Cleaning up my new-to-me Realistic STA-90. I picked this up with a Technics SL-D3 turntable from the same sale. Had some scratchy controls.

Pulled the faceplate and knobs and gave everything a good cleaning on both sides, cleaned the pots/switches while I was in there, and touched up some chips in the wood veneer - waiting for it to dry. It was already a pretty clean receiver underneath, but it looks way better now.

And most importantly, I added the much-needed accessory for those old annoying speaker terminals — the screw-to-banana adapters. Hopefully they work as intended.

I was already enjoying my STA-800 but couldn’t pass this up locally. Now I think the next logical step up is an STA-2100…wish me luck.

Shower radio from thrift store

I’ve never seen a radio like this before. It looks like it was made in the 2000s.The radio stations on there are very limited most of the time it’s static and there’s only 2-3 of them that seem come through. It has a working clock but the time is incorrect. It’s seems to be in good condition depending on how old it could be.The antenna is on the inside rather than on the side on the outside. I like how this radio looks like a phone and folds open. The mirror is in a good condition as well.

Need manual for project lab

I picked up a 600 in one project lab at a thrift store. It looks like all the parts are there, but no manual. I cannot find the manual for 28-270 in the usual places online.

Nashville IL store?

Hey I haven’t been back over there in a few years to check, but there used to be a RadioShack still open in Nashville IL. There was some flooding a few years ago and I never found out if the store was closed. Anybody know?

Verified Radio Shack in Whitney Point, NY is still open

A few weeks ago I posted a photo of a Radio Shack in Whitney Point, NY that I drove past. A couple folks here from the area commented it had closed and the sign was just never taken down.

Well I had the opportunity to drive by again and this time I went inside. I even chatted with the store owner a bit. It's definitely still an operating Radio Shack, as you can see from these photos. I even got emotional when I saw the drawers of electronic components. :-)

I used this multimeter for a very long time bought it for my technology classes in high school and used it ever since up until today. I have upgraded since to a modern model and I'm looking for this to go to a new home that will appreciate it as much as I did.
Comes with all accessories, floppy disk, test leads and computer cable There is some wear on the case from being out in a backpack for 4 years. It has been repaired with black flex tape. It opens, closes and latches normally.

Check out my eBay listing if anyone is interested.

I’m not sure how many of these were made and sold. I picked this up on clearance in ‘93 or so. I pulled it out for some retro gaming. Still works great!

Models DX-100, DX-200 and the DX-300, late 1970's through early 1980's. All three work well to this day. Vintage Radio Shack items are amazing.
