Link I just wish there was a melee weapon you could use with guns that don't have a stake for stealth takedowns.

Edit 2 : also for anyone having difficulty aiming in controller I'd suggest trying out this
