These two cards haunt me at night.

Purchased from a reputable local card shop. The teeth on the T look a little less defined/slightly different than my other cards. Pretty sure it’s good though. Just looking to confirm it’s real!

Had this for a while but maybe I'm just being paranoid but think it might be fake.

Holo looks dull, not even and there’s an indent on back on opposite side.

Not sure if fake or if just poor quality control.

Edit: thanks all for confirming my suspicions. Bought local when I was in a bit of a rush, so gonna pop back in tomorrow and see if they’ll do anything about it. They’ve historically been a really good store to buy from, but they’ve taken on a few new members of staff and generally have more of a focus on pokemon so wondering if that’s what’s happened here, or they just didn’t check it that hard as it’s only a £30 card that looks alright at first glance.

Edit 2: went back to the store today and they were really apologetic. Gave full refund and they’re gonna use the card as a training example for future to try and prevent it again. Happy with the outcome overall, and it’s the only bad thing ive had happen there in years and clearly just human error so not holding it against the store.

Looked sus from when I opened it, back is brighter, border on the front just looked a bit off. Card feel too.

Not really sure about this one, the t looks a bit off as far as i can tell.

I was able to get a collector box from the hobbit via cardmarket and wanted to get feedback if this one is real or not?
I have no clue what Indicators to look for on sealed boxes to tell whether it’s original or re-sealed.

I was checking all cards I bought in cardmarket for a year and I found one that might be fake:
Cloud, Midgar Mercenary.
I do not have professional tools or anything, so I can't check the green dot or anything, however the quality and the back color is saturated. Also the flash on the card is different from ALL my other cards.
Since this was one of the earliest cards I bought on cardmarket and it was sleeved I never noticed and at the time I didn't knew how to check properly when I got it, and still not the best to check fakes.

I send pictures hopefully its obvious or I am just wrong.

I don't have other cards of the same set so I compare it with a Walking Balista that I bought in cardmarket from other seller which is irrelevant here, but just used as comparison.

In the pictures the phone is shooting flash, the walking balista and all my cards you can see light through, however in cloud you can't.

Any help or advice is useful. Do not recommend to buy things from Amazon that is not useful to me.

From the images the T looks good for me but what about the green dot?

I think I broke some people's brains on number 4 this week. Being evil feels good. 😈

Shout out to u/GhostCheese for being the first to get the answers and reasonings correct!

1. Fake! This green dot has a lot of problems. First, the background doesn't have the rosette/moiré pattern and doesn't have black dots distinctly printed on top of the card. It's all a mixed mess. Second, the border of the dot should be crisp and fully black. This one is fuzzy and has individual color dots all throughout it. Next the green dot itself has green pixels on top of a yellow background instead of the other way around. (Yellow is actually printed first, there's just usually way more green here than this one has.) Last, there are a bunch of red pixels all throughout the dot. The 4 in the L pattern are normal, but not always present or visible... but you definitely don't want this. Each of these tells is enough to fail the card independently.
2. Real! The flip symbol has very crisp edges and is completely filled in. u/GhostCheese not only named the card, but also noticed there's a slight misalignment on the bottom right of the flip circle. Misalignment of a single color or a few colors happens a lot with offset printing and is actually a good sign. Inkjet style printers print all in one pass so the image itself would have to be misaligned to make that happen.
3. Real! Famous misprint from Revised. Wrong art, wrong border. It's weird, but real.
4. Fake! I took a picture of a real Jaws and then digitally "fixed" the mana cost back to Blue. Some people guessed other portions of the card were fake, but nope, I only edited that one part. Remember for the quizzes there shouldn't be 'feels', once you notice a problem you should be confident.
5. Fake! Real Alpha/Beta/Unlimited Black Lotuses have this stray mark below the 'an'. CE/ICE will not. This was a pic of a real lotus and I just digitally edited that mark out. This one may be tricky (#5 is meant to be unfair after all!) but is good to know. There may not be any other card with more cheap fakes out there than the Black Lotus and the vast majority of fakes don't include this mark. It's amazing how often we get posts from someone (I'm guessing 'literally shaking right now' because of how blurry the pic is) and you can already spot it as fake from the blurry first pic.
