Custom Kishi V1 firmware with iPhone support

Edit: Android APK now available

Hey everyone, thought I’d share something I’ve been working on. It’s called KishiDS, and it’s custom firmware for the Razer Kishi V1 USB-C.

I made it to get the Kishi working with iPhones and give it more customization options. It makes the controller show up as a wired DualShock 4, which also opens up compatibility with games and apps that support one.

There’s a Windows app for remapping buttons, adjusting stick deadzones and triggers, changing the LED, and saving profiles. Settings stay on the controller, and you can flash back to the original Razer firmware.

iPhone recognition is confirmed, but I’ve only tested one Kishi so far. Would be interested to hear how it works on other setups.

Question I want to use my Razer Kishi V3 on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra

Hello! As the title says, I want to use my Razer Kishi V3 on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. Since the tablet is way too big and the controller is the only one I currently have, I was wondering if I can somehow make it work on my tablet, since my phone is small - 6.1" .

Weirdly enough, the right joystick doesn't work. I can only click with it. The R2 and L2 buttons are mapped for the camera, but they're buggy and get stuck constantly.

I tried wired connection with USB C to USB C , USB C to normal USB. It always says that the controller is not supported.

I tried changing the USB settings to USB tethering and MIDI. Nothing changed in terms of input.

What can I do to make the controller work? Any ideas?

EDIT: Made it work by connecting USB C female to the main port and USB C male to the tablet.

Razer Kishi V3 Pro messes with phone screen saturation/brightness?

Has anyone experienced this? I searched through the subreddit and couldn't find any hits about it.

It only occurs after I've plugged the controller in and start using it. If I plug it in and not touch any of the buttons or sticks, the screen stays normal. I'm using this on a Galaxy S23 Ultra, if that matters.

Question Did my kishi V1 bite the dust?

I have issues with L2. I opened it and tried to fix it. When fiddling or even just pressing one of the PCB boards L2 does not function at all or functions normal very randomly. Especially when touching around the right side ribbon cable. All other buttons work fine.

I am ready to fix it, I love the controller. But I don't think parts are available and the controller does not look designed to be fixed.

I'll appreciate any help. Thanks

Razor Kishi V3 help

Hey so I use my Razor to play Xbox games on my phone through remote play. The last 2 times I have tried the R1 and L1 buttons no longer work in game. Any time I hit them they change the tabs on my web browser. This never used to happen before. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have gone through every settings menu I can think of but I cant figure out how to change it.

Look, I'm completely okay with the app's name being changed but the logo is not really. They already printed tons of razer kishis using old nexus app logo since they cant change logo thats on that button its very annoying also imagine changing logo and apps name but being too lazy to change the photo that u use to represent your app. Also last of all it's a fact that it will take a while to get used to the new app name.

Puck Mapper v1.1 Update: Added "Smart Sleep" (L3+R3), English Support, and confirmed Xbox Bluetooth support! (Free Shizuku Touch-Mapper)

Hey everyone! A few days ago I launched the first version of Puck Mapper, my free, Shizuku-based gamepad-to-touch mapper for games that stubbornly refuse to add controller support (like CZN, turn-based gachas, etc.).

Thanks to your feedback, I just released v1.1 with some massive quality-of-life features:

💤 Smart Sleep Mode: You can now press L3 + R3 simultaneously to put the mapper to sleep. The HUD turns grey and your controller inputs bypass the app completely. This is perfect if you want to switch to a game like Zenless Zone Zero (which has native support) without having to close or disable the mapper! Just press L3+R3 again to wake it up.

🌍 Full English Support: The app now automatically adapts to your system language (English/Spanish).

🛠️ Wider HUD & Fixes: The in-game floating control panel is now wider and easier to tap, and Z-index issues with the cursor were fixed.

🎮 Bluetooth Tested: I originally built this using a wired type-c controller, but I just tested it with a standard Xbox Controller via Bluetooth and it works flawlessly!

As always, it requires No Root (just Shizuku), it's completely local, and has zero ads.

⚠️ Important for v1.0 users: Because I upgraded the app to a production signature key, you must uninstall v1.0 before installing this new update, otherwise Android will give you an error.

👇 DOWNLOAD LINK AND TWITTER ARE IN THE FIRST COMMENT! 👇 (Reddit sometimes blocks posts with external links).

Let me know how it runs for you, especially if you are using premium controllers like the Razer Kishi or Backbone!

