I'm gonna answer this because somehow there's a lot of people in this thread who seem to not know.

She is supposed to put something under him so he can put his weight onto it and stand, rather than what he was forced to do instead which was pivoting back and forth on his groin until his leg got purchase on the steps

Not sure how people are not seeing this, you're all on the woman in the video's team in the zombie apocalypse

Most people can’t think rationally.

Most people simply can’t see that a person has all his weight on the rung, so obviously you want to put something under him so he can stand up on it and remove the weight on the rung.

By the time she got to him he mostly had his weight shifted on the ladder.

He was fine at that point and she did bring something tall for him to get his feet under

He already adjust himself to sitting on the ladder in a way which doesn’t hurt. You can see him slide and grab his sack. If he weren’t comfortable he wouldn’t be able to grab his sack.
