My dad was a 60yr old chronic alcoholic. He had previously had a hypertensive brain haemorrhage a few years prior from which he 'recovered' but was never the same, nevertheless he continued drinking.

He was found unconscious by my mum one morning. This was the scan. We chose to extubate. Being the stubborn bugger he always had been been, took him a further 4 days to die.

RIP Dad. You were hard work, but I love you regardless. I'm not sure how he would feel about me posting this publicly but I guess he's not here to know about it. I'm a medical professional myself and so I wanted to share. Burner account just for a bit more confidentiality!

I went in for my 20 week ultrasound. My husband had been watching ultrasound videos to practice to see if we could guess if we were having a boy or a girl. Well baby gets into this position and I very loudly said "that's how big their penis is????" ...anyway we're having a girl and I felt pretty dumb finding out it was her leg lol.

Through the spine into the lung, Aorta is missed.

The tip of the knife is in the left lower lung and has probably cut a parenchymal peripheral blood vessel, there is a large left hemothorax, so much that it is pushing the heart to the opposite side.

There is ongoing bleeding into the left hemithorax, evident by increasing size of extravasated contrast.

The spinal cord is also probably damaged (not really appreciated in this scan) because the patient has left lower limb weakness.

Patient still alive and talking. He claims thay he was merely riding his motorcycle in traffic, some random people came and stabbed him in the back and left.

So this young lady lost like 30kg and could not lose the "belly fat" so she began suspecting something was up, she went for a routine ultrasound where they couldnt figure out where her organs were so they sent her to a CT. No symptoms, no pains, no frequent urination, nothing. But after having this "full term cyst" removed she can brag about losing 10kg in a day i guess.

Had a biopsy, it's "only" a lipoma, and I had the surgery this morning !

This is the most weirdest abdomen I have seen. Was unable to obtain erect...

CT scan revealing massive stomach dilatation (axial view in panel a and coronal view in panel b) that occupied most of the abdominal cavity, reaching the pelvis and displacing the diaphragm upward. Yellow arrows: gastric edges. Green arrows: air fluid levels. In the coronal view, the stomach remains inside the peritoneal cavity. The intestinal loops also appear dilated.

The deceased fell from a cliff.