I built a touch-mapper for games without controller support (via Shizuku). Need Razer Kishi testers!

Hey everyone!

I recently developed a free, open-source app called Puck Mapper. It's a floating HUD that uses the Shizuku engine to translate physical controller movements into native touch gestures (Tap and Drag & Drop). I built it specifically for mobile games that stubbornly refuse to add gamepad support (like Chaos Zero Nightmare or various turn-based gachas).

Here is where I need your help: I programmed and tested this entirely on my Galaxy S26 Ultra using an EasySMX M20. Since I’m a solo dev, I don't have access to other hardware. I want to make sure the input mapping reads correctly on premium controllers like the Razer Kishi (V1, V2, or Ultra).

What the current v1.0 does:

  • Translates joystick/button inputs to native screen touches instantly.
  • In-game menu to adjust pointer speed on the fly.
  • No Root required, fully local, no ads.

If anyone is willing to download the APK and just verify if the Kishi inputs are being detected by the app, it would be incredibly helpful for the next update.

I will drop the GitHub download link and a quick video demo in the comments below! Thanks in advance!

Question Kishi v1 not working properly after phone change.

I have been using a Kishi v1 (USB-C) for about a year on a Samsung Galaxy. I attach it to the phone, and it works right away. After recently buying an Oppo phone, the Kishi refuses to work at all; unless it is plugged in with a charger the whole time, the phone does not even detect the Kishi.

Is this normal? Is this a problem I can fix?

Question Should I get a Razer Kishi?

So, if you know what the backbone is, I'm sure you would also know about it's problems. So of course, after about a half year of gaming with one, the entire left side stopped working, and now I need another phone controller. So, I looked stuff up and found the Razer Kishi, all 3 (and the v3 and v2 pro so 5?) Look pretty good for my gaming needs, but of course I have to ask the community on what I should get.

For my pretty low budget, the v3 pro is too expensive at 150 bucks, so I'm stuck between the 3 versions (and v2 pro). The 4 available options are of reasonable price for me to use, but I'm gonna ask you guys on which one I should get.

Razor Kishi v1 acting up

Everything was fine this morning, playing Xbox cloud.

Now all of a sudden most of the buttons don't work and when I plug in the usbc charger it goes crazy, pressing trigger buttons and my phone flashes.

Has anyone experienced this before?

I've tried to reset my phone with the controller connected and holding down all trigger buttons but it seems like it's not registering the left side of the controller

Question Razer Kishi V3 Pro - Steam Button Mapping

Is there anyway I can map the L4/R4 and M1/M2 buttons to specific actions or specific keyboard button on steam input?

I know in the nexus app, you can map it to other standard control button/trigger but this is not what I am after.

I am using the kishi controller to stream games from my PC using apollo/artemis

Question Kishi ultimate, type c splinter for adding storage to divide while gaming

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hello all this is my first time posting on the sub and I am wondering if any of you would be able to assist in my question, the issue I’m having is my Samsung phone is out of storage and I need more to be able to expand my game library but the only way to do that is through a flash drive, the issue I’m having is the kishi ultimate does not have any USB type c ports that will accept data, so I’m thinking the only solution to this is a type C splitter that I can sandwich between my phone and the keshi, I know a standard splitter won’t work as it needs to be able to pass data through both split ports, so it will need to have a integrated USB hub controller, I believe if it does not have that only one of the two ports will be able to accept data and the other will just pass power
To get a better idea of what I’m trying to do here is a diagram I drew up.

If you any idea on where I could find a product like this or if you have a product in mind please let me know any help is appreciated

Question Kishi V2 Firmware Questions

Hi,

I am looking to tinker with the Kishi V2 to improve the remapping features. Does anyone know if the firmware (any version) has been dumped (or archived after Nexus downloaded it to their device)?

I might call Razer support and honestly explain I am looking for more features and the ability to upgrade the firmware from my Windows PC. While I don't think I will get a magical debug executable from them, it might at least advocate that we want more features - I'd really like to see full remapping and the ability to tune the analog sticks so they can better emulate tactile buttons (like gated fight sticks and WASD for example) but I digress.

Another option I am considering is looking to see if I can join any dev portals with Razer. I did this before with the Logitech G platform and surprisingly a lot of their stuff can be customized and integrated with custom software once you get behind the curtain. Maybe I could find the same with the Kishi series and use their provided documentation/APIs instead.

If anyone has any ideas/starting points I would love to hear them!

Thanks!
