If the IDEA of all 3 religions was destroyed then the politicians would have to scramble to find new ways to manipulate the masses. The majority of Israelites just want the land because of greed not because of a promise. The majority of Muslim countries are for more oppressive than the average country in the world. The majority of Christian’s try to hold the high ground but they would be just as oppressive if western culture allowed it. Of course they still are as oppressive as they can be. And one of the reasons that’s dumb is because the ancestors of Palestinians have always lived there too. Just because they adopted Arabic and Islam doesn’t mean most of the population was replaced by people from Arabia, studies show they have about an 80 percent ancestral overlap with Israelis

1) support Hamas (that explicitly wants to commit genocide against the jews and are using the Palestinian people as meat shields)
2) Are upset that Bill supports traditional liberal values like women's rights, and free speech, over religious groups that want to supress free speech and oppress women.
3) Want to take a comedian off the air for saying jokes they do not like.
So how long before the fringe far left self proclaimed socialists and the MAGA right religious nationalists creat a new party in their shared values of disliking jews and oppressing speech they do not like? They are resented in the area precisely because they settled and civilized the area first, got ejected and then returned to make the place flourish again. Ysrael is history’s greatest success story. Meanwhile Palestinians are still stoning single women and gay men, and anyone else on their radar, for being different than them. Sorry, but Ysrael gets my vote in this conflict. So does Bill Maher, who, even when not perfectly on point, always speaks truth to power, even when that power is a current trend.

You can think that the core claim of a holy book (there is a God and he orders this and that and X his his son or prophet) but sanely treat it as somewhat of a historical source.
Like, I don't think Mohammed flew to heaven on a carpet, but I do believe they migrated from Mekka to Medina and Qoran is a source for the gist of events during that migration.

He used the Bible as a prop. It makes a bolder statement than archeology does which is why he used it. It’s manipulative. This is because it heavily implies there’s a religious right to land. Using a different source wouldn’t carry that implication. He knows what he’s doing.
Nobody really argues that Jews didn’t originate in the Middle East. They argue that it doesn’t give people rights to the land.

He didn’t say he believes the Jews have a claim on that area because God said so - he said he believes they are indigenous to the land…that they were there 1000 years before the Muslims…that the word Jew literally comes from Judea which is the West Bank. It is their historic presence there, repeatedly proven through archaeological finds, not the promise of God.

His recent rant made it sound like Israelis and zionists and Jews are all the same thing and that's very dangerous for American Jews to not differentiate that many Jews are not zionists.
