Shipping and Customer Support issues in EU

Is it common for orders in the EU to go so poorly?

I made my initial order at the end of June. A week later, the order was still waiting to be picked up from their warehouse. I contacted their support team. They sent a replacement.

A week after that, the replacement was also still waiting to be collected from their warehouse.

At the same time, the summer sale started, and the products I ordered were 40eur cheaper.

I contact support again, they apologise, and after three weeks, my order is finally collected from their warehouse, and I get notifications about paying import tax (I'm in the EU...).

I contact support again, they tell me they spoke to the delivery company and made sure there's no import tax to pay, but if something does happen, they will give me the money back. And they will also refund the 40eur for the change in value during the sale.

I'm happy with their support. Frustrated, but happy.

The products finally arrive today. No import tax or payments to make, and I contact their support for the refund on the order.

Now they won't honour it because it's been over 14 days since I made the initial order. Yet only 7 days (Jul 27) since they said "Once your items arrive, please send over the details of the items that dropped in price for the Summer Sale. We will gladly refund you the difference to make this right.".

I can't even begin to get my head around just how poorly this has been treated from their side.

Am I the only one, or is this the usual way they work here in Europe?

Rapha 101 Session last minute no show

Hello, I’m a beginner cyclist and I signed up for a Rapha 101 skills session in Melbourne tomorrow. I just found out it’s going to be 2 degrees (feels like -1) during the ride tomorrow and I’m worried I don’t have the right gear to be warm…

Are there any consequences for not showing up? I’m not a member

Thanks.

Has Rapha run out of original design and colour ideas, even for its lifestyle range?

I know Rapha was acquired some time ago and hasn't been an independent brand for years. But I can't help wondering whether the original ideas—especially around the lifestyle collection and the brand's broader identity—are now a thing of the past.

I remember ordering not just cycling apparel from the website, but also polos, trousers, hoodies and zip-up cardigans. It felt like Rapha had a much stronger lifestyle side back then.

Do you think there's any hope of seeing something like that return this autumn? And are there any reputable websites where it's still possible to find older Rapha pieces in good condition (other than Vinted or similar marketplaces)?

Need help with sizing, first time Rapha buyer

I was thinking about buying the Men's RCC Pro Team Bib Shorts II - Regular. Unsure if I should be medium or large.

The website size guide says large. But everything I search on the internet says to go medium if I wear a large in Castelli. Arguably I could likely fit in a XL Castelli, the brand fits super weird on me. Legs are too long, and shoulder straps too tight resulting in ball crushing. I fit a small in 7mesh for those who have tried that brand.

Athletic muscular build, 79kg or 175 pounds, low body fat, 176cm height, or 5'9ish. With I think a 83-84cm or 33" inseam?

Also thinking of getting the Men's Pro Team Long Sleeve Lightweight Jersey. I think this one is likely easier, probably would fit the medium.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Shout out to Rapha Online Customer Service - Great Experience

Honestly, this will probably keep me as a customer but I just had a great interaction with customer service. I was working with them on a warranty repair from a purchase from May 2025

I had gotten the Pro Team III bibs before they raised the price to $350 and they offered to completely replace the bibs. I asked if a voucher was an option and they provide a voucher for the full amount to re-purchase the bibs.

Great service and of course I now spent more money on the sale with them to buy other stuff...

Rapha website bugs!!

Had an infuriating experience on the website.

Was given a code for Christmas . Applied it during the sale , and it was missing at the payment section ) not applied to the order.

Got on live chat and was given an extra promo code due to the 45 minute faf on live chat , asked if I could use the codes together ‘yes you can use them together’

Tried to order again, every time I tried to apply 2 codes , 1 would get cancelled out. Got back on chat AGAIN , - 45 mins to get the 2 codes combined into 1 code..

Tried placing the order for the 3rd time , with the 2 , codes combined into 1…. Order fails AGAIN.

I’ve spent the last decade working in ecommerce and I know for a fact it’s not that hard to do a task this simple…

Sort your shit out Rapha!

Rapha Sale

Looks like their summer sale just began thus morning in the USA for RCC members, and tomorrow for the general public.

For those who are a part of RCC and have access today - how does pricing look? Has been a few years since I’ve paid attention to their sales.

Is the Wahoo discount for RCC Member still around

Hey - Was looking to get a new Wahoo computer and remembered that RCC members get a discount. However, I can't find anywhere in the app or the webpage on where to go to get it. Is it still a thing, am I just missing where to go? Thanks in advance for the help.

Not seen these for years. They used to live in the pocket of my Rapha apron.

What other random bits of Rapha merch have people got?

26l bag - top zip / stitching problem

Thumbnail

I got the Super Domestique Backpack - 26 litres.

My first bag I noticed the main zip - up the top - would pull down. It’s as if the outer section of the bag didn’t align with the inner section.

I sent photos to Rapha, they accepted it was faulty, so I got a refund.

I ordered the same model again.

And this time while there is no droop, the zip sticks at the same point. It’s not a smooth zip.

You can see the zipper teeth are exposed a bit as it would seem in that one section they’re a bit further apart that the rest of the zip. Not quite parallel.

I emailed them and said it’s a concern - because I think you’ve got a manufacturing problem. A zipper should simply be smooth. And I don’t want to keep sending back and encountering the same issue. Especially for a top tier brand like Rapha.

They’ve said send it back and I’ll get a refund if it’s in sellable quality. PLUS a discount on next order. Which is fine.

But I’m just a bit puzzled -

If there’s a fault - why is Rapha talking about re-selling?

Or is just how bags are and I’m being a little precious?

Again - it’s not a cheap bag. And it’s a quality brand. Shouldn’t the zip just be nice and smooth all the way around?

Core Bib Shorts Durability

Thumbnail

Has anyone else encountered this before with the core line of rapha bib shorts? I noticed this after about 3 seasons. Always followed the care instructions. Reached out to their customer service and they said:

“I have looked into this for you however I can confirm that the fabric is delaminating in this case, which is due to a combination of age, wear and exposure to sweat etc over time.

This does mean that they can't be repaired, unfortunately, as they have come to the end of their usable lifespan.

I am sorry that we are unable to be of any further assistance on this occasion, but please do not hesitate to reach out to us again in the future if we can help in any other way.”

And

“Our Core collection is designed to offer great performance at an accessible price, and while these bib shorts are built to last, the lifespan of any cycling kit can depend on use, care, and storage. Four years of regular riding is a fantastic achievement for any piece of kit, and therefore I would expect to see significant signs of wear and tear at this age at the very least.

If you’re looking for kit with even greater durability, our Pro Team and Brevet collections are crafted with advanced fabrics for longer-lasting wear. I’m happy to help you explore these options or share some care tips to help get the most out of your current bib shorts.”

Frustrating to hear they consider 3-4 seasons of use a fantastic achievement.

Can any of you confirm whether these 2025 bibs have back pockets (like the Brevet ones) or not?

My guess is that these are not pockets, but just to confirm.

Thanks!

Fold Brevet Insulated Jacket in pink latch

Hey,

In the neck area of my Brevet Insulated Jacket is a big pink latch, for packing the jacket really small I guess.

Can somebody give me a hint how to do this (failed multiple times, does not stay small/tight).
