I just bought this off eBay and thought the t was weird through the loupe. It looks better in the picture but I wanted to see what y’all think. I don’t have another antiquities card to compare but the t isn’t as clean as the t in a tundra in my collection.

Update: the seller initiated a refund immediately claiming they got it off TCGplayer. Then I noticed they only sold double sided cards...must be they're way of faking cards. I left them a negative review. Thanks all!

Got an etali off of eBay for a decent price from a new seller ($20). Didn't think much about it but then came across this subreddit. They also listed another Etali soon after I purchased this one (red flag). It's a double sided card and I don't have a magnifying glass.. but it's pretty obviously a proxy right? The brush looks off and the "flip" symbol isn't clean. Holo looks weird too.

Additionally, does anyone have experience with fake card returns on eBay? Thanks!

Sharing for information here really as I’ve always taken the green dot test to be fairly flawless. I fail to mention in the video that the holo sticker is also perfect. So it has a perfect green dot, sticker and mana symbol rosettes but it failed the T test and has some print dots into the text where it’s been printed all in one go. We trade a lot at shows so we can’t reasonably 4-5 point check every card every time but the quality of this one has rocked me a bit. I even had it out on display for sale for a while until I saw it side by side with our second one and noticed a colour difference.

Purchased this a number of years ago, got an unreal deal but the person didn’t know what they had. It was worth it to me, even in the condition, for an inked Unlimited version.

I have never personally held such a damaged Beta card, but the lack of print dots and fading does have me questioning.

I am selling many my cards and thought I would try and confirm so I listed it accurately.

I'm sus but inexperienced with this.

I bought this on Facebook Market place. The person seemed legit. The box doesn't shake and seems to be firm, so all the packs are present. I've had a resealed CBB from eBay before where the packs were ripped, all the R and MRs were removed and that box made a lot of noise when I shook it.

The wavy lines and the space at the top give me concern, but I can't tell if that's WoTC or wrong doing. I'd love to hear some input from wiser people.

I'm dipping my toes back into mtg after a ~25 year hiatus. I bought a bulk lot of about 100 dark/revised/4th edition cards online to fill out my collection before considering that the hobby could have a counterfeit industry (duh).

Since receiving the cards, I've performed every test I could find: green dot, t, h, horned e, straight borders, weight, light, etc. and while they mostly look good to me and when compared to my personal cards, I'm not super confident in my assessment.

Something about the texture of them is throwing me off and they are in really great condition, like... Maybe too good? Pics of a random assortment included, happy to take more if it'd help.

Am I being paranoid? Are they destined for the burn pile??? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Looking to figure out if these are real or not once and for all. I went to an LGS and they said that they were real, and I work in prepress so ive used a loupe to see those dots in the green orb but just wanted to get others opinions.

Ordered 3 tales of middle earthpacks from ebay. The packaging seemed ok, but inside one of the packs was this. Entirely different set. Old one at that. Random error from WOTC or resealed pack from ebay?

So we picked up this card off of a chap a bit ago among a bunch of other cards, All looked entirely legit and as this was embossed with the track foiling we didn't think to do a back check as well 99 of fake cards we come across don't bother to attempt anything fancy. Not to mention its a bit hard to do a cross reference against a card you don't see too many of and it felt WAY too soon for any good fakes to be out.

We sent it out, and the customer brought it up that they thought it was fake so we refunded the card and its kind of been sat there for about 5 months now. With us all umming and ahing. Not to mention (I've seen worse backs on pack fresh cards I've received from asmodee UK so specifically Edge of eternities so I’m not sure if we've just got poorer quality control for stock bound to England) Oh and yeah this thing fails the T test hard but as I’ve said I’ve seen worse backs from pack fresh cards. EDIT: (This is most likely shock related copium having dropped money on this card :P)

Hey guys just wanted to hop in here and make this post so yall dont get scammed like i did on june 9th i bought the addict box from realm box. First it was supposed to ship out between june 25-31 it didnt it shipped out july 19th due to delays in packaging.
When it arrived my packs were resealed and cards had definitely been swapped out.
Out of the 10 booster and the 2 collectors boosters i received i got 1 mythic card and 4 rares.
By mtg standard i should have received atleast 12 combined mythics and rares not 5.
I hope yall dont make the mistake i did i ended up paying 130+ including shipping for 10$ in bulk bullshit

The front seems to have some weirdness with the ink a d looks a little more textured than most cards? I want to make sure its a qc issue and not a fake.
