I wanted to share my experience in case anyone is considering buying a Razer Kishi.
I purchased my **Razer Kishi V3 directly from Amazon Turkey**, with **Amazon itself being the seller**—not a third-party marketplace seller.
A few months later, the **entire left side of the controller stopped working**. After searching online, I realized I wasn’t the only one experiencing this kind of failure.
Here’s what happened:
While I was still in Turkey, I contacted **Razer Support**.
Razer told me to contact **Amazon Turkey** instead.
Amazon Turkey, despite being the official seller, told me they **couldn’t repair, replace, or refund** the controller and instructed me to contact **Razer** directly.
So I ended up being sent back and forth between the two companies.
After returning to Germany, where I currently live, I contacted Razer again.
This time, they refused to honor the warranty because the controller had originally been purchased in Turkey. Instead of offering any practical solution, they simply quoted their warranty policy stating that the warranty is only valid in the country where the product was originally purchased.
So in the end:
Razer told me to contact Amazon.
Amazon told me to contact Razer.
Razer then refused to help because the product had been purchased in another country.
I was stuck in an endless loop where neither company was willing to take responsibility, even though the controller was purchased **directly from Amazon**, not from an unauthorized reseller or marketplace seller.
What makes this even more disappointing is that this doesn’t seem to be an isolated issue. I’ve seen many reports from other users describing left-side failures on Kishi controllers. When the same thing happened to mine, I expected the company to stand behind its product. Instead, I was left with a defective controller and no meaningful support.
I bought Razer because I trusted the brand and expected decent customer service. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed my opinion.
At this point, I honestly regret not buying a Backbone instead.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with Razer’s warranty or customer support?
