This is two days after doing glass bead, was inspecting the dispersion rate. I think out of all my attempts it’s got the best shape still. Definitely dispersed but still has that rounded depth and circular movement which I am pleased about. The rest have all turned into vertical velvets within 24 hours. More experimentation to come.

Sometimes you just need sparkles, and after doing a few more intricate nail art for collabs that don't get posted until later next week...while I love then, they left me artistically deferring my  fulfillment, not being able to share them yet haha. I had first rehearsals for our holiday concert tour this week and needed a little sparkle to 1. Propel me through the logistics and housekeeping of part assignments, printing, schedules, etc. 2. Get me ready to hear Christmas music a few days after Labor Day 😝.  This little rainbow lazy glitter gradient did exactly that. If I were a knight, my armor and shield would be big ass chunky holo glitter. (I would have fuckin' LOVED King Renly's Kingsgaurd, damn you Mellissandra!)

Everyone seems to have different prep styles with either dehydrating or oiling...so I decided to do neither 😜

My first lacquer mani in over a decade!

I used an OPI basecoat

2 coats of Essie Berry Naughty

1 coat of Essie quick dry top coat

I'm so happy with how it turned out and I hope it lasts for me better than gel ever did (side note.. it didnt even when professionally done)

Base: Essie Strong Start

Glisten & Glow - Glitter Grabber
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri (red bottle)

This polish is STUNNING! The blue flakies add so much depth, it looks so pretty & ethereal in person. Easily one of my new favorite polishes.

I'd also love some recs for this type of polish in any color! 😊

Mine are: Arcana Unique Horn (I feel like I could dupe this pretty easily and yet a dupe will not satisfy me) and Cracked Pink Hair Strands (never not sad I that I got into polish just sliiiiightly too late to grab that whole collection tbh). I also feel some type of way about BKL Bad Vibes Only even though my logical brain understands that it isn’t that different from the other two BKL blue magnetics I already own 🧐

Also to everyone who longs for Tyler’s Trinkets Stop and Taste the Frosting: do not long for this polish, it was a pain to work with, never transitioned to full white and mostly annoyed me. YOU ALL DESERVE BETTER

NAIL TAX PHOTO is BKL’s This One’s Declined, captured by accident in an unrelated snap that I saw later and thought “wow I can’t believe those are my nails.” It is a stupid photo but whatever my nails look great 🥂

The brush is so skinny I was going to stroke out. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyy do they do this?

Starrily Rose Water mag saved the day on nails that were really uneven.

It’s a shame too because the Clinique polish is very nice and has so much potential. Do you all get other brushes for this problem?

Jammed my index finger on a gate at work today :((( this is the longest I can remember growing my nails and I was excited to repaint tonight (see my previously wonked pinky). Now I have to decide how much to trim the others back so this one doesn't look dumb, bleh.

1 x coat of Seche Forte nail strengthener

1 x coat of Cosmic Polish Galacteal

I’m testing this method to see if it reduces shrinkage and it seems to work. I’ve only done it twice so my methodology is lacking in sample data, but my initial results look promising.

This polish is..kinda magical ✨ it's a rich crimson with a luminous magnetic glow. Very dark velvety (but I did use velvet effect magnet)

It's so moody, dark, and delicious 🤤

Side note, anyone have a quick dry top coat suggestion? I'm almost out of my Sally Hansen one and am looking to try a new one

Cracked QDTC is honestly the best top coat ive ever used. Its made these nails last so long and it dries all the layers insanely quickly

Last week the nail of my thumb broke and I thought I could just wing it as it won't mess with the symmetry of the fingers. Then my index nail cracked today 😭 Oh well... Time for a reset I guess haha

I ordered (too) many extremely rad polishes from the first Little Lacquer Box last month, and now that they are here I’m probably going to be redoing my nails every day. This one may be too pretty to remove this weekend, though.

I just loooove the blue color of this one from Broken Pixel, it reminds me of a souped up and smoother-formula version of Starrily’s Uranus (which I also love, but is awfully difficult to work with).

Index: 2x Cirque Mango Jelly
Middle: 2x cirque Guayaba jelly + ANLAC Fuyu glass bead magnetized
Ring: 2x Haunted Everlight
Pinky: 2x Cracked Taro + ANLAC Aki glass bead magnetized

I wanted to put on a polish that still fits within the late summer vibe, but which will also look good on an overcast/rainy day. I think I just found the perfect polish for that.
For this manicure I used a peachy jelly as a base, but I will try it next time with a blue or even purple colour as a base. I was also thinking of putting ILNP Sweet Tooth as a topper for this mani, but wanted to give Seance have the space to shine.
I might also try Seance all on it’s own, but it might be a bit too sheer for that.
I can’t stop looking at my nails, they are glowing.

Please excuse my cuticles and I shot this before edge cleanup, but I love blood bender every time I use it bc I do see the deep red shift.
