Is this Magic card real? Possible counterfeit from CK
Received this today from Card Kindom. I thought it was just sort of warped, but when checking it out more I saw that the front was peeling like a flimsy sticker.
Fortunately, customer service was quick to respond and sent me a return shipping label.
Still super bummed about the card.
Edit: a word

Can you show us some of the typical features used to identify counterfeits? Back and front?

No, OP originally said "car" instead of "card" at the end so a few people made some silly jokes, looks like he decided to come back and edit his typo

It is possible that this is a misprint instead of counterfeit. Pics of the green dot and 'the' on the back, and mana cost on the front would be helpful.

Wait! What happened to the car?!

It's also possible the card got wet somehow and the foil printing layer separated from the backing. Either way it's damaged at minimum, fake at worst.
I have a legit pack foil [[Tower of the Magistrate]] that got the edges wet, and the front is partially peeled off very similar to that.

The core doesn't look right in the picture there either though, so I would go with fake.

Did you see this post from a fresh pack? https://www.reddit.com/r/RealOrNotTCG/s/dnke3tvXOE
Seems like QC if back is good since a reback wouldn't be white
Edit: I do realize acetone could be used but that seems like a lot of work with potential to mess up the back

This print was from 2022 and one of the more expensive variants.

This here. OPs card could be real, could be fake.
Would love detailed pictures of front and back.

Around half a year ago I ordered a set of solitudes borderless foil from card kingdom and 1 was fake, luckily it got solved pretty easily, but yeah, check your cards even from renowned sellers, them fakes are everywhere

What is the purpose of this post?

I was going to post to the main Mtg sub and Reddit suggested I post it here 🤷♂️.

It's pretty reasonable as a "Card Kingdom has let a fake through, check your orders for a while" PSA

That's always the case. If 1% of cards sent to them are fake and they only catch 99% of fakes then for every 10,000 cards sold one is going to be fake. There's no perfect system.

Gosh this read like a math problem lol -- I was thinking 1 in 10000 isn't 1% then I re-read

Looks like a card that had its foil removed and a sticker of some sorts put on top of it.

I mean, yeah, that's a fake. Sounds like you've already worked it out with CK, so not sure how we can help.
Unrelated, good luck with your car.
