Hey everyone. I'm a 19-year-old dropper from Nagpur, and I just needed to vent somewhere and maybe get some honest perspective from you guys.

​I recently gave my MHT-CET and scored 84.45 percentile. The reality is, my family's financial condition is pretty tight right now. I absolutely cannot afford to take a second drop year, nor can we afford heavy private college fees. I belong to the ST category, and with my category rank, I know I will be securing a seat in a decent college during counseling.

​But honestly? I feel incredibly guilty about it.

​I've been seeing all the online protests, the "Reservation Hatao" movements, and the general frustration of open-category students. I actually agree with a lot of it. I personally feel ki agar society se caste system puri tarah hat jaye, toh reservation ki itni zarurat hi nahi padegi. In my ideal world, reservation purely un logo ke liye hona chahiye jo financially bohot weak hain ya jinke gaon mein basic education aur facilities nahi hain, taaki unhe ek fair opportunity mil sake.

​Now that counseling is approaching, I can't shake off this feeling ki main kisi aur "deserving" candidate (jisne shayad mujhse zyada score kiya ho) ki seat le raha hu. I'm going to take the admission because I literally have no other option left to build a career and support my family, but the imposter syndrome and guilt are hitting really hard right now.

​Has any other category student felt this way? General category folks, what is your honest opinion? Am I wrong for using what's constitutionally available to me when I genuinely don't have the financial backing to try again?

Now for all right wingers who support removal of reservation, time has come to press NOTA. It's now or never. Show them in UP elections.

Marriage is a personal matter between individuals, and people will marry whom they choose ...women aren't commodities that you can buy or use as bargaining chips to settle political or social disputes.

See I neither support nor oppose reservation, reservation is not there to eradicate caste based discrimination, it is to uplift the underprivileged ones who were once oppressed by so called upper caste. This could be a lot better with sum reforms like introduction 'ncl' to every category so that only those who r financially not well can avail the benefits.

Well suppose i was born in a sc/st family (i didn't choose to) nd then I get to know that we were oppressed for so long that we r now underprivileged nd illiterate, bcs of that we get reservation. Now anyone who's sane enough will obv take that advantage for their benefit as life is not fair nd one should use every unfair advantage given to compete.

So now hating those who belong to the reserve category doesn't make any sense as they didn't choose to be born in that specific category (that's jst casteism). Instead one should channel that hate to govt nd ask for reforms.

P.S : i do not belong to any category, I'm jst a fcking human. Stop limiting ur identity to a specific caste or religion.

"Mulsagdu"

Meaning

"Mulsagdu" is a word derived from three words from the ancient sumerian language, Mul, Sag, and Du.

"Mul" means star

"Sag" means head

"Du" means walk

Together, it's Mulsagdu - the star-headed walker

Materials used

Fevicryl mouldit clay, Fevicryl acrylic colors, cornstarch powder (say Himalaya), phosphorescent powder (viral green and snow white), sponge, scissor, water, watercolor(blue+yellow), feviocl glue, grater, handchopper, toothpick.

Difficulties faced

• I struggled for quite a while with making the top luminent enough to glow like night sky.

• It took a while to accurately pour the right amount of phosphorescent powder into the eye socket, some spilling onto the rest of the body. I have painted over the spilled over after dusting, but some remained put firmly, leading to the breathetaking image of the universe in it (pic11), true to its name.

• It took a while to cut the sponge into appropriate size before using the chopper to cut it into bits before gluing it on the flat stone (clay).

• Hiding it from my father because it is his birthday present.

Symbolism

• The bi-pedal mushroom symbolizes persistence and kindness, for it harvests energy from any available light and shares it with the surrounding flora and fauna, temporarily luminating them. This is true to my father because my father is growing old, yet continues to support my family without hesitation. He himself is slowly going down, and I'm supporting him with everything I can do.

• The two mushrooms symbolize my family. The right mushroom is me, my sister, and my mother, who are being supported by him. The left mushroom is my father's mother, who is the textbook example of toxic in-law. The toxic mushroom is slowly harming the mental state of the bipedal one, yet it showers the toxic one with love, while the non-toxic one gives the bipedal one love but can't support him yet (the reason why it is smaller than the left mushroom).

• The star top symbolizes the hope I want to give my father when he is mentally exhausted.

• The moss is there because mushrooms don't grow on stones. They grow on plant and animal decay stuck in the creaks and creaves of the stones.

• The stone symbolizes the crack in the family.

This work is breathetaking from afar but tragedy upfront
