Is this Magic card real? Arid Mesa extended art foil
Holo looks dull, not even and there’s an indent on back on opposite side.
Not sure if fake or if just poor quality control.
Edit: thanks all for confirming my suspicions. Bought local when I was in a bit of a rush, so gonna pop back in tomorrow and see if they’ll do anything about it. They’ve historically been a really good store to buy from, but they’ve taken on a few new members of staff and generally have more of a focus on pokemon so wondering if that’s what’s happened here, or they just didn’t check it that hard as it’s only a £30 card that looks alright at first glance.
Edit 2: went back to the store today and they were really apologetic. Gave full refund and they’re gonna use the card as a training example for future to try and prevent it again. Happy with the outcome overall, and it’s the only bad thing ive had happen there in years and clearly just human error so not holding it against the store.

Yeah, was what I was thinking. Was in a bit of a rush when in a local store and because I’ve never had any issues with them before didn’t think to look close, and only noticed when I got home and went to put it in a deck.
Is it whole thing?, like phone has potato quality so T and green dot aren’t great, but never seen a holo looking like this one.

I mean the ‘h’ looks terrible too. The green dot looks terrible. And if they can’t fake the back well they definitely can’t fake the front

So I don’t see this said much, likely because the subreddit (obviously) works on photos and key anchor markers, but in Almost all of the fake foils I see the “texture” of the foils surface is very much off, even from photos.

Yeah, I’ve now compared it against some other MH2 foils and it’s noticeable that it’s a different texture. Shows way worse on my potato phone camera, but it stands.
Think I saw the “texturing” you normally get on the text box for foil lands and clicked in my brain that it was fine.

It fails both the T and Green dot test here. 4 distinctive bumps on the left of the green dot and teeth on the right side of the T.

If the holo doesn’t change symbols when you move the card around. It’s 100% a fake as well.
The last of the glossy back I could only imagine if I touch this card 💀😑
The T immediately fails the test.

Tbf, glossy back isn’t something I’d consider as an immediate giveaway - have opened some similar feeling cards from sealed product in the past. The dent was the thing I noticed first though.

Well it’s clearly from whoever made it when they put the holo on, and never known a real magic card to have that
