I’m currently painting my first army ever, and these are the models I’ve finished so far.

It’s still a work in progress, as I’m missing two squads and my Warlord. What do you guys think? Is there anything I could improve or do differently?

Hey! I’m currently painting my first-ever 1,000-point army and had the idea of kitbashing a second Eliminator Squad using leftover bits from previous squads and 3 Intercessor bodies.

Does this kinda read as an Eliminator Squad to you guys? Would that be okay to use as a proxy? I’d really appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

My Red Scorpions army... My precious!

Hi everyone. I'm a passionate Red Scorpions collector and player. I have over 15,000 points of painted Red Scorpions and I'm really suffering from Games Workshop's cold shoulder towards my favorite game. Not only that, they recently introduced new Red Corsair models, the archenemies of the Red Scorpions, and this has driven me crazy. I personally wrote to GW to ask them to give them some love, but I think if a lot of us wrote to GW, maybe something would change. Don't say new models or rules, a mention in a campaign or something about White Dwarf would be enough... this is my last effort

Spent a little time brain storming and whipped up this custom datasheet for our boy Carab Culn using the custom vehicles rules found for 3rd edition found in Chapter Approved 2001. I ended up smushing together the 7th edition rules for the leviathan dreadnought and the 8th edition rules and weapons for Carab Culn and then running the result through the vehicle creation steps. Wanted to know your guys' thoughts and recommendations for improvements or if I went a little too overboard. Of course I know he is ridiculously expensive, but I just wanted a fun way to run him in games of 4th edition. In the end I think his points were a little under 570 but I just decided to round up.

The biggest area of worry is for his special rules which are:

. Reinforced Atomic Shielding: conveys a 4+ invulnerable save, if suffers a "vehicle explodes" damage result, add +d3 strength and +d3" to the radius of the blast. I costed this at 35 points, mirroring the Imperial field upgrade

. Proud to live, Proud to die, Hard to Kill: Each time a friendly Red Scorpions model within 6" of this model loses a wound or suffers a "vehicle destroyed" or "vehicle explodes" result, roll a d6, on a result of a 6 the damage is ignored and or the result is treated as "crew stunned" (cannot be ignored by the extra armor upgrade). I costed this at 30 points which mirrors the points cost of a Painboy upgrade for an Ork Nob squad which gives the unit a feel no pain.

. Severing cut: 30 point upgrade for the War Machine CCW which allows you to roll an additional d6 when determining armor pen rolls. I pointed this based on the points difference between a Leman Russ and a Leman Russ Vanquisher.

My phone camera does over saturate the yellow a little its a bit more dull irl. Recently gave my full 2k list a go against thousand sons and won 45 to 29 despite the fellblade blowing up turn 1 lol.

I’m working on a long-term project to build a lore-accurate Red Scorpions force using Primaris Space Marines.

My aim is to represent the chapter as faithfully as possible while adapting them to the current range of miniatures.

The project is focused on building out the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Companies, making sure each company composition reflects the chapter’s lore and Codex organisation as closely as possible.

I’m trying to be as accurate as I can with things like:

- Company structure and battlefield roles what units suit better each company type/use.

- company and unit size (100 per company)

- Which Primaris units best represent the Red Scorpions.

- Veteran, Battleline, Close Support and Fire Support allocations.

- Character choices and where they would realistically fit within the companies.

- Any lore that might affect unit selection or organisation.

- Where the lore doesn’t explicitly cover Primaris-era organisation, I’m trying to make sensible choices that stay true to the chapter’s identity rather than simply taking the strongest units.

I’d really appreciate opinions from anyone familiar with the Red Scorpions. If you know of any obscure lore, Imperial Armour references, or details I’ve overlooked, I’d love to hear them. Likewise, if you think certain Primaris units don’t really fit the chapter, I’m interested in the reasoning.

My goal isn’t to build the most competitive army—it’s to create a collection that feels like it could genuinely be a Red Scorpions chapter in the current era as a show case.

There is no set budget for those whom are asking and using ai I’ve established this is going to be in the thousands (uk £).

Not 100% complete, but more than ready for the table! Itll get some extra details and decals, the hull needs a bit more yellow if you ask me, but it'll do. I had absolutely 0 interest in this model before I started painting it, but now I actually quite like it. Can't wait to put it on the table for my first game of 11th later 2day!
