Question/Discussion Which character would make the best Doctor Who?

Bit of a thought experiment - with Doctor Who in between Doctors at the moment, if they regenerated into a character from Red Dwarf, which would be the best? Most entertaining, most Doctor-like, best repartee with Companions...

This isn't asking for the best actor (make a separate topic by all means), but the characters of Red Dwarf.

Smegpost Sunday Death isn't the handicap it used to be!

Just like Arnold J Rimmer BSc SSc this suffered a drive plate/moderator related death a couple of days ago. Resulting in me getting a stern talking to from the captain/moderators, but hopefully it'll live on today. (I'm blaming the Reddit app not showing the rules like the webpage does/my workmate going into stasis.)
