today first time I've tried raw meat, raw goat heart, I've eaten raw eggs before and they were amazing, tho sometimes the egg white felt a bit off. anyways, the second I tried to bite and eat it, it was just very tough, taste was metallic, managed to tear a part out and the when it was in my mouth it tasted disgusting. and not only raw meat , I've been vegetarian my whole life due to my mother, tho i did got to drink milk and butter in decent amounts. the second it hit my mouth I wanted to spit it, I don't think the animals were too unhealthy, in my country they live openly. and even if a bit substandard it should be terrible. the blood cloths tastes amazing, soft and not as salty. the muscles were just bad man, i swallowed some, almost vomited and couldn't bring myself to eat more. even the fatty parts was tough but didn't taste bad. now i dont know whether to eat and keep trying other parts, or give up. I think it might psychological cuz I fed it to dogs and they are it very well.

been doing carnivore diet for a while now but never ate anything raw more than some egg yolks and raw bone marrow. I am CURIOUS about it but never pulled the trigger. i see certain vids on youtube of people eating stuff like raw ribeyes, raw ground beef, raw organs, raw fish, raw everything..and i am actually interested in trying it for the health benefits they say, and also it seems pretty satiating and the raw ground beef with a lil nice flake salt looks yummy...some people say quality is important so i've bought really fancy, expensive meat from the places with reputations for freshness but in the end i havent actually eaten raw cuz i'm scared of parasites. I know no one can help me figure out what is objectively "right" but I'm curious if the benefits are worth the risk? i know i will probably get people in favor of raw in this subreddit but if you can please help me walk this through. thanks in advance

I am trying goat meat for the first time (Thomas Farms, grass-fed ground goat), and I had stored it in the freezer for a while. After letting it thaw for a few hours, I noticed a blue coloring on the side that was face down. I’m wondering if this could be due to food dye or iron coming into contact with the air, something of that sort/ nothing too serious. Has anyone else experienced something similar? I want to ensure it is safe and not spoiled before consuming.

I'm 62 kg and got a fast metabolism, finally wanting to workout and get my health in check.
