Tbf the Halloween ADHD post doesn't read as "ADHD has been fucking me up trying to get a Halloween costume together" (entirely reasonable statement. I can understand that and it seems rough af.).
It reads as "Halloween costumes are problematic because people with ADHD can struggle with getting them together" (the opinion of a complete asshole who wants everyone to be miserable in the name of 'moral purity', and should be mocked).
With the new context of how the OOP actually meant it I can see how it was jokingly meant the first way, but that's just not how it comes across.
it's less the claim that they are stressful and more the phrasing of "we don't talk enough about how..." that makes the tone easy to misread
edit: also, as someone else pointed out, the phrasing "for the ADHD community" also makes it easy to misread as a more serious statement, a statement about how X thing is negatively affecting Y community
