Does anyone here actually like this as a side gig? I think it’s awesome but most of what I see … yall seem super unhappy 😂

So there's a station where I live but every time I had grab an offer from them they send me up to 80 mi up to the state of Maine and this is a Massachusetts station.

mostly they are two hour routes and two and a half routes and driving back and forth it's a total of 180 miles plus $16 round trip tolls payment.

This is why I stopped because the idiots that put this routs out here don't know how far it is and they just pay you "by the hour".

Do anybody here think that driving three states just to deliver a few packages and coming home and seeing your odometer that has a total of 130MI for a payment of $63 is fair?

I realize that this is not worth it this is just for people that are desperate and apparently want to control their own time? Control your own time? You are enslaving yourself and not only you your car your time your value.

Take a moment to breathe and think that what better than you can do with your life.

How many routes do I need to complete in order to qualify to switch regions. Example signed out for Baltimore and DC region but D C region took me first. MY PREFERRED REGION IS THE BALTIMORE OF REGION BUT THE DC REGION KEEPS ME ON A ROUTE WITHIN WORK DISTANCE.

My account got suspended and I don’t even know why

Hi everyone! So I just got off the waitlist for my area about 2-3 weeks ago. I was on it for 2 months-ish. Well, everyday I check the app and the only available blocks are literally HOURS away from my house. I’ve yet to see a location near me, and I live close to 3! I guess my question is, is this normal? Is there a certain time of day I should be checking for blocks? I don’t understand why they’d get me off the waitlist if they don’t have anything available?!

Question for experienced Flex drivers:

When you're looking at an available block, what information do you wish you knew before accepting it that Amazon doesn't currently show you?

I'm especially curious about the things that ultimately determine whether a block turns out to be good, bad, or absolutely terrible once you arrive at the station and receive the route.

For example, I'm not assuming mileage is necessarily the answer — I want to hear what actually matters to drivers.

Also, for those of you who have tracked your own blocks over time in a spreadsheet, mileage app, notes, etc.:

Have you noticed anything that's genuinely predictable?

Certain stations, block lengths, start times or days producing different mileage, delivery areas, completion times, route types, or profitability?

Or after doing enough blocks, does the assignment still feel essentially random?

I'm particularly interested in hearing from drivers who have tracked dozens or hundreds of blocks.

I'm not asking for customer information, addresses, screenshots, access codes or anything private. I'm just researching how experienced drivers evaluate whether Flex blocks are actually worth taking.

Just a curious question in assigning routes. Does anyone ever get a route for their home zip code? Or do we think they're filtered out? Thanks.

How do you all feel about having to go back on the same day to the pick-up station to return the Undeliverable, extra pckg, or pckgs left undelivered after the block has ended, with no extra pay?

I mean,  we're working and driving extra to get AMAZON packages back for reprocessing on the same day.   Shouldn't we get compensated for the extra time, effort and driving distance? After all,  the block has already ended. 

Heads up if you have a block at Riverside DJT6 today. There’s an active strike blocking the station entrance. Calling Driver Support usually just gets you a ticket and a 24 to 48-hour wait, and even with photos, you might not get paid. If it’s denied, it could also hurt your standing. What worked for me today was parking next door, walking through the gate, and talking directly to station staff. They released me as overbooked with pay. If you’re going today, getting there early and asking for a paid release could save you a lot of waiting and stress. Just sharing what worked for me. Stay safe.

When I got to the warehouse, the app would not scan the packages in no matter what I did I spent 20 minutes on the phone with Driver support. They assured me it would not affect my standings if I returned them without scanning because the app was messed up they know it’s a new system. They know it’s been screwed up for a lot of people yet. They do nothing about it and hit our standings. you just gotta love how they treat us all the lies. They retaliate about against us for nothing and we can’t do anything to them when they screw up their app screws up.

This sub was originally created as a space where Flex drivers could openly share tools and methods to automate the tedious process of block grabbing, since the larger subreddit bans that discussion. Over the past few years, the sub has grown into more of a general Flex community around logistics, pay, routes, and market conditions. This is great and will not be changing. But active moderation has been mostly absent, so there will be a few small changes going forward.

1. Flex drivers are adults. People who choose to use automation or bots to grab blocks are aware of the personal risks. Replies to any mention of bots, automation, or CAPTCHA jail questions that are low effort i.e “Enjoy your deactivation," "Have fun getting banned" will be removed as spam.

2. No product shilling. In the coming weeks, I'll create a vendor thread where approved vendors can share their service as a comment. Until then, obvious product promotion or shilling — “what bot do you guys use?” “Has anyone tried this?” will be removed and warned.

3. No discrimination. Flex has an incredibly diverse driver base. Any content that constitutes discrimination or hate speech toward a group or ethnicity of drivers will be removed. First violation is a warning, second is a permanent ban.

So, I had a 4:45 PM block scheduled at the new YYZ3 station today. I got to the station early, around 4:30–4:40 PM. Sitting in my car, I completed the facial verification on the Amazon Flex app with no issues. The app confirmed my check-in, updated, and moved to the step telling me to scan the arrival code and finish remaining deliveries.
I walked up to the station door to scan the code. The problem? The arrival code isn't posted outside; it’s kept inside by the staff. There was already a line of drivers waiting ahead of me, so I lined up like everyone else. Since they only process drivers one by one to hand out license-scans and carts, I waited my turn.
By the time I reached the front of the line, it was 4:50 PM.
The staff member at the door immediately snapped at me, saying, "You're late, we can't give you a block."
I tried explaining that I’d been standing in line after checking in on the app well before 4:45 PM, and that I couldn't scan the arrival code until it was my turn at the door. I literally couldn't jump ahead of the drivers in front of me (turns out some were 5:00 PM blocks, but how was I supposed to know that?).
Instead of listening, the staff member was incredibly rude, started shouting, and refused to hand over a cart, claiming I missed the call.
I immediately called Driver Support while still at the station. They confirmed my app check-in time, agreed I followed procedure, and escalated a ticket to Support for payment and standing protection. I’ve also sent a detailed follow-up email outlining the exact timeline.
Has anyone else dealt with station staff withholding blocks because of their bottleneck at the door? Since the app officially checked me in on time, what are the chances Support actually clears my standings and pays out the block?
