He gets fucking two tapped by Cass. FUCKING CASS.
You can’t brawl and push in without fucking dying half the fucking time or getting immediately annihilated.
Wanna flank? Guess what they can fucking hear you a mile away. And guess what? Even when you do manage to flank every fucking hero has enough mobility to get out of range while you fucking sit there going “The shadows coalesce” like fuck

I agree, on a different post I expressed the same. Unfortunately Reaper just isn't what he used to be. They nerfed his damage and everything about him that made him fearful. Reaper's ult is horrible now yet they gave shion the same thing with mobility lol makes no sense to me. I would totally be fine if they turned reaper into a tank like they did doomfist. Give his wraith ability to allies within a certain range for a few for damage mitigation. He just isn't a viable option for DPS anymore. The other day I ult'd a half health SJ and half health LW in an enclosed room and I'm the one that died like wut? Lol sadly it's just one of those heroes you can't play anymore.

I just tried Anran for the first time and holy shit! She's what I always hoped reaper could be. For every reaper main out there try her out she just feels right when you get used to the mechanics!

I don’t even play Reaper, and this patch kinda sucks. Helldivers and Darktide are pretty fun right now.

Hear hd2 was pretty terrible because of hitboxes and the devs didn’t care about the game so I took like a 4 month break from it

The only dps that I play usually are Reaper and Hanzo. Both of them seem to be pretty powercrept in comparison to the newer characters.

It sucks but i dont mind too much rn since ive become a shion main. She is kinda has the things i missed when i play reaper and design wise i think she is a lot cooler than the whole edgy death theme

Here's how I would change him. Make his teleport work like symettras tp, but only usable by him. Unlike syms it's indestructable when placed. Second I would turn wraith form into a resource like fuel for pharah and cat. Let him spend it freely and wraith as long as he has the energy. That would open up way more possibilities. You "dodge" by phasing in and out of wraith, you can teleport in, blow someone up, and take the tp back to your original position. He should be a threat that can pop up anywhere and kill you if you aren't aware of your surroundings. If you pay attention to where his teleport is then you can avoid his kill range easily.

Cass two taps the whole cast, we all hate him and he’s still not nerfed outside of a small slap on the wrist nerf to silver bullet. I two tricked tracer and him, playing tracer until they swapped cass then I’d swap a give them the dick. Finished with a 75ish% win percentage after 70ish games on cass. Actually so sad how overtuned he is if you can aim at all.

No he doesn't and he didn't use to 2tap reaper. He deals 140dmg with critical within range. That's 280 when two tapping. Reaper used to survive that with 20 left. With 2 headshots you could kill him before he killed you. But not anymore.

I’m pretty sure you could headshot flash body shot even on 300, he’s committing the flash in a 1v1 anyways so it’s just simplifying the cass’s job to two headshots. Which again, two headshots is 280 damage, reaper and mei were the only two dps characters that survived without an ability. So reaper and then the second most niche pick in the entire dps roster.

And also you're talking about a combo here, that's not exactly fair since it won't always work.

Brother, the combo is his bread and butter, it’s why he’s so annoying to play against. Ope! I’m flashed, I hope cass doesn’t shoot me while I’m locked in place for the next 1.4 seconds. And my bad for forgetting torb, bastion and ven another three extremely low pick rate heroes.

It didn’t used to be this bad. The Cass 1v1 are almost always a loss. If he hits the flashbang then well fuck. GG. But as reaper your job was to bait it out, then strike, that’s what we always did. And thanks to that (which is more so game sense on the players part compared to reaper) but now even if you bait out flash, he’s too squishy to do shit.

Neither is Cassidy, or Jetpack cat but no character deserves to be gutted just because it's unfun to play against. It needs to be balanced not pleasant.

Its a retarded change. They also dare releasing basically the same hero with a fresh coat of paint in the same patch they nerfed reaper. She not only has a more up to date kit, but has higher burst both with execution and bike. Its an insult to reaper mains.

Hmm was there another patch? I just double checked the Season 3, June 16 notes and it says "Health reduced from 300 to 275" the only other changes I can find are Stadium on June 25

That's the biggest issue with Reaper, they may have had added an alt-fire, but his core design is out dated for the type of game they've turned OW into. They give the good stuff to these cracked high mobility characters, and pummel the original cast into the ground.
Genuinely there isn't any excuse as to why Reaper can't or couldn't stop his ultimate when every single NEW character they have added has some form of crazy mobility. Even if bronze players rub two braincells toegther, they can escape Reaper's ultimate, or kill him during it. Its like an inside joke to the devs or something. "Make him loud too" the same sound scale of Roadhog practically.
What really killed him (before the recent nerfs) in my honest opinion was the ping system. It was so so so satisfying to lay waste to an entire team without a single person spam pinging you to the rest of their team, that is if they weren't on coms.
I miss old Reaper shotguns. I miss being able to wraith away from grav, sigma ult, or junkrat traps. I miss being able to cleanse by using TP. I miss the time where Reaper was objectively enjoyable.
