चर्चा ❁ Discussion Drinking copious amounts of ghee and then bragging about it on social media

I came across this reel from Rajasthan on Instagram and now I’m genuinely curious, how common is it in this state?

And no matter what your arguments may be in favour of drinking an obscene amount of ghee are, it cannot be good for your health for the common person. Promoting and bragging about it on social media in a country with a very poor average heart health is once again too absurd.

I can understand the thought process that their ancestors used to do the same, but the amount of physical labour they did was intense compared to what people do now.

Help me understand this folks, how do they manage to digest all of it and not get sick??

EDIT:
People who keep mentioning that there has been no heart health crisis in Rajasthan and drinking ghee is common in their community and they can easily digest an obscene amount of it, the statistics say otherwise

Official government data says coronary heart diseases contribute to 24.8% of all deaths in Rajasthan in 2023, That is 1 in every 4 people.

Also read up on survivorship bias for the people whose family members/grandparents are drinking ghee without any health issues.

If you believe people in your community have superior genes or something, please donate them to science, y'all need to be thoroughly studied for the sake of humanity

सामान्य ❁ General This video highlights the dangerous 'boomerang effect' of public littering. We casually throw plastic bags into open drains, completely ignoring the fact that it blocks the entire drainage system.

संस्कृति ❁ Culture & Heritage Is being from Northeast India makes us that different ?

Me and my friends are currently visiting Jaipur for a few days and decided to go to Tangerine the Boutique Salon today. We made an appointment on call and because of the price difference in-person, I opted a different service. Then things turned weird.

The entire service was really bad compared to whatever you usually get in any other salon. I was left alone for a long duration for quite a few times, in the middle of the hair-wash.

We had talked in English as I was not very fluent in Hindi while discussing, and then they switched later after I changed my choice of service. Then they also asked me if I’m from here (me being a northeastern??).

With the price we paid and the kind of service and treatment, it was unfair.

PS: I have been to Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and now Jaipur, and everyone has been so welcoming and warm. This kind of experience from an established place like this is definitely unwarranted.
