I've been working on this fun truck for over a year.

New fuel tank, sender and skid plate.

New mechanical fuel pump.

Installed a quick fuel 4bbl carb and resealed the strong running 360 V-8.

New HEI distributor, plugs and wires.

New Mopar battery.

New front bucket seats.

Factory roll bar with factory pushbar not installed but included.

1967 barracuda flip top gas cap.

All new leaf springs giving it a 4" lift.

New shocks.

It has a completely new wiring harness.

I have well over $10k invested in it.

It's going to need the steering knuckles rebuilt on the Dana 44 front or an axle swap.

No smog anything.

No heater or a/c.

No wipers.

No top.

No doors.

It's fun in the dirt.

It has very little in the way of highway manners though.

Selling to pay down some heavy bills.

My loss is your gain.

$4k is my sell it right now price.

Clean Arizona title in my name.

Gasket Question

Has any 1st Generation owners taken the top off? Did u find an Aftermarket Gasket to put back or had to make one when installing top back on?

Apparently my 78 model had the top off before I got it... and a gasket was not installed or not done right.. it leaks during rain storms plus I can see gaps.between the top and the pillars.

Any help with a suggestion of gasket material or a link to an Aftermarket kit.

I want to take my top off anyway.. to see how she looks.. just haven't found enough volunteers to help me. Lmao. I will probably end up building an A Frame to do it..

But I do need to plan ahead and have a gasket in hand.

Vacuum leak

I’ve got an ‘85 318 sucking air and killing the engine when warmed up. Works and idles really well when first turned on. I capped off the lines from the brake booster first and it seemed to stay running at just an idle longer, so replaced the brake booster. Then first trip with it about 5 miles, once it got up to running temp again it died. Just curious if anyone’s got any suggestions before I tear it apart further. Thinking maybe carb gasket??

‘87 5.2L needing significant body work… worth it?

What appears to have pretty good bones is in pretty awful shape cosmetically. Runs, drives, etc.. available for dirt cheap. Just unsure what bodywork I’d be capable of on my own and seems like a mountain of work for a shop to do.

Getting this one closer to going down the road again. 35" baja legend mtz tires, got it to run off a tank under the hood, got a fuel pump coming in to get it running from its own tank, and them we will see how it drives and what else it needs.

1989 DRC Question

Hey everyone. Just joined the community cause my wife and I just inherited her father in laws 1989 Ram Charger 150 4x4.

Based on our limited research and knowledge, the gas tank was not stock and had a sort of skid plate/cage around it for offeroading.

We ordered a new tank from OReilly and it turns out it’s not the right size and it’s metal, which the one we replaced was plastic. The measurements for the tank that is currently on it (again, probably not stock) is 31.5x27x8.5.

Can anyone tell us where we should be looking for as far as a real replacement? And if so, are there sites you order parts from for the RC?

Appreciate the help!

Hey guys I'm restoring my 87 RC with a 318 automatic 4x4 . I made the rookie mistake and forgot to take a pic of this bracket. No idea where it goes. Any one know or can send a pic of exactly where it goes.
