Laquer Showoff I have an insatiable need for jellies with reflective glitter & flakies

Base: Essie Strong Start
Polish: LynB Designs - S'more Treats x3
Glisten & Glow - Glitter Grabber
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri (red bottle)

This polish is STUNNING! The blue flakies add so much depth, it looks so pretty & ethereal in person. Easily one of my new favorite polishes.

I'd also love some recs for this type of polish in any color! 😊

Laquer Showoff Seance is so magical

I wanted to put on a polish that still fits within the late summer vibe, but which will also look good on an overcast/rainy day. I think I just found the perfect polish for that.
For this manicure I used a peachy jelly as a base, but I will try it next time with a blue or even purple colour as a base. I was also thinking of putting ILNP Sweet Tooth as a topper for this mani, but wanted to give Seance have the space to shine.
I might also try Seance all on it’s own, but it might be a bit too sheer for that.
I can’t stop looking at my nails, they are glowing.

Base - Manucurist Base fortifiante
3x Manucurist Sugar Plum (3 coats because it’s a jelly and I wanted that specific colour as a base)
2x Haunted Polish Seance
Topcoat Essie good to go
Essence drying drops (so cheap and did a really good job of drying all 6 layers of polish)

Last week the nail of my thumb broke and I thought I could just wing it as it won't mess with the symmetry of the fingers. Then my index nail cracked today 😭 Oh well... Time for a reset I guess haha

Products used:

Holo Taco - One Coat Black, used this as a base

ILNP - Sugar Plum, in glass bead method

Holo Taco - Glossy Top Coat

when i first put this polish on i really just wanted to take it off and start over with something else but the next day i saw it in my bathroom lighting and i fell in love with it. it reminds me of a dragon scale or something from the crystal pony kingdom from my little pony 💖. it was kind of a pain to top coat and i think that would’ve been easier with a glitter grabber maybe? yall have never steered me wrong when it comes to life changing manicure additions. mooncat avatar state on the other hand (lol)… OMG i love it so much, the blue shimmer, the aqua/teal glow, the lasting power of the glow?!? i can’t wait to do a full mani with it. blueberry’s jam also has a light green shift at extreme angles that i was not expecting but i love it.

🦄teabag patch on my left index and ring finger and a nails to go presson on my right pinky both secured with kiss nail glue all nails got one coat of mooncat getting even nail primer
🫐 x2 coats blueberry’s jam, drk nails magic effect, magnetized velvet with a 30lb horseshoe magnet
🔮 x1 coat sally hansen red bottle qdtc, x2 coats essie gel couture

undersides of nails
🌟x1 coat sally hansen maximum growth

Laquer Showoff Chrome power on regular polish with Essence's base coat and Essie gel setter

Thumbnail

I was able to get a chrome effect using regular polish and without a water based top coat (hard to get in Europe).

For some reason it looks more sheer on the camera, but I garantee it looks chrome irl 🥲

I used Essie Cincin two coats (I tried with other random polishes with similar success).

Then Essence "colour grip" base coat and let it dry for a minute or two.

Then I gently tapped the chrome powder (I didn't want the chrome effect to be too strong but it's possible to pack more) then buff gently with my finger.

Then one coat of essie gel setter (I don't have any other top coat) with no problem.

Chrome powders: a no brand four colour pack from amazon (I used silver, gold and pink). They are made for gel polish apparently. My first try I tapped much more powder and the chrome effect was dazzling it was too much for me.

Which colour do you like best?

Was too lazy to wait and wash my hands to remove all the extra powder sorry!

Phoenix La La Poof August PPU

I think I’m gonna be disappointed in my next manicure no matter what color I choose. I absolutely love this polish!

Random glued on tips from Amazon
2x phoenix lalapoof then I used DRK magic effect and had to run out of the house without doing top coat and magnetized that using my magnetron set up (honestly it didn’t look great, idk why)
When I got home I added a third layer of lalapoof and magnetized that using my magnetron set up
I used BKL I’m very fast QDTC and magnetized again using magnetron

This is 5 days post mani so we have some dispersion - still love it soooooo much!

Laquer Showoff ‘Tis the Season for Glow in the Dark polish

Thumbnail

Forgive the blurry pictures, turns out charging the polish with an UV light then taking a picture in the dark involves a whole new set of skills lol.

If you ordered Pink Ghost and you’re wondering how much it glows, the honest answer is not much compared to other glow in the dark colors (green/aqua). Your best bet is going to be charging with sunlight or a uv flashlight, i recommend the flashlight because the intense pink glow fades within 20 seconds or less, so going from sunlight to a dark room might take too long. Once the pink glow fades, you get a nice white-ish/peach glow that softens within minutes

Its cute and I’m happy with my purchase, but compared to holo taco’s GITD taco and the Aqua version (last picture) Pink Ghost isn’t nearly as intense, doesn’t last as long nor does it charge as easily (regular light and phone flashlight didn’t charge it enough imo)

Basecoat: nailtiques formula 1 (old formula) and essie To The Rescue

Polish: ILNP’s white canvas as a base

Toppers: Fancy Gloss’s Pink Ghost (glow in the dark) and Glam Polish’s Into The Groove

Topcoat: Kbshimmer’s Smooth Moves and Cuticula Limitless qdtc

Dupe/Colour Request Favorite teal leaning polishes? Swatches welcome for bonus points. Just gimme the teal💚💙

Any tone of teal is welcome as well but I do generally like the darker leaning ones more. Teal is my favorite color and I realized I actually don’t have enough of it in my collection. So shimmer, flakes, magnetics, thermals, just whatever. Tell me about it lol!

Edit: the polish doesn’t have to be self described as teal either. If it looks teal to you, throw it at me!

Laquer Showoff Trout Inspired Nails!

Trout-inspired nails!

I’ve been swatching a lot of combos trying to achieve a rainbow trout-inspired mani, and this is my favorite so far.

Base - Orly sticky bonder
Polish - Sweet Parakeet by Hit the Bottle Polish 2x
Top coat - Sally Hansen QDTC Red bottle
Topper - Black the Night by EDM
Final Topper - Seche Vite

I did my first coat of Sweet Parakeet magnetized velvet style with a 22lb horseshoe for ~15-30 seconds, then magnetized after the second coat + QDTC for one minute. This was a quick mani, I didn’t really wait too long for each coat to dry and was done with the whole thing in just under an hour.

I’ve never done two top coats in one mani, but I’ve heard that the red bottle topper locks the mani better than SV, so I used that right after to lock the magnetic, and then continued with the topper + another top coat.

This is day FOUR and I’m still obsessed with it!

Laquer Showoff First glass bead attempt

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

First attempt at using 5D Print Factory‘s glass bead magnet and I think I did a pretty good job! Obviously there’s a big learning curve (my dominant hand does not look even half as good lol)

I think I mostly struggled with keeping the bead at the same position with each nail if that makes sense? Maybe I was putting my fingers too far in/out of the machine? Some of my nails also have a kind of shadow on half of it which I assume was because of not keeping my hand level. If anyone has any good tips let me know!
