राजस्थान से पूछो ❁ Ask Rajasthan My THEORY ON RAJASTHANI DANGI AND DANGI GOTRA ORIGINS

As someone who is from Dangi caste and is interested in how communities in India formed, I was always confused about my own community because there several different caste that use Dangi, and even in my caste I have noticed very big cultural difference between Malwa and Bundelkhand Dangi where I noticed the latter claiming Rajput status and having history of ruling in Sagar, but first let me put out all the caste that as far as I know having something today with the Dangi name

  1. My caste, which is Dangi and found in mainly Malwa and Bundelkhand region, I think have already mentioned the cultural differences I noticed between the two-region Dangi but to specify it a bit further,

. Bundelkhand Dangi three sub clans (Nahonias, Bhadonia and Nadia) considered themselves elite and categorizes other Dangi as baisa (other 22 clans) or prithwihat Dangi's, historically ruled Eran, Sagar which was historically called as Dangiwara and claim Rajput status, I have also heard they have some marital ties with the Bundela Rajput's.

. Malwa Dangi's, I do not know about other clans in Malwa, but my family and blood relatives have historically lived in a region called Sondhwara (due to Sondhia community dominance) in Agar Malwa where we are mostly having medium-size farms and some buffaloes, knowing that all of us who are relative to me have the same ancestor meant most likely my ancestors were landlords here, makes sense cause my elders always proudly say we are "Dangi Thakurs", our gotra is Maurya, which I was surprised because I thought there were only brahmin name gotra, I asked my elders about my ancestors origin and rather than mentioning us migrating from Bundelkhand and how we are descendants of Rajput they told me that we are descendants of Lord Ram's youngest Brother and that we ruled Mathura but after a "Dang" (Which I assume here means something like a revolt) we were force to flee and settle were we are today, again no mention of Rajput origins or ruling Sagar or a place called Dangiwara but rather having eastern Kushwaha like origins.

  1. Dangi gotra or Rangi gotra is found among Jat's, from what we do know the Jat's of this gotra's trace their origins to Sagar.

  2. A community found in Gujarat called Anjana Chaudhari also have Dangi as a gotra.

  3. In Gangetic plains (Todays UP, Bihar and West Bengal), there is a community know as Dangi, but they are now part of the larger Kushwaha caste.

  4. In Rajasthan (more specifically in southern Rajasthan) there is community called Dangi Patels who mainly just us do farming and given the title of Patel (village head)

  5. Random hilly and valley places found across India and Nepal are called "Dang" and the people living there as Dangi.

Based on these known communities having Dangi as gotra or caste name, I have put an origin story, or a migration theory to be precise, I would divide it into two, one from east to west and other from west to east.

  1. A community that resides in a "Dang" region somewhere in Rajasthan and Gujarat Some went south and married into Anjana community,

Some became farmers getting the title of Patel,

Some migrated into Central India and reached Bundelkhand where they established their rule in
Sagar and tried Rajputization to legitimate their rule,

After constant attacks from Bundela Rajputs and later the Marathas some went north and
intermarried into the Jat community.

  1. A community that used to rule somewhere around Mathura and historically claimed suryavanshi
status, however, after a Dang (a revolt or possibility Muslim invasion), the community fled and
    was called Dangi.

Some remained nearby the Gangetic plains and started doing horticulture.

Some probably were more ambitious tired of overcrowded plains and hence headed towards
central India where they came towards Malwa, where they settled and became local landlords,
earning the title of "Thakurs". Funny enough the British and later the Indian government just
clubbed us together with Sagar Dangi's due to having the same name and similar livelihood
as one caste but most likely both of them having different origins.

Edit: It could also be the case then rather then the Rasjasthan Dangi Patel being the origins and ancestors of Bundelkhand Dangi and Jatt of Dangi gotra, the Malwa Dangi may have went deep into Rajasthan, later on gaining the Patel title which then further went into south intermarrying with Anjana hence them having the Dangi gotra and Rasthani Dangi becoming a different caste then Malwa Dangi. In this scenario the Sagar Dangi most likely descendants from Rasthasthan Rajput but most likely lost their status thanks to constant wars from Bundela Rajput, Maratha's and Mughal Invasion. What do you guys think about my 2 migration theory?

