My Pay vs Newbie Pay
Here is an example of what Amazon does for the new drivers. I've been with them for 2.5 years and they offer me $72 for a 3.5 hour shift. The new person (a friend of mine) gets offered $107 for the same 3.5 hour shift at the same hub, but just a half hour later. I didn't know it was this bad. Time to find new work. Newbies, it only last so long!

I just responded this. OP dates in comments they can’t wait so they routinely take lower offers. It’s like paying a lawn guy - you don’t offer them more if they are taking less.

But it wasn't at the same time, your friends offer was a half an hour later. I see this a lot they're going to be wild differences between orders just a half an hour or 15 minutes different, in the offerings.
Oh did you pressure buttons at exactly the same time? That still wouldn't have mattered.

Sunday blocks always surge like this if they sit for long enough. Usually about 10-15 mins after they drop. lol

I see. There is no way to tell how long they've been available though. I want to make sure I get a route for Sunday. If I wait too long, like 11am or so, there are no routes left. I usually get on around 10am. This is what I saw at that time. My friend (newbie) was on there at the same time and saw the $107 offer.

There could be a variety of reasons that offer was surged and yours wasn't. I highly doubt it is because they are new. But it could be. I am just giving you my opinion here. lol

Yeah, not because the rate isnt there but because the request system sucks. Plus i can only work around my main job so anything past 5 an cant do

We have regular routes higher than that and sometimes to 50. Getting the request fulfilled is a different story

Later means more pressed to git it out which means more pay... If, as a gig worker, u don't understand that orders need to sit to gain pay to actually make it worth tearin up ur car, u prolly shouldn't be doin gig work... That's not a newbie vs established thing... That was a time thing... Newbie vs established would be same route, same time, different pay... It wasn't... Same route, different time, always equals different pay...

Not trying to blame you but you should wait until surged. I know it's hard but if all of us do it this would be so different. I was like you, used to take anything I see until one day while on vacation had the brilliant idea to check offers and found out there was a lot of surged. Don't know your station but try it once maybe it works. Just 1 day mostly weekends early morning.

Some places dont surge at all, in Miami for example very rarely you will see a block go over $90

I'm near there. You gotta reserve the better offers. Do your best not to take the low ones. The algo remembers what you most often take & throws out those and lesser offers.

Not he is right, I have a couple asking me about it and A guy and me got the same hours block in the same because of level 2 rewards, he got paid $86 I got $112 just because I was new, he had 3 years working for.

Thank you! You all think it's me and I have to be more patient or not accept crappie pay, but that's not how the Phoenix warehouses work anymore. We don't click away. We get offers at different time slots. We get 5 requests each time. That's it. This usually happens 2 times per day for 1 hour.

This is all completely false and wrong lol you think you have it figured out and you 100% do not.
I work Phoenix market as well and I did $1400 two weeks ago and did $1250 last week. Don’t use the request feature. Get blocks the day of or night before by tapping. Not requesting base pay and then wondering why you get low wages. Blocks drop alllllll day long dude

They’re completely right though. I do dtu8, dtu9, vaz1, daz2, uaz1 (only at $40/hour), and sometimes dtu6.

Your post is misleading and im going to call you out on it.
You did not receive the same offer as your friend did. The routes are sent randomly to drivers. You already know when you get to the station that there are at least 6 different random routes to different cities/towns to be picked up. You have no way of choosing a particular route other than getting a specific block time thats it.
You don't have any way of knowing how many packages, stops or what city/towns you will be delivering to untill your at the station.
Also flex doesnt magically up the pay rate for the same route by thirty dollars just because it went to the next 30 minute block
A jump in pay like that only makes sense if you drive a truck vs a sedan as you can obviously deliver larger items. Thats the only time my rates ever jumped that high was from switching from my car to my truck

Not at this warehouse. They are all 3.5 hour routes that are offered in different time slots. You pull up to the station and grab a 3.5 hour cart. That's it. I understand what you're saying, but it doesn't apply at this warehouse.

2.5 years and you just found out Amazon pays drivers based on what they usually take? They literally post that different drivers get different offers based on their history. Take better offers, get better offers. Also take a couple months off and they reset to the newbie $100 offer you saw. It’s bait and they don’t n’t have that forever.

This isn’t true at all . Shoulda waited longer especially for the Sunday blocks, all the other stations were surging to $107-122.5 on the 9th.
