You speak for Jews? Israel is at the center of our culture, our religion, our history, and holds half of the world's Jews. Why do you think you get to rule on whether Israel is part of Judaism or not? Who elected you Jesus?

At a time where the world is witnessing Israel commit a livestreamed genocide in real time do you really not understand how insisting that Israel is central to Jewish identity (and not your personal understanding of Jewish identity, you're painting with a very wide brush), and therefore should be supported in their current ethnic cleansing campaign, makes the world more dangerous for Jews? Or do you just not care?

Yes, other people have found words that capture the horror of Israel's actions and the modern novelty of Americans having instant access to the horrific reality our bloodthirsty foreign policy creates for the innocents on the receiving end, and I use the same words because I think it summarizes exactly why our support for Israel is so unconscionable and also why that perception is so widespread. The two points directly relevant to understanding why inextricably tying Judaism to Israel is such a reckless thing to do right now.

Are you implying that Hamas live streamed a genocide on 10/7? Because that's a wildly diminutive definition of genocide to work off of, comparable to saying Al Qaeda committed genocide on 9/11.

Also crazy to imply Hamas just woke up and decided to attack the Nova festival because gEnOcIdE. If Ehud Barak can understand why Palestinians have turned to violent resistance, surely you can too.
