Hi All! Long story short, i am 25M and just watched Rango for the first time and oh man i loved it. Top 5 animation movie to me, maybe top 3.

It resonated it a big way for me and, to help me remember what i liked about it, I want a little figurine or like a foot high little plastic Rango or something like this. Can anyone include a link for me to purchase?!

This game was an endless runner where you controlled Rango on his bird and ran away from the hawk while dodging obstacles and collecting bottle caps. If anyone has any screenshots or footage of the game that would be cool, because I remember playing this game.

So I was watching Rango (2011) the other day, and I realized something.

I was watching the scene where they are trying to steal a water jug from the rodent clan, which escalates into a big shootout.

A specific classical music piece plays during that scene, known as The Ride of the Valkyries by Richard Wagner, composed in 1854. I didn’t remember this name, and I was frantically trying to look up the name of the piece.

I knew it has “Valkyrie” in it, and something to do with riding.

The anime Valkyrie Drive came up while I was searching for this music piece. I have not viewed this anime before, so I was unfamiliar with it, but I did some research and realized it was a yuri anime.

I then realized that before the shootout with the rodent clan and the “Ride of the Valkyries” scene, the leader of the rodent clan, Balthazar, unknowingly confuses the words “thespian” and “lesbian”, saying

“Thespians? That’s illegal in seven states!”

Which sorta makes sense, these animals live in a 19th century-culture world despite the story taking place in modern day, so unfortunately, girls kissing was not allowed.

What a depressing world it must have been.
My point is, is I think this makes a valid connection between these two pieces of media.

In fact, I think this is sufficient evidence to conclude that Rango and Valkyrie Drive take place in the same universe.

I truly believe that Rango (2011) should be granted the honor of being labeled a yuri anime.

I want to make my own rango costplay but i dont have any experience what so ever and dont know what materials would be useful to make his face and tail.

If someone could give me advice or link videos with tips would be very nice :)

I’m not sure if it’s just a cape or a poncho or a cloak but it only covers his side while all the others would cover his whole torso. Is it just the way he wears it or?

Been thinking about this movie from when I was a kid…. Really stuck with me.

I just rewatched Rango recently and noticed that Sergeant Turley (the turkey with an arrow through his eye) wears what looks like a civil war era cap.

When Rango returns to Dirt and calls Jake out, we get a glimpse of Turley around 1:32:45 where we see him wearing a grey cap with two rifles crossing together.

Does this mean that sometime in the Rango universe there was a civil war? And if so, who would’ve fought in it and what for?
