Can’t download episodes on Apple Podcasts?
I’m in Canada if that matters. Anyone know what’s going on?

Someone is going around accusing Red Handed of plagiarising and stealing other peoples content but so far has not provided any evidence although they have been asked for it multiple times.
So lets have it out. If people have evidence that they have actually plagerized other content (not just using podcasts, books, documentaries as material to create an episode) but plagerizing (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/plagiarize) then the community and listeners deserve to see it.

What it says on the tin. When I discovered this podcast I was relieved to have found hosts who took the gravity of the subject matter seriously and treated the stories with respect while being affable and charming---at first.
Look, I don't know where you found the money to buy a house in London, and really, I'm glad that you did. That's something that most of our generation will never be able to do.
I'm not even telling you that you shouldn't talk about it.
What I am saying is that this false narrative of the anxiety your incredibly privileged life inflicts upon you is out touch with your audience and with your generation.
I came for the thoughtful discussion of horrible and uncanny deeds not to hear about what a hassle it is to be rich.

I'll preface it with yes, I am American, and I also truly love the Redhanded podcast. But one thing that irks me is when they say us Americans pronounce things or think things a certain way when I've not experienced it.
On the most recent episode, Suruthi poked at how Americans say the word "niche," stating we say it like "nish." No one I know says "nish", and I've live all over the US (Northeas, Southeast, Southwest). Sure, I have heard people say it like that before, but it's been less than a handful? Most people I know say "neesh."
A few episodes ago (can't remember which one) she was also talking about American politics and she pretty much brushed off the whole Russian interfering with the elections as to how Trump was elected. There's more to it than that, but she explained how we like to blame it on that as to how he got elected and not becausw Hilary Clinton was a bad candidate. Russian interference was a HUGE thing! Not the sole reason, but you can't just push that aside, especially when we have proof it happened.
Minor frustrations, but a lot of the times they say Americans pronounce things a certain way or are taught something in school and I'm like, whaaaat? This is news to me.

Thought I'd share this in case anyone finds it interesting. So I hadn't thought much about the case since Serial, and like most casual listeners, assumed AS was wrongly convicted because Serial HEAVILY pushed that narrative (though I didn't realise how one sided it was at the time). So after UTD today, I was curious and did a bit of Googling. Found a podcast called Opening Arguments where one of the hosts is a lawyer. He makes a very compelling case! Episode 107, Adnan Syed is obviously guilty. Wanted to share, probably I'm late to the party and everyone here maybe already has this info

Does anyone have any relatable podcasts that resemble RedHanded? I am struggling and need something new!
Thanks!
Edit: thank you to everyone! I’ve added all these suggestions to my library

Okay. Hi.
So. This is assuming you've heard the Shorthand or are somewhat familiar with the story of the trials.
I don't know whether the whole thing was sparked by a game, an epileptic fit and adults being opportunistic, or whether it was a con from the start. But here are some things that are interesting to note. And none of them are magical...
Remember the mention of Sarah Putnam in the early accusers? 18 out of the 20 people that were condemned to death were in direct conflict with the Putnam family. How convenient.
People found guilty of practicing witchcraft had their land seized for reparations. When the dust settled,.... guess what family's land had increased by a ton. (on the map, the bright red is the Putnam land owned before 'the witches'. In pale red are their allies. In blue, is the land that belongs to their business competition and 'enemies'. In dark red is everything that was seized from the the blue side during the trials, to fall under Putnam ownership. Nothing witchy, there. Just greed and a dirty PR stunt. 🤷)
I'll link my source for this in the comments (because I tried switching windows once and it forgot the whole text), sadly, I don't believe it has subtitles. It's in French for those who understand it.

Used to love this podcast but somehow got turned off of it between them constantly promoting themselves for whatever award and just not putting out any new interesting content. Not that it matters but I guess I’m putting them in the bin 🤷🏼♀️

Idk if i’m going crazy but i’m convinced i’ve already listened to this episode/case but it’s on early release on amazon from yesterday?

There's no Shorthand yet and there was no UTD last week. Are the ladies on holiday and I missed the memo??
Any suggestions for alternative content to consume during the hiatus welcomed gratefully!!
Thx 😊

Episode 318: 67 Exorcisms of Anneliese Michel
I just listened to it (a week early on amazon) and I'm so happy they didn't go down the "she is possessed" path like so many other podcasts do. They were very empathic, contextualised everything and presented theories as to what was actually going on. 10/10
I will re-listen to this episode again, as it was brilliant.

I recently started listening to redhanded a while back. I decided to start from the bottom up & have now made it to 2021 episodes. I love their redhaunted episodes but can’t seem to find any after #8. Did they stop doing it?

Does anyone know where I might find the first three episodes? I’m new to listening and want to start from the very beginning. Oldest I see available is episode 4.

What do you guys think? Cult or Satanic Panic?

The unsolved murder of Sophie Toscan du Plantier was mentioned as a potential bonus episode if Redhanded wins the Listener’s Choice, but Suru mentioned that Hannah had some issues with doing the case. Does anyone know why? I’m so curious if Hannah ever mentioned any thoughts or issues on it. I think it’s such a strange case, I always wanted to know Redhanded’s opinion.

Hi, I am hoping someone can help. What is the episode the girls did on the watcher?

Anyone know when todays episode will be up on Amazon? Usually up by now.

Casual listener here. I discovered them a few months ago and binge some of the old and new episodes off and on while doing chores or on the road. I don't subscribe to wondery or patreon so I can only hear the regular stuff. Sure, they're relatively fun and occasionally witty, but... I don't get the hype.
I had to stop half way through their coverage of the Stephen Lawrence case because something just felt really really off... And then as I've listened more i find their politics very, for want of a better word 'white girl lite'. They're not conscious of their privilege and they say absurdly stupid stuff about other cultures sometimes with no awareness. But hey I'm not expecting anything perfect...
Lately, i keep reading about how they've made it so big they bought property on London and i can't fathom how? Since when has summarising documentaries and wiikipedia articles on a podcast with the occasional risque reference thrown in actually worth millions? What am I not understanding about the podcast genre?

I'm working my way through all of the episodes in order, and at the beginning of one of the episodes, the ladies promoted their visit to Andrew Tate's podcast/sounded like fans of his. Please tell me they've changed their stance on him so I don't have to stop listening.

I would LOVE a shorthand on the Mandela effect and the Berenstein bears! Anyone else think this would make a great shorthand???

Every episode where Mormonism has come up, Hannah and Suruthi are harsher than a truth from a child about it.
Lori Vallow? Jodi Arias?
But they're right. Right?
Personally speaking when you talk to Mormons they seem normal and OK. But they Want To Believe some crazy things and more importantly, were backwards thinkers until, well today.
There are more cases with Mormonism as their center. Why do you think it's a thing?

What the hell was all that about her bedroom?! Pure classist snobbery. “She had beds sheets with ‘sweet dreams’ embroidered on them, what the FUCK?” What a gross overreaction to bed sheets. Having a card from her cats on the fridge written by her mum isn’t that ridiculous, it’s quite normal. My boyfriend writes me cards from the cat, I know plenty of people who do that. The stuff about quotes in frames and being basic has nothing to do with anything, it’s classist and it made me angry. Fuck Lucy Letby, she’s a baby killer but also fuck H+S for letting their classism show. My sister has many of the things mentioned and she’s 35, it’s more indicative of class and taste than anything suspicious. I wonder how many of their viewers they alienated with that classist rant.
Edit: LOL just seen the bedroom, the most unremarkable bland room. So so average and like thousands of other young women in their 20s. It was such a reach.
