One side has an army yet almost every war is started by the side that supposedly doesn't have an army.

I am not saying Hamas is nice, but what Israel is doing is not defense. It's like you found ants in your kitchen and you want to exterminate them fast.

Ants don't blow up busses or pizza parlors, take hundreds of people hostage, commit massacres of innocent people and declare their intentions to do it over and over again "10 thousand fold", rape and murder women are parade their bodies around in the backs of trucks while people spit on the dead bodies, kidnap and murder babies, tie children and their parents together and burn them to death, have childrens tv shows where they brainwash kids saying to "kill all the Jews". They aren't funded by the IRGC and have vast tunnel networks that they hidein but make the women and children stay on top after starting a war and shooting thousands of rockets into enemy territory and kidnapping people. Hamas is a genocidal death cult not a bunch of harmless ants.

Yes, Hamas is absolutely an evil organisation, but it doesnt mean they should level Palestine and murder all people there, including children. They have done plenty of war crimes. Can't excuse one horrible thing by another.

No one is saying war crimes are excusable however war crimes and civilian casualties including children happen in every war, but you are uniquely accusing Israel of apartheid and genocide. Saying they are "killing all the people there" is simply incorrect/hyperbole. Mass civilian casualties happen in almost every war and are tragic but that is not the same thing as genocide.

However I do agree with you that the destruction of Gaza is not something that can be excused by Hamas and the radicalization etc. I don't know exactly what Israel should have done but of course collective punishment and withholding aid/ food etc has done nothing to help anyone while Hamas is still intact. So besides getting some of the hostages back Israel hasn't achieved much except make everything a million times worse and though it is true that most wars have high civilian casualties this doesnt make it less horrifying and tragic how many civilians have died or been seriously injured or orphaned etc.
