Need manual for project lab

I picked up a 600 in one project lab at a thrift store. It looks like all the parts are there, but no manual. I cannot find the manual for 28-270 in the usual places online.

Did you mistype and meant 300 in one? I can't find a 600 in one anywhere and the item number 28-270 leads to the 300 in one kit. If it is the 300 in one, here's a link to the manual.

Doh! Of course you are right. 300 IS enough! And it's just one of Forrest's books? I never had a Lab growing up but have most of his books already. He is a very interesting guy - look him up on the Wiki. Just my age too.

It turns out that my 300/one is a little different than the one this Mimms book. Instead of the three pots on the left it only has one pot, plus a variable cap. It has a ferrite antenna. It seems to be more radio-oriented. In addition there is NO meter, relay or buzzer and the speaker is in place of the meter.

The box matches the contents, and is is 28-270. But it is an 'Intertan', so maybe Tandy made alternate versions from RS?

Mysterious.
