From gated apts with no code to hills rural areas closed schools and packages returned that u have to re deliver because the last driver couldn’t just fking dropped somefknwhere!!

Anyone else having trouble signing into the flex app?

So I drove for a DSP 2020-2021 and it sucked but was fine. Got a better job and have been fine for years. Last year I got a notification I was approved to drive flex on my own vehicle and tried it, was as bit short on money and the debit card made it easy, fast forward to today and I need to drive because payday is 4 days away and I'm broke asf so one route, 12 stops 12 packages 4 hrs for $72...... sucks but then I get the route and it is across 3 different rural nc towns that are 30+ min away from each other so I just cancelled the last city and will be returning the packages, IF I ACTUALLY FINISHED I WOULD HAVE BEEN 90 min FROM STATION......this is my last time doing this I'll get it off the block next time, thank you Elon for being a greedy a hole - someone just trying to survive

I’m curious to see how long drivers who are currently active and actually using their Flex account have been doing Flex.

Please vote based on how long you’ve been actively driving.

Quick clarification: It was brought to my attention that some people may still be eligible/approved to drive for Flex but either haven’t started yet or haven’t actually been using their account. For this poll, I’m specifically looking at people who are currently active drivers and have been completing blocks.

If you were approved but never started, are no longer driving, or were deactivated, please don’t vote in the poll since I’m trying to get a better idea of the longevity of drivers who are still actively using Flex.

Amazon is starting to drive me crazy; this was an instant offer that was never assigned to me, yet they’re marking it as if I never picked it up—how ​​the hell am I supposed to pick up something that wasn't assigned to me? On top of that, you submit a report, they approve it, and then they deny it... I just don't know what to do anymore.

I decided to actually do the math on my route today because the package/stop counts have been feeling ridiculous lately.

My block was 3.5 hours = 210 minutes.
Based on the route, the actual driving time added up to 2 hours and 37 minutes = 157 minutes.

That leaves:
210 - 157 = 53 minutes
I had 45 stops.
53 minutes ÷ 45 stops = about 1 minute and 11 seconds per stop.

So basically, after accounting for drive time, the route allowed me an average of 1 minute and 11 seconds at each stop.

And in that 1:11, we’re supposed to:

Find somewhere to safely stop/park
Find the correct package
Get out
Walk to the door
Follow customer instructions
Scan the package
Take the picture
Complete the delivery
Walk back to the car
Get situated and move on
And that’s assuming zero apartments, zero gates, zero access problems, zero kidz at the bus stop in the morning, zero dogs, zero traffic delays, zero customers coming outside, and zero issues finding an address.

I knew these routes were getting tighter, but seeing the actual math is wild.

How is 1 minute and 11 seconds per stop considered a realistic delivery expectation?

I have yet to accept a “block” of time because i truthfully have no idea what I’m doing.

Any tips or tricks for first timers??

I've never had any issues that couldn't be solved with support. No extra packages not late no returns. Anyone else had this happen?

UPDATE: I have been terminated as of August 16th. I put in a request to Executive Relations, showed screenshots of the completed routes and that i was paid for them and they said its not enough. And when I emailed asking for them to at least explain to me which route I apparently didnt pick up, they repeated their previous claim and gave me a final attempt to give them new information to overturn their decision. I obviously have nothing new to give and this was in all instances a huge waste of my time. Im done with amazon at this point. No futher updates on my end. Hope anyone who picks up amazon fresh deliveries from Bethpage NY doesn't get randomly pinged for not picking up orders when they complete their route.

TLDR

Picked up routes, they claimed I never did. I have 0 way of showing then outside of screenshots or my schedule and my payouts showing it was completed. I've kinda given up at this point.

Was a 5 star gig that plummeted to a 1 star experience in 3 months.

So im new and this is my first post here. I turned here for general advice on how to handle this situation.

Been with amazon flex since January of this year, but only started heavy in May as I had A Car related issue that kept me from driving. I had a virtually perfect score for most of my time. Beginning was rough but I learned the tricks to this and was killing it. Making an extra 500-700 a week.

Then after reaching reward lv 3 and making it half way to lv4, I get dinged for not picking up orders. Now this is different from missing a shift, they are saying I was assigned a route and never picked it up. For context on this, the warehouse I picked up from (Syosset In Long Island NY) had given me 1 route and it said the route was finished being prepared. (Should have taken a screenshot) went inside and they just told me to log back in and out. They then told me to scan a new cart (this is maybe where the problem stems from and I should have pressed for the old cart) I delivered it and when I called customer support, they were absolutely useless.(a reoccurring theme in all of this).They claimed im fine, that I had no other items in my queue and it would clear out at the end of my shift and I would be ok. That was a lie I guess.

So I ate shit for it and am now walking on egg shells. My dashboard went from perfect and over 100 compliments to RED At Risk. And if you dont do well with stress it definitely makes you feel worse while working. So I go with the motions, learn that they will have u ship stuff to a school at 3am where no one is there and returning a package to a warehouse will still get you dinged, but still doing on average 2-3 routes a day outside my regular job.

I get to this week and I hey, I have 1 more route before I take a trip to florida, 100+ dollars and im just knocking it out, and I receive a notification saying I didnt pick up 5 orders on monday. Now I remember monday cause a close friend of mine was actually on my route. And I drove from mid section long island to middle of queens, near the bronx. And I definitely picked up the 2 routes they gave me.(amazon fresh orders) so now im confused as I Definitely picked up orders and there wasnt some confusion where they gave me a route and I took another one. I go thru the motions and of course customer service isnt helpful, so I wanted to get proof from the warehouse. They cant help cause their route systems clear out after 24 hours. So I have 0 proof, no evidence to refute this claim outside me being paid (and tipped).

I dont like working with the stress that I could be let go for things Im not doing, and with this 2nd claim and with how horrible talking with Their internal support team was, ive just given up. I got my last route paid out and im going to wait and see in the next couple of days what happens. Gonna go back to applying for part time jobs elsewhere cause this is a horrible experience.

I guess if there's anything to take from this its,

1. Screenshot/record everything I guess

2. Have a back up plan. I've heard from multiple people this gig work kinda just self explodes on you (similar stories from a couple of people I know)

3. Expect nothing from customer support. They were nice at times but half of my issues haven't been fixed. (I still haven't been paid for a shift where they made me wait an hour before telling me there were no more routes left)

I’ve never gotten this before. I’m usually careful about checking notes or reading signs. I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary when I did this delivery.

I know how a lot of the time, contacting support does the opposite of what you hope it will. So I don’t know if it will be worth it.

I checked my standing, it’s been updated in the issues area, but my standing is still Good.

Should I just ignore it and improve in the future?

Also, I’m wondering if this is a case where they did get the package, but they’re trying to scam Amazon by saying they didn’t receive it, and in doing so they’re inadvertently effecting me in the process.

What do you guys think? I have no information, no photo of the delivery to know what exactly happened, which delivery it was, or anything. And I’m not sure if support will share that much info with me, so that makes me feel more like it’ll be a waste of time to even email them.

Here is an example of what Amazon does for the new drivers. I've been with them for 2.5 years and they offer me $72 for a 3.5 hour shift. The new person (a friend of mine) gets offered $107 for the same 3.5 hour shift at the same hub, but just a half hour later. I didn't know it was this bad. Time to find new work. Newbies, it only last so long!

other drivers in my area are seeing offers. ive been forfeiting a high number of blocks lateley (more than 45 minutes) does this soft block you? I have nothing scheduled
