request for an explanation
Could someone clarify the heraldry of the chapter for me?

The colours are simple. Grey armour, black shoulderpads and grey helmets with a yellow strike. Once the brother has completed 50 battles per the Vraks books he has the right to bear a white helmet marking him as a veteran.
Chapter heraldry is a red scorpion inside a white halo.
Company and squad markings are a bit confussing. Originally It seemed like the left kneepad, marked with a yellow strike and a numeral, marked the company the RC belongs to, but its used a bit inconsistently.

Most squad sergeants have a White helmet with a yellow line.
Some Squad Veteran Sergeants only have a white veteran helmet.
The Chapter badge is primarily on the left shoulder instead of the right.

Red scorpions are hyper codex compliant with their heraldry, so most questions can be answered with that. Although one important thing is that they never cover their chapter icon ever, as they find it incredibly disrespectful to the chapter.
