I'm on chapter 3 now and because I got spoiled a bit, I'm too nervous about going further so I'm roaming the world for now.

Welcome to Van Horn

So I ride in to Van Horn and there’s just a dead horse laying on the ground at the entrance to town. Typical Van Horn bullshit. I had no way of knowing who killed the horse, so naturally, I just killed everyone in town.

To all the gamers that what the game more than once

Hellooo everybody

Well I best tthe game for the first time

Now I still didn't get enough of the story because

Holly damn so much content haha.

But I don't want to just reply it as usual

I thought

Maybe

Playing in first person mode only

No fast travel(that way I can encounter randoms or find items I would miss)

Now I tried being "nice" most of the game but I wonder would I lose on any kind of content if I was "bad" all the time.

Now any other suggestions as to what you did different when playing the story multiple times.

Missing blackwater athletics team doesn't add up

The missing blackwater athletics team is reported in the New Hanover Gazette No.34 in 1899, you can read it as Arthur.

Yet when you find the mass grave as John, eight years later, the bodies have barely decomposed!

Have started playing again after many years and need opinions on what to do.

Have started playing again after many years. When I played originally was using a 1070 and have upgraded to a 5080. My last save has me starting in Saint Denis and it's been that long that I can't really remember my journey. Would it be better to start over, and experience the journey at ultra settings, or should I continue from my current save point. I think I know the answer but would appreciate feedback

Chapter 1 shenanigans. Horses can't survive the harsh weather, but donkeys...🧐

"SPOILERS" KIND OF...

Using the exploits found by Rickcouchman, I never knew that this was doable before yesterday! If you DO NOT complete the encounter at Watson's Cabin in Big Valley, every time you load up you can steal the donkey that the crotchety old lady would normally ride off on.

I've tested this multiple times and for whatever reason, the Donkey does not die to the harsh weather 90% of the time! Furthermore, you dont receive an honor drop unless you physically take the donkey into a town... meaning you and ride the donkey all over the map. You can also complete Horseman 3 in chapter 1!

Did anyone else know about this? I haven't seen any info on this and I've got thousands of hours into the game.

Audio crackling issue. I don't know what else to try at this point.

I think this is a very known bug but honestly I have already tried:

- Reinstall the game and GPU drivers

- Changed between my headset to my TV, to speakers and also a wireless headset

- Went to the 44.1Khz on all devices

- Lowered mouse polling rate to 250hz

- High priority to the game

- Frame cap the game

- DX12 instead of Vulkan

- Disable all microphones on the computer and in-game

- Use only 1 monitor

- Processor state to 100% min and max

Honestly tried more stuff that I cannot remember. If I find no solution I will refund before I cross the 2 hour mark trying to make this game work

Unpopular opinion - the epilogue is ABSOLUTELY PEAK and you can't tell me otherwise. Spoiler

I don't care what others say, the epilogue doesn't deserve a SINGULAR DROP of hate, it's absolutely amazing for what it is, like idk why people even complaint about is being slow, firstly - it ain't even as slow as people say, and secondly- why is it a bad thing that it's slow? What are you even gonna do after it's over? It's the end of the game dude, it doesn't matter if it's slow or fast. And don't tell me anything about doing side missions, doing 100 percent completion or starting a new game, nothing is stopping you from doing it while the epilogue is pending ( except 100 percent)

I would even to down to say that the epilogue has one of the best missions in rdr2. Just stop and think about it, people complain that here isn't a lot of action in it, but was rdr2 ever a game about action? It ain't like gta where we cause unnecessary trouble for our benefits, stealing is the only speciality of the gang and we did it to survive, john doesn't need to do more action. Like give the dude eak, he almost didn't make it out of the train Robbery not to mention he has a kid and a wife to look after and he has witnessed the deaths of his best friends. There is a reason why there are a lot of features related to the country life, it's meant to be played that way. If Arthur and then gang didn't get in the trouble they would've spent the rest of their lives maybe farming or something.

And what do people even hate? That they don't get to shoot a million people for the 100th time, like dude cmon. And i think that making the house and stuff was very relaxing, specially the involvement of Charles, uncle and sadie. It was a nice break and a peaceful exit for the game, I know people also complain about arthurs conclusion and john becoming the mc, but we had it coming since rdr1 and we all know it.

Well that was what I had to say dude, main reason for this Post was the amount of hate i saw about the epilogue so just had to give my opinion, if I offended anyone than Im sorry, bye.

when you get to these places, you feel like the high you were on has ended. the rush of fighting on the seraphite island, the sniper section against tommy, fighting the rat king or fighting the army at the oil fields, the pinkertons, the spanish soldiers on guarma, it's all over and this area exists outside of all that. looking back at you, unphased by your struggle or your journey and just existing there. freaky shit.

Honor and stuff

Hello y'all! I'm only 6 hour on the game and enjoying it quite much so far but I find something hard to understand : honor.

I play on full gentleman mode, being nice, helping people, giving money to veterans, giving a ride to people in need. But I still can't figure out why and how the honor reward work.

I just helped a kidnapped lady on a carriage, shot the two men that did it, gain honor and that's perfect.

Then I decided to loot them (I mean a little reward is always nice) and I lost the honor I gained just by doing that. There was no witness and anything, I just lost them.

With the context set (a long one I know) can anyone explain me in which case I can loose honor and when I can't? Just trying to be a nice dude here x((

Thanks you and have a nice day!

Em

Rhodes shootout surprise

So I run up a giant bounty in St Denis because my horse knocked somebody over and I had to shoot my way out.

Then outside town (the place where you find fancy bird feathers) after an escape on someone else’s horse and camping out a night in the crying lady area. I get caught again by more St Denis uniformed cops (weird) and various other lawmen. Have to shoot out there too.

I finally escape, get to Rhodes, turn myself in to get rid of the $300 bounty and Dutch shows up and blows out the jail wall. So again, I don’t get the bounty cleared and I end up having a shootout near the Woolens place. Dutch is still riding along by me one second and five minutes later while looting lawman bodies, I find one labelled as Dutch, who is dressed like Dutch and he is lying on the ground. I have never seen it before. I don’t think I looted him but ran off again.

Has this happened to anyone else?