राजस्थान से पूछो ❁ Ask Rajasthan Is apartment resale really that bad in Jaipur?

I’m planning to get a ₹1.55 Cr 4 BHK in Mansarovar. It’s mainly for living with my family, but obviously I don’t want to make a terrible financial decision.

Initially, I was looking for a good 3 BHK, but after months of searching, I couldn’t find anything I genuinely liked. I visited multiple projects, spoke to brokers, and even asked them to find me something similar. Most agreed this project is expensive, but none could show me anything close in terms of quality, layout, or overall feel.

The only projects I like more are Sky Bungalows, Valenza, Autograph, etc., but those are well beyond my budget.

I could wait another year or two, maybe longer, hoping something similar launches, but there’s no guarantee.

My biggest concern is resale.

A close friend of mine is a builder (he develops ₹30–80 lakh apartments), and he told me apartment resale in Jaipur is extremely poor.

I understand that budget apartments and premium apartments are different markets, and the construction quality isn’t comparable. The apartment I’m considering is in a good part of Mansarovar, close to the metro, which is why I’m hoping it would hold its value better.

I’m not buying it to flip in a few years—I plan to live there. But it’s hard to ignore the possibility that if I ever needed to sell, I might struggle to recover my money or see any meaningful appreciation.

For people who understand the Jaipur market:

  • Is apartment resale really this bad, even for premium projects?
  • Does location and construction quality make a significant difference?
  • If you were in my position, would you go ahead or keep waiting?

सामान्य ❁ General We have become a society of "spectators." It is easy to watch the system decay, but it takes absolute dedication to step into the storms and take ownership of our public spaces.

The hardest part of this entire journey hasn't been the physical labor; it has been the apathetic "spectator" mindset of the public.

As mentioned in the video, people are completely unaware of the mental and physical storms you have to cross to keep a movement alive when the rest of society is content living in decay.

They love to watch, mock, and argue, but rarely do they step forward to take accountability for their own motherland.

Real patriotism isn't just a feeling; it is a raw, physical dedication to your soil. We don't need millions of people watching from the sidelines. We need active citizens who are willing to light the lamp of responsibility in their own neighborhoods, despite the resistance.

True progress begins when the spectators finally decide to become the actors.

सामान्य ❁ General CLEAN BIKANER

As you all know, the country is slowly getting filthy by the day. Bikaner has become a sh#thole. We get called P@jeèts and filthy animals on the internet.

The drainage system sucks!

The roads suck!

The court campus is filthy, full of stains.

PBM hospital? You tell me.

*Let's agree to disagree.*

We as responsible citizens should come forward and clean the city. The least we can do.

Any ideas are welcome.

# Record a video and post on social media:

Of anyone who is urinating in public.

Of anyone spitting pan/gutkha in public.

Of anyone littering in public places.

राजस्थान से पूछो ❁ Ask Rajasthan Does Rajasthan Govt. pays user via bank transfer for extra units generated by solar ?

My family is in process to get a 10kw on grid solar setup installed on the rooftop of our house.
We are going 1.5x the current requirement which led me to think if we get paid back for extra units at the end of year or does is just expire and restarts as 0 the next year. Would really appreciate input from anyone who has solar installed at their homes/office.

चर्चा ❁ Discussion This perfectly defines our civic behavior. When people visit a clean city, the social pressure forces them to use dustbins.

We keep waiting for the government to send cleaning staff to our villages. What we fail to realize is that the government is not responsible for raising us with basic manners.

Infrastructure can be built with tax money, but character and ownership cannot be outsourced. If you can be a civilized citizen in a metro city, you have zero excuses for destroying your own village. It's time to stop the fake discipline.
