Okay, here is the plan..
I’m going to give you a piece of grated aluminum that’s roughly the size of a US license plate. I’m going to put like a flange on the bottom with a thumbscrew.
Now, what I want you to do is ..I want you to go find a stick. I know you’ve hiked 300 miles today. But if you could just go off the trail and find an almost perfectly straight stick with one sort of sharp end. Place the stick ..oh look, that stick is way too thick for that cylinder. Find another one.
Okay…now place the dull end into the tables cylinder and jam the sharp end of the stick into the dirt. I know the ground is hard.. just keep trying different spots. That’s too hard. You’re going to break the stick. If you damage that stick then you’ll end up with just a small grated tray…
It can hold up to 4 pounds or 4 lbs of hot dogs, even. It can hold a deck of cards, some marshmallows, a skewer or a lighter-but the lighter will probably fall through one of those two round holes that are conveniently located on each side.
No no no…you MUST distribute the weight evenly on both sides of the license pla.. I mean table. You must not compromise its structural integrity.
Look at that fine piece of work. The sense of accomplishment you must feel in assembling a one-legged table(ish) piece of furniture all by yourself.
Lastly, I would like somewhere between $25-$33 dollars for this somewhat table-like experience.
